However, I replaced the alternator, and tires this year, both high dollar items, but just can't pull the trigger on any more funding. If you budget about $1,800 - 1,900 on a rebuilt transmission, this will make a nice 2nd or son/daughter vehicle for you. The engine is in good shape, and we've kept up with changing the oil regularly, and have changed the spark plug packs as needed. As mentioned, the AC works but often times, it cuts out, I live with it, but perhaps it only needs a shot of freon. The body is OK, a few dings from typical parking lot issues of banging from other car doors, but otherwise still a decent vehicle. The head lamps are beginning to yellow, showing it's age.I've priced it with the work needed in mind. All yours for $1,600.00. It's a used SUV, good engine, tires, no rust, but recognizing that it's over 10 years old. This was the family car for local and vacation driving.

It has 191k miles on it, still runs good. Very clean inside and out. It has a lot of features that make it perfect for camping or generally for outdoor activities. As seen on pictures it has a great roof rack, a trunk that opens completely and from the window, it has the choice between AWD and 4x4 transmission. It has a spare tire and a kit for replacing. It has tinted back windows for shade, wind and bug deflectors so you have your windows open on the highway, ABS, cruise control and more.The only issue is a coil for the 4th cylinder is dead, so the car is running on 5 cylinders instead of 6 (it's a V6). The car drives long hours on the highway (I just put 3,000 miles on a road trip from Boston with it in the past 2 weeks), but at one point coils will have to be replaced, which is costly. When you add the price of this repair to this car, it will still be in the lower price range of anything on Craigslist or at a used car dealer.Come try the car for yourself, I can bring it over in the Charlotte County area or to Fort Myers area (for example). The inside and out are very clean.
