Up for sale is a rare and fun car to own. This car recently had the engine rebuilt, transmission gone through, and many new parts. Roughly 8000 miles on all the work. This is a car you can hop is and drive, but would also be a nice car to restore. As you can see from the pictures the car needs paint/body work. I don't have the front bumper skirt for it, but I have all the rest of the original Shelby stuff including the fiber wheels that will come along with the car. The car is being sold as-is with no warranty or returns. The car needs TLC and work, but as stated runs and drives good. Last few years it was at the Mopars on the Mississippi's car show in Dubuque, Iowa. Any filler remaining was removed from the body and the restorer was left with a clean start. A professional assessment called for a new sub-frame, firewall extensions, and front and rear floor pans. New LH and RH fenders were added as well as a RH door shell and both L & R door skins. A rear body panel was fitted along with LH and RH quarter panels. The chassis was undercoated and inner fender liners and lower trunk side panels were replaced. New roof drip molding was also added. The Firebird now sits in a brilliant Carousel Red finish. Grills, bright work (emblems inside and out) and lenses are also NEW. PERFORMANCE: Power comes from a brand new Chevy LS3 crate motor pushing 430hp. The 6.2L V8 is mated to a brand new 4L65E 4-speed auto transmission. A muscle car oil pan was added to the LS3. The new auto shifter has been professionally installed on the floor using the factory center console. A new fuel tank and lines were fitted as well as transmission lines. A complete wiring kit was installed to accommodate new lighting, accessories. A Vintage Air A/C system is now in place for those Hot August Nights. Always use the monster mats on top of the standard carpet mats to keep everything clean. Always use Castrol synthetic with Wix filters for my oil changes every 3k miles, new Wix air filter as well. Wrap on steering wheel is to protect the leather as sometimes my hands have oil/dirt on them after work. Wheel is pristine underneath it.
