2001 Ford F-250 Crew Cab Long Bed 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel 4x4 Pickup TruckNO RUST XLT model with power windows, locks, mirrors and driver's seat. We are a Power Stroke Diesel repair shop and on the side we buy a few trucks to fix and sell ourselves. We bought this truck with a bad transmission. We installed a new Ford trans and many other parts (listed below) and have been driving the truck daily. We are now fixing up another truck so this one is for sale. Truck runs and drives very well. Truck is very clean with a few small dents (see pictures) but has NO RUST! Starts right up in the cold. Engine has no blow by. Never had a gooseneck in the bed. 207,600 miles Before we bought the truck a few months ago it was a one owner from Arkansas. Truck is rough,overall,so,I will start with the good part first: solid body,almost no rust,it was a TX truck for most of his life,has some flaking paint,dents and dings all over,however,no rot,just superficial rust where the paint is scratched. Engine starts right up,does not smoke,idles smooth,no check engine light present. Transmission is good,no codes. Drives fine down the road. Has a beautiful smoke stack in the bed... The bad: turbo is blown or very weak,it does not have the power that it should have,EGR is disconnected,that affects the transmission too,because with lack of power and signal from the turbo,stays longer in gear before it shifts up,unless you manually upshift,then its fine... Tires are pretty much bald. AC does not blow cold. Interior is dirty. We noticed that it has some sort of extra fuel pump,electrical,with a switch on the dash,if you flip the switch,it will rev up higher... If you are mechanically inclined,buy it,drive it home,and fix it...if not,stay away from it and buy a nicer one for more money. BEST OFFER.
