The Escape has a clear and clean Green Michigan title.RECENT MAINTENANCE-Shortly after we bought it, the gas motor developed a rod knock. Thinking we would be keeping it for a while, we invested over $2,500 in having a new (used) gasoline motor installed. We purchased the lowest-mile unit available within a 500-mile radius, and the replacement gas motor only has 67,000 miles on it. The motor was installed by a local automotive repair center and features a 6-month warranty. All paperwork is available for inspection and will be provided to the buyer at the time of sale. Note, the hybrid system was unaffected by the gas motor and works great.-At the time of the new motor being installed, brakes and suspension components were checked and given a clean bill of health.-New Accessory Belt, Oil, and fluids (November 2015 at time of engine swap)-Fresh interior and exterior detail (November 2015)-New Battery (October 2015)WHAT ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW-There are a couple pinpoint-sized spots of rust just above the wheel well. You are looking at a 2009 Ford Escape Limited Hybrid 4WD with Silver Clearcoat Exterior and Stone Leather Interior. It has 75,293 miles and is not in service now, being kept in our garage. We are the original owners, purchased the vehicle new in June, 2009, and have all original documentation and service records. It has been completely detailed. In addition to everything on the window sticker, which you will see in the pictures, we have installed a factory Class 1 hitch (1 ¼” receiver) and wiring for a bike rack or hauling a small trailer, although we have only used it once. We have two drawbars for it, one has a 1 7/8” ball and the other has a 2” ball. The balls and tongues can be changed around as necessary for whatever ball size/rise/drop you might need. It also includes All-Weather Floor Mats for Front and Rear as well as a Cargo Floor Protector. We installed OEM replacement Michelin tires in November, 2014 at 64,500 miles. The service records show that everything is in good shape. The brake lining depth moved from green to yellow in the last service visit, so will need to be addressed in the future depending on use. There is also a small spot of rust in the right rear fender where the body panel comes together with the fender liner. This is a common problem with this model year vehicle, and probably should be addressed by the new owners in the future to make sure it doesn’t get worse if it will be in a northern climate with salt on roads, or near an ocean. There is also a small ding in the left rear fender lip from a parking lot somewhere. I have taken pictures of these areas so you can see what they look like. There is no warranty expressed or implied, and the vehicle is available for local pickup in East Lansing, Michigan.
