The engine is a 6 cylinder with only 7,000 miles according to the odometer and auto check. The transmission is automatic and both are in great shape. I bought this car about 3 months ago with all intentions of making a drag car. Well plans have changed and I'm on my boat instead. Lot's more fun! lol This is a turn key and go car. up for sale is my 1978 for Fairmont coupe the car is set up for street/ strip use it hasn't been raced in a few years it has all its wiring the car has a 12.5 tire on the back with a ford 9 inch rear 4 wheel disc brakes it has a spool with 488 gears and strange 31 spline axels, ladder bars and coil overs the car has manual brakes power steering it has some kind of home made 10 point cage that needs to be finished welded in two spots car weight is 3000lbs with 351 and top loader 4speed as well as the reinforcements that have been done all with 2x4 box tubing including sub frame connectors the car is being sold no motor or tranny it is set up for a stick with a hydraulic clutch everything is still there car also has line locks and a dash with custom gauges the car has a clean tittle it is not perfect there is a few small rust spots but nothing major if you have any questions or would like to see it text me at 1347-566-9901 I am having an issue uploading pics text me and I can send them to you thank you
