We are pleased to offer 1986 Euro model 328 GTS s/n 59649, well documented from new back to the selling dealer and first owner, from new in Rosso Corsa FER 300/6 with cream leather and currently being treated to a 30k cam-belt service. S/n 59649 was sold new by Auto Becker, the authorized Ferrari dealer for Düsseldorf, Germany before coming to the US, and has a well-documented ownership and service history since new. Comes with the full set of owner’s books complete with the original warranty card listing the first owner, plus their leather carrying pouch; the tool roll and all tools; the vinyl cover for the removable Targa top and a three ringed binder with plastic sleeves for all original ownership and service documents. Also comes with both a very nice wooden rimmed steering wheel plus the Factory original leather-wrapped wheel. All major mechanical components have been serviced through its life and so the engine, transmission, brakes and suspension all work as they should. We have all original invoices and service docs on file. 328 GTS s/n 59649 has just had a pre-sale inspection done by Dugan Enterprises, Oceanside, CA, and is currently being treated to a full cam belt service including all new rubber belts; an oil and filter change; an A/C service plus a full new set of 205/50/16 front and 225/50/16 rear Kumo tires. A list of minor problems such as a loose left mirror; a new air intake boot and an engine bay detail are being resolved. Estimated final invoice, approximately $5,000.00 which is included in the sale price. Pre-sale inspection and estimate on file. The Rosso Corsa FER 300/6 paint is very nice and appears to be all original with no signs of spot repairs over the years and all panels have excellent gaps and fit. There is no evidence of accident repairs to the body, underside or chassis. The trim, gaskets, window glass and lenses are also in excellent condition. The cream leather on the seats and door panels is in excellent condition, especially considering that it is now 31 years old! The dash covering and headliner are in excellent condition, again, especially considering that it is now 31 years old! The carpets have been protected by throw rugs and are also in excellent condition. The car had excellent drivability and functioning of all systems and has been extremely well sorted before the current service and will be even better when finished! It goes straight hands-off with no shimmy and brakes in a straight line. The engine bay is nicely detailed and the under panels, belly pan and suspension are in good condition. The A/C is being recharged and will blow cold. 328 GTS s/n 59649 is fitted with the Factory optional 7 x 16 front and 8 x 16 rear wheels with a new set of 205/50/16 front and 225/50/16 rear Kumo tires. The 328 succeeded the highly popular 308 for the 1986 model year and offered an increased displacement V-8 plus a myriad of detail improvements throughout. The mid-engine 328 featured an upgraded 3.2-liter V-8 putting out 270 horsepower, thanks to a sophisticated Marelli electronic ignition system and the retained Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. The styling was freshened with new seat patterns, new door handles and tidier and more modern treatment to the front and rear bumpers both of which were painted in body color. The controls were significantly reworked as well, with new switch gear and revised dashboard and door trims. Production of the 328 ended in the fall of 1989, marking the end of the transverse mid-engine Ferraris, a line that began with the 246 Dino. As one of the last Ferraris engineered and launched during Enzo Ferrari’s lifetime and as the last of the pre-computer Ferraris, the 328s are revered for their blend of usability and comparable reliability, as well as the comparative ease of servicing, thanks to in-car engine service work and cam-belt replacements. This particular 328 GTS was built in August 1989 and it was one of the very last 328's ever made! Model year 1989 production #'s starts at 78835 and ends 83136 and my 328 GTS is 82959. This Ferrari is investment quality with less than 19k miles and it was the Ferrari Club of America Platinum Concours (First Place) award winner at Concorso Italiano, as shown in photos. This model is much rarer than many people realize. Only 1089 328GTS models were produced in 1989 (see link below) and very few were made in blue. This car was designed when Enzo Ferrari was still alive and it has the coveted 5 speed gated shifter. With the average new Ferrari costing about $275k, these cars are relative bargains now and are starting to increase in value. They are not making any more of these and this model is becoming very hard to find, especially with only about 18.8k miles. Furthermore, the 1989 model is the most desirable and most valuable to collectors due to a number of refinements including ABS brakes. This model is in a rare and gorgeous blue metallic color. It has an excellent service history and it had a major $8k service less than 700 miles ago, so it is ready to enjoy. I was going to keep this car forever, but I rarely drive it because it is kept in a garage at a relative's house which is not close to where I live and they plan to move so I need to sell the car as I don't have the garage space. If this award winning, extremely low mileage and well-serviced car was at a dealer the price would be significantly higher. In Europe, these cars cost about twice as much on average as they do here and many Europeans are buying these cars in the US and shipping them back. With a very high serial number of 82959, this is one of the last 328's ever produced (83136 was the last one making this one of the last 200 ever made). This adds to the collectibility and investment quality of this car. These cars are not depreciating in value, in fact they are going up and are poised for very big gains in the coming years. If you buy a new Porsche for over $100k, you can watch it depreciate to about $35k over the next 10 years. I think a classic car like this makes a lot more sense financially because it is likely to rise in value, and it is much rarer than a 911. In 10 years or so, a top example 328 GTS could follow the same price trajectory as the model it replaced: A top, award winning and low mileage example of the 246 GTS can go for about $500k. Due to its exceptional interior and exterior condition, this particular car is an award winner as it has the platinum award from the Vintage Concours in Woodland Hills. This car includes all books, tools, service records since new, both keys, (two sets) and a clean carfax report. This car comes with a trickle charger which makes it easy to maintain. Of course it also comes with the Platinum Concours Award plaque as shown in the photo. This is an investment quality car due to it being a 1989 model, a concours award winner, one of the last 328's ever produced, it has a rare blue color, an exceptionally clean tan interior and because of the extremely low miles and proper service history since it was new. The second owner bought the car in 1990 and kept it until 2014 when we purchased the car and sent it out for a major service. The work included the following.
