This Escape looks and drives great and has great Carfax service records as well. This is a two owner rust free, accident free Florida vehicle that was traded in at our local Chrysler dealership here in Ft. Myers in this shape, NO auctions! Again Carfax shows lot's of service records and being a true Florida vehicle even the underside is still nice and clean, you won't see that on any northern vehicle. The exterior looks very nice with a deep Ford shine with no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The factory wheels look nice as well and there are matching Bridgestone tires with plenty of tread remaining to help give this Escape a smooth and quiet ride. There is a roof rack, side tube style running boards and a hitch that looks to have never been used. The interior too looks nice and is very clean and there is plenty of room both front and rear and good hatch area as well. The leather seats are in great shape and very comfortable and all the power options work fine including the ice cold air conditioning. The only thing to mention is the stereo sounds great but I couldn't get a Cd to play. What a pleasure to drive. The Hybrid engine runs great and again will deliver great fuel mileage and save you a bundle at the pumps and there are no service lights on. The brakes are smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles. It really is a pleasure to drive and has a nice tight feel to it, I think you will love it. Here's the story. DIVORCE. I literally bought this vehicle a few weeks ago as a 3rd vehicle, only to have my wife spring the horrible news on me soon after. So I need to let it go before I even had a chance to really enjoy it. You will be VERY hard pressed to find a 2006 in cleaner condition both inside and out. It is fully loaded with leather, navigation, sunroof, p/w, p/l, cruise, a/c, roof rack, alloy wheels, backup sensors, standard 110 household outlet, hitch, fog lights, power drivers seat, heated front seats, and a nice loud stereo with built in factory subwoofer. The navigation panel also has the hybrid screen and you can see that the hybrid system is functioning properly. The reason this vehicle is priced so much less than any other around, is because the wrench light/service soon lights are on the dash. I had planned to figure it out and fix it, but this all happened so fast I did not get the chance. With a diagnostic code reader, no error codes are shown!! I can tell you that the hybrid battery stays cool, the hybrid cooling fans are functioning, and cool air is being blown in to cool the battery. The previous owner said the light had been on for months and had not affected the way it drove. I would have to agree. I have put a few hundred miles on it and it drives super smooth. Come drive it yourself! These are the same Escape Hybrids being used in NY and San Fran as cabs with 300-500K miles on the original batteries. Do the research, I did! Clean title in hand. Comes with original Ford books in the glove box and full set of navigation DVDs. I am leaving town this Friday evening July 10 and wont be back for 10 days.
