I'm selling a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT 4X4 Extended Cab. This truck runs very well and comes loaded with a ton of features such as remote start, 4x4, bed liner, tow package, and tonneau cover. It's a 5.4L V8 that runs well. It has good tires with a lot of tread remaining, fender flares, and a custom Plasti Dip fender paint job. I'm only selling it because I no longer have a use for the towing/hauling capabilities and would like to save a bit on gas. It has higher mileage (279k) but really doesn't run like it at all. Known issues: It previously had a check engine light on (with an EVAP code). I cleaned out the EVAP canister filter two weeks ago and the light hasn't come back on (it would previously come on immediately after starting). No other dash warning lights are on. It is a little slow to fill with gas, which I understand is related to the EVAP canister. The passenger's side extended cab door (not the regular door) does not open. I believe it's a latch, which isn't very expensive, but beyond my ability to repair. There is rust near the base of this truck in certain areas, mainly on the driver's side. It was parked on the street and would get hit with water, so it caused some rust damage on the driver's side. For the most part, there is very little visible rust as the fender flares and custom Plasti Dip fender paint job cover it. Up for sale. 1996 Ford F-250 XLT 4x4 Powerstroke. Vehicle is my daily driver and miles will go up. The only reason I am selling it is to help pay for a new truck. This truck is very reliable, I would drive it to Florida and back to Iowa right now. It is in Cedar Rapids, IA. 52405 New parts this year (2015): Waterpump Waterpump Outlet Thermostat All New antifreeze TS 6 Position- Helps with towing New Radio Air Filter Fuel Filter Oil Changes every 4,000 miles. Front Shocks (10,000 pound) Both Upper Ball Joints Both Lower Ball Joints U-Joints on front axles Both Outer Tie Rods and Sleeves Idler Arm 4 Tires Fuel Pressure Regulator and Housing Starter Both Batteries Transmission Flush (Fluid and Filter) And a few more things I probably forgot. Mechanically, the truck is perfect. Does not leak or burn any fluids. Engine does not have a drop of oil anywhere. All axle seals are nice and dry. Transmission is nice and dry. Starts right up every morning and 4x4 goes right in the second you pull the shifter. The only thing mechanical left to do is alignment. It pulls to the right slightly but not terrible. Drives fine for me. Has hitch and wired for lights. The interior is in great shape. Only thing wrong is the side of the drivers seat where electric seat control is, is hanging down. Very small tear in drivers seat as shown. Other than that, nice interior. Electric locks and windows. Onto the body, the truck is 99% rust free. I have a picture showing a very small paint chip on the passenger fender where it is just starting to rust. Other than that, nothing. The bodywork I Did. The drivers box had a small dent above the wheel well, so I put Kitty hair on there and bondo over it. The drivers door and fender had kissed at one point so I did the same thing with kitty hair and bondo. Than a good wind gust got the door again when I opened it, that is why the drivers door and fender is bent up. I do have the paint in hand. The tail gate is dented, but I have another tailgate I will put on it, same color and in perfect shape. Any questions, let me know. Truck runs and drives like a dream, just needs a little body work. This is a 200 Ford F-250 Turbo Diesel 7.3 With automatic 4 speed. I bought it in2006 with 150,00 miles on it from a Ford Dealership. Its main purpose was to pull my camper. I boght the camper ,, then bought the truck to pull that camper. She has been my baby for that time. I had to buy a replacement computer when my old one gave up at 225,000. that was a cost of just under 3.000. Then the transmission started act up, so I went and had it rebuilt.That was a cost of 4500. Those two items are out of warranty due to time they have about 10,000 miles on them. Just last October I took it over to Sears and had both batteries replaced with Die hard batteries, At a cost of 330. I have all work done at a local repair shop in Waterloo Iowa. I went in in October and had new tires and tie rod ends and alignment done at a cost of 1200. Truck runs great and I would trust it to go anywhere. I had a fifth ball hitch put under the bed at a cost of 600. Never used it as I bought a tongue pull camper. It also has a factory hitch with the seven prong wiring for it and the trailer brake under the dash. This has been a great truck I am only selling because I bought a new one and my wife told me to clean out the driveway.After twenty years of marriage it is to expensive not to listen when talked at!
