1981 Ford F-100, Custom Standard Cab, 4.9L (6) 300 It runs great with the original 4.9L 6, 300, C6 auto tranny, factory power steering, factory power disc front brakes, factory AC and Owner’s Manual; it has only 104,493 low miles. It has new battery and cables, new muffler, new catalectic converter, new tail pipe. Tranny shifts great but kick down rod needs to be installed to perform correctly. This truck is all original and stock except for the radio; I installed a new AM/FM stereo that looks original and mounted in the original place with no modifications to the dash. History: This truck is a survivor. I purchased it from the original owners family in 11/06/2014 it had not run for over 4 years because the owner installed a high performance carburetor and manifold and had not made the final connections of the electrical, carburetor, transmission kick down rod and vacuum system. Because this was not done by a professional mechanic I traded the high performance system for the original OEM carburetor and manifold. After changing the oil and put in new gas it started right up and runs great. Because the kick down rod is not installed you have to shift manually and the transmission seems to work just great. EXTERIOR: The entire truck has a very straight body with only a few small dings and two small rust spots, one on the driver’s side rear bed and one on the passenger’s rear cab (see photos). The paint has some scratches but still looks good, would need a new paint job to look sharp and complete the restoration. It has new tires, catalytic converter, muffler, tail pipe, rear brakes, windshield, windshield wipers, spark plugs, alternator, voltage regulator, all new belts, parking brake cables and chrome front end. INTERIOR: The interior has new carpet, seat cover, sun visors, dash, weather stripping around doors and windows. This truck has been 85% restored and is an everyday driver that you can maintain yourself, or finish restoring it. LMC TRUCK has everything you would need to complete the restoration. I have driven it all over my neighborhood. I have a list of all new parts that I installed. This truck is being sold as is, where is, with NO warranty. Feel free to inspect the vehicle, or have it inspected by a third party before purchase. My reserve is what I have invested in this restoration. The registration is currently pending waiting for the following: Vehicle Identification by a Peace OfficerValid Weight CertificatePossible smog Inspection VIN: 1FTDF10E5BLA21770 Pick up of this vehicle is the sole responsibility of the buyer.

I'm an honest and fair guy so I'm listing all the bad stuff up front. Despite some of this stuff this is a solid '64 Styleside truck, I bought it a couple years ago and replaced a lot of new parts to get it drivable. I can't find any MAJOR rust issues. It does have some minor rust on the floor pans and a little underneath the rockers and doors. It has some wiring issues. I would re-wire this truck if I were to keep it. Previous owners (I believe I'm the fourth) have done creative things to get the headlights to work. They turn on through a toggle switch. The switches on the dash have been re-arranged. Some dumbass cut the radio holes bigger to accommodate a modern stereo. The taillights and turn signals do not function. Steering column may have come from a different truck. The transmission works and shifts ok, but will jump into reverse if in park and sometimes into drive if in neutral. I adjusted the linkage but couldn't relieve the problem. The speedometer does not work, It has some aftermarket gauges that don't function, but I do have a replacement dash bezel. Heater does not work. Fan blows, but no heat. Some wiper scratches on the windshield. Lots of small leaks around window seals. Rear end has a missing shock mount, so I fabbed up a set and welded them on. Id look into a different gear ratio because the engine revs high 50 MPH+ These trucks were geared low from factory. Maybe add overdrive to tranny. Now for the good: I have replaced the carbuerator, fuel pump, fuel filter, sending unit, starter and solenoid, voltage regulator, battery, battery cables, points, plugs, wires and cap. The factory 292 has had a top end rebuild, starts easy and runs great. Truck runs cool and doesn't over heat. Brand new steering wheel and center cap, (horn doesn't work) put a new horn relay as well. New arm rests. New wheel bearing and grease caps,I replaced the king pins and shackles, eyes and bushing. kept the leaf spring because they are plenty strong. Installed a new steering damper as well as the drag link and tie rod ends. I rebuilt the entire manual brake system. Flushed the system, rebuilt the master cylinder, replaced all the rubber hoses, brand new wheel cylinders all the way around, new pads and springs, brand new brake drums. I put new parking break cables and replaced the pull handle too. The parking brake does NOT function. I found a few hard to find parts to remedy this but haven't installed yet. I took of the rust factory trailer type mirrors, and bought the sleek round style with the bullets on them. The seat had been re-apolstured right before I bought it two years ago. I installed a new ignition switch and had the door cylinders re-keyed to match. Also keyed the lock on the factory tool box. (passenger side at lower bed) Replaced the glove box liner too. I replaced the door seals and window felts too, passenger window sometimes falls out of track do to broken tab when rolled down. I replaced the rubber gaskets around the wing windows, they are a little stiff to open and close now. Some new parts and used included that haven't been installed: front windshield rubber rear leaf spring U-bolts (4) front leaf spring rear bushings(2) dash bezels (2) one with speedo, other blank lower passenger side door hinge five steel ford rims 5"x15" non matching years original oil bath air filter Shop manual converted to sheetprotectors in a 3 ring binder operators manual some brake parts to fix the parking brake in rear drums original horn ring original wing side view mirrors (pitted and rusty) dual side steel toolbox Bottom line is: This is a great truck to fully restore, hot rod or just drive it and have fun. I get compliments everywhere I go in it. Ive invested over $5200 in this truck. $500 non refundable deposit due at end of auction. Im selling locally as well, so reserve the right to end auction early. Thanks for looking!
