Up For Sale is a 1997 Dodge Viper GTS with 29,981 original miles. This car is 1 of 1671 produced in 97 and 1 of 965 that came with the signature blue/white color combo. This color combo is extremely sought after as this is the main color combo that Dodge used to advertise the cars. The paint is in good shape and so is the rest of the body. It has a few small flaws, but no dents or damage. ? The interior is black with some blue accents such as the center section of the seat that was just recently refinished. There are a few flaws with the interior but overall, it is still in good shape. It also has a couple of performance upgrades from B&B that include Headers and Exhaust system along with a K&N intake kit. These cars are becoming increasingly harder to find especially with production ending soon on the latest generation and the value of these will continue to rise. American car maker Dodge has confirmed it will stop producing its Viper supercar after 2017 production ends, also celebrating the nameplate’s 25th anniversary. To commemorate the final year of the ‘snake’ and its 25th anniversary, the company has revealed five special editions that also pay tribute to some of the Viper’s most iconic offerings of years past. Since the first Viper launched in 1992, Dodge has built around 30,000 units of the V10-powered supercar at its Mack Avenue (1992-1994) and Corner Avenue (1995-current) assembly plants in Detroit. After reports that Dodge would cease production of the iconic supercar surfaced last year, the company has now confirmed that no Vipers will be manufactured beyond 2017. The current ‘2017’ Dodge Viper is hand-built at the Corner Avenue facility, powered by an all-aluminium 8.4-litre V10 petrol engine that produces 645 horsepower (481kW) and 813Nm of torque – which Dodge claims is the most torque of any naturally-aspirated sports car engine in the world. Each of the five special editions commemorate an iconic Viper variant of the past, also featuring a serialised instrument panel badge. Orders for the limited-edition Vipers commence June 24 and immediately sold out. 2017 Dodge Viper VooDoo II Edition ACR Extreme revives the black and graphite colour scheme of the original 2010 Viper Voodoo special. The Voodoo II Viper is also limited to just 31 units, and features a black exterior with graphite ACR driver’s stripe – that features a red outline – ACR interior with contrasting silver stitching, carbon-ceramic brakes, Voodoo II exterior sill decals. From concept to production, the Viper involved an international effort that resulted in an American sports car which not only defined ‘90s style but also marked a new escalation of the Detroit horsepower wars. This Generation 1 low-mileage V-10-powered roadster is one of fewer than 307 examples painted in Emerald Green, it displays 6342 miles on the odometer and also comes with factory-issue owners manual in its original case. Eight liters of displacement and 10 cylinders resulted in an engine that created 400 horsepower at 4,600 RPM and 480 lb-ft of torque at just 3,600 RPM. The engine is backed by a 6-speed transmission durable enough to deliver the Viper horsepower through the rear wheels and onto the pavement. Every effort was made to shave weight off the Viper, which scaled in at fewer than 3,500 pounds in 1994. With a focus on power and performance, the Viper was equipped with only what was needed to drive it and literally built around the V-10. The front-mid engine layout of the rear-wheel-drive roadster lends the Viper its rakish long hood, sporting cockpit and short rear deck.
