CUSTOM 1967 FORD F250 PICKUP MADE IN AMERICA!!! - RESTO-MOD FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA I inherited this pickup from my dad, who bought it new, a true “One family truck”. I used this truck as my work truck for 35 years, and on weekends and getaways it carried a camper. In 2003, I started a complete frame up restoration, First with a lot of custom body work, and then the engine and chassis and finishing with the interior. This took over five years of time and a lot ($40K+) of funds. I finally had to tell myself “ I had better stop now”, and claimed the project finished. Here is a summary of what was accomplished in the”Restifi-modification” of a Super F250 Ford: DRIVETRAIN Built 460 Ford Big Block, , connected to a Custom TRW built C6 transmission with a Gear-Vendors Under / Overdrive unit, the driveshaft was shortened, upgraded to 1350 U-joints, and then balanced. This sends the twist to a rebuilt Spicer 60 with 3:73’s and Fords traction-lock unit. FRAME & SUSPENSION The front and rear suspension is rebuilt and connected to a refinished stock frame. The springs were replaced with lowering springs front and rear, retaining the F250’s weight capacity. It has heavy duty Gabriel “E’” shocks all around. They control the motion of the custom American Racing wheels, with 8” x 16.5 fronts and 11” x 16.5 rears, these are shod with 8:00 and 10:00 Firestone rollers. BRAKES The factory drum brakes were change out for a complete power disk brake conversions on both the front and rear. The rears were custom machined and fabricated for the full floater F250 rear end in Arizona. ENGINE The engine is a built 460 Ford big block, bored, cam kit, and balanced. Massaged heads topped by an Edelbrock aluminum manifold, with a Holley 750, and a custom air cleaner. It has a newer style Weiand aluminum water pump turned by March Billet pulleys, Ford Racing electronic ignition and distributor, Ceramic coated Headers provided by JET HOT of AZ. Connected to the headers, the rest of the exhaust is a custom mandrel bent 3” system, with Flowmasters, full tailpipes and Megs by Ed Hanson Mufflers COOLING The engine is now cooled with a three row aluminum radiator from Jegs, with twin Perma-Cool electric fans, the transmission has a large external cooler and the A/C SYSTEM by Vintage Air. GAS TANK The gas tank is a custom built stainless steel unit fabricated and installed by Dave Williams. The original tank was removed from inside the truck cab, the gas filler hole was filled in, and the new stainless tank was mounted in the front of the pickup bed. BATTERY The truck has an Optima Battery that is custom mounted in a swing down bracket under the truck, it is wired with an ”on board” battery maintainer system that you plug in when storing / parked. INTERIOR UPGRADES This truck has been upgraded with an Ididit “shifter” tilt column, topped with a Leather wrapped La Carrara steering wheel from Billet Specialties, a custom dash filled with Auto Meter “Vintage” gauges, L M C Classic Radio with Sirius XM , a 12 Disk CD Changer. There is a Heat - Defrost & A/C Unit by Vintage Air under the dash. The all electric custom bucket seats are from the last version of Fiero GT, that have been covered with custom upholstery, they bracket a custom upholstered center console, along with door panels and headliner. The custom auto lock seat belts by Juliano’s. It has wind wing delete, tinted, one piece, Electric side windows, and a new windshield. The cab was painted to match exterior and finished with custom carpeting. EXTERIOR : PAINT AND BODY - UPGRADES This truck has some outstanding custom touches, that were performed, finished and painted by Dave Williams Auto Body : Starting with the removal of all exterior trim, and filling the all of the holes from the hood, doors, bed sides stake pockets and tailgate. The original rain gutters are removed and smoothed, the original pickup stake pocket holes were all filled. Front bumper polished and chromed. A new grill was buffed and chrome plated. At the rear there is a custom rolled pan , and a smoothed tailgate. The bed is covered by a custom hard bed cover lid fabricated by Gaylords of Los Angeles. After Dave completed all of the custom work, he applied all of the paint, stripes and clear coats, sanded, cut and buffed. The finished product was superb!!! Here is a jewel of a truck. No smog required, excellent original condition and awesome color combination. Green/Off White with green interior. Its a work truck that is fund to drive and gets loads of attention. Perfect patina throughout. Its been well cared for and would be awesome if it were run like this forever. Ford Aluminum rims with BF Goodrich Commercials 16" tires. Great wheels, serviced and all fluids changed, new coil and vacuum lines. Runs good. Bought new in June 1978 for use as a contractor truck. Used for this purpose until 1982, after which it has been rarely driven. Bought a new Snug Top cab-high shell in 1984 along with some chrome and black wheels with oversized chrome axle caps. Stored the truck in a garage of one of my rental houses for over 15 years which helps account for the very low original mileage on the vehicle. Minor accidents over the years but always took care of any dents or scratches in a timely manner. Original engine and transmission. Replaced the radiator and all hoses about 4 years ago. I thought this truck would in my possession until I died but I decided to let it go to a new home where it can be appreciated and used proudly by a new owner. If I think of more things to say about the truck they will be added.

1969 Ford F250 with Rebuilt 390 has less than 3500 miles on rebuilt motor. It is rear wheel drive and has a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission with floor shifter conversion. Originally sold with a 360 motor,and as a "camper special" edition which includes an extra long eight foot bed with locking bedside storage compartment. I have checked/recorded all internal part numbers while rebuilding the motor, and have documented all internal measurements/dimensions in order to accurately verify the status of the 360 to 390 motor conversion. It "does" have the higher profile(390) crankshaft & the cylinders "have" been bored out to accept 5" pistons(390) instead of the stock 4-1/2"(360). Cylinders were honed and valves were lapped during complete tear down/rebuild done a few years ago.All new internal/external parts including:NEW camshaft bearings, crankshaft bearings, piston rings, valve seals, freeze plugs, engine gasket kit, belts, spark plugs, spark plug wires, radiator, high volume oil pump, starter solenoid, re-manufactured starter, rebuilt stock 2 barrel carburetor, electric choke, rebuilt distributor w/addition of electronic points eliminator kit assembly, distributor cap, high flow water pump, thermostat, transmission filter & pan gasket, replacement front end support/radiator support, electric fuel pump, headlights, tachometer, diamond plate tool box in bed, diamond plate side rails with six "hide a hook" hidden (flip up/down) tie down hooks, tail light lenses, nice "GT Grant" wooden steering wheel, electronic door lock actuators with remote key chain controller, chrome trailer ball hitch.Great truck, its a 2nd vehicle, so it has gotten little drive time(less than 3500 miles on motor since being rebuilt about 4-5 years ago). Truck runs really good as is, but could benefit from a good carburetor tuning or upgrade. Still plenty of room for customization/improvements, just did not have enough funds to upgrade to things like a 4 barrel carburetor/performance intake manifold etc. Truck is smog exempt, has a clean title, the registration is good until November 2015.
