2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ONLY 5,180 miles! Looks and drives like new. Very rare and highly desired color combination- snakeskin green with white stripes. Everything working mechanically and no issues. Recent oil change with factory recommended Mobile 1 full synthetic and front end alignment. Runs strong and sounds great. Car is in original condition with no mechanical modifications. I have owner's manual and 2 sets of keys with key fob. I purchased this car with a salvage title after the car was in an accident. The damage was only cosmetic. It appears that it may have spun out through a field as there were scratches and or damage on the fiberglass/composite panels all the way around. The airbags did not deploy and there was no mechanical damage. I took the car to a very experienced body man who did an outstanding job making cosmetic repairs. The entire car was painted with the exception of the hood/top. The new finish was wet sanded and looks as good and maybe a little better than the factory paint. Interior/exterior/engine compartment all in excellent condition. I Plasti coated the wheels black. Plasti coat is a rubber coating that covers like paint but can be peeled off if you want the original polished aluminum look back. I have driven the car over 1,000 miles with no issues. You gotta love the early Viper roadsters. It has a body built for sin with nothing else added into the mix. The giant motor was cloaked in a minimalist swoopy design that earned its snake bitten name. The Summit White paint, and matching white wheels, make this one look like it's trying to appear virgin-ally innocent, but we all know better. If the dual blue racing stripes weren't a dead giveaway, the adjustable rear racing wing is a loud proclamation to how special this Viper really is. Weight is the enemy in this sports car, so there are racing style side curtains and a temporary fabric roof. For those who need a little more security, there is also a double-bubble matching hard top to use that makes this look like its GTS brother. Inside, it's all about the right equipment for a pure speed machine. The black leather bucket seats keep you planted behind the wheel, and there's no room for sliding around in an interior that completely envelopes the driver. Your arm fits so that your favorite resting spot is right on top of the gear leaver. A full gauge package is at eye level, and the black-on-white background readouts couldn't be simpler. There is room for a bit of luxury such as an AM/FM/CD changer stereo, keyless entry, and air conditioning. There's also a plaque on the dash to remind you that this special Viper was #24 in Hennessey's very limited run. It was thought that the V10 in the Viper couldn't get any better, but that was until Hennessey Performance got its hands on the motor. The $30,000 Venom 600 package includes a powerplant upgrade, with a .060 bump in bore and .80 in stroke, to a whopping 520 cubic inches. It's reinforced with a 5140 steel crankshaft, 4340 billet-steel connecting rods, 10.0:1 compression forged aluminum pistons and a roller camshaft. The result is a dominating 650 horsepower and 642 lb-ft of torque, and of course, an exhaust rumble that rivals all track cars. This is mated to a six speed manual transmission that then sends power to a Hennessey 3.54 ratio limited-slip rear end for excellent takeoff and acceleration. Traction is not a problem thanks to super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport tires. But the really good news is this ultimate Viper has averaged less than 1,200 miles per year during its lifetime, and so you know it hasn't spent many Saturday nights teaching lessons to lesser cars. Buying a Viper from Hennessey in the 90s was like buying a muscle car from Grand Spaulding Dodge in the 60s. This is a roadster that is amazing fun from the start and has a rare pedigree name that will continue to build its ultra desirable status in the classic circles. When you get to the car show you can even bring out the binder with the original window sticker, warranty card, owner's manual, and maintenance records. Big horsepower, no roof, and a minimum of creature comforts, it was the modern embodiment of the original Cobra. This 1995 Dodge Viper, like many of its kind, has been cherished since new and remains a monument to an era when Chrysler Corporation reinvented itself on the back of the snake. There's probably nobody on the road who doesn't recognize the bright red Viper as something remarkable. The swooping body was rendered in various plastics, not aluminum like the Cobra, but the resemblance is definitely there. Sporting only 27,000 original miles, this beast is near perfect. Perhaps there are only so many ways to clothe a giant engine and a minimalist chassis. The long hood, short deck works well here, and has been washed and waxed so carefully throughout its life that it still has a showroom shine. Sure, it's been driven, but there is no evidence of abuse, and specifically no track use anywhere on the car, and even things like the chin spoiler and rocker panels remain remarkably free of road rash, it's even possible that this car has never seen rain. Inside, the minimalist approach paid serious dividends with a pair of deeply bolstered buckets, and mostly the essentials. By 1994 A/C was an option, and it's included on this car, but other than that, if it didn't make the car go faster, it was not available. This interior has seen some custom enhancements throughout and the custom tailored leather bucket seats hardly show signs of wear. The custom, wide center console has been covered in red leather that stretches out to the door panels and straddles the 6-speed manual transmission. The instruments are all individually nestled into their own round openings in the dash for a seriously racy look. The original stereo was a basic off-the-shelf Chrysler piece, so it's been upgraded to a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/DVD unit that powers great-sounding aftermarket speakers by JL Audio and Focal. There are no windows, but the toupee-like top, and side curtains are included. A custom Ichiban steering wheel sits on a tilt column, while red/black Ractive foot pedals sit below. The 8.1L V10 was the feature of this car and original plans were to use Dodge's V10 truck engine. After proving to be too heavy for the sports car application, Dodge went to Lamborghini to cast an all aluminum block, the net result is a torque monster that catapults the roadster forward at any speed, in any gear. The bright red intake manifold is a work of art all in itself, the near 20 year old design still looks great today when compared to other high end hardware. The chassis looks like a fabricated piece, which it pretty much was, but it came built for combat with an A-arm suspension and massive power disc brakes at all four corners. The mechanicals are virtually bulletproof and have demonstrated over the years that Dodge over-engineered their halo car because they knew drivers would like to use the gas pedal. Power steering gets it around the sharp curves with ease, and 275/40/17 front and 335/35/17 rear Michelin radials wrap optional chrome wheels and put a large footprint on the pavement to get the power down efficiently. Today, the Dodge Viper is still a king of the streets, and few cars have the brass to compete with this marvel head-to-head. It's an iconic piece of American motoring that has secured it's place in the record and history books.
