From concept to production, the Viper involved an international effort that resulted in an American sports car which not only defined ‘90s style but also marked a new escalation of the Detroit horsepower wars. This Generation 1 low-mileage V-10-powered roadster is one of fewer than 307 examples painted in Emerald Green, it displays 6342 miles on the odometer and also comes with factory-issue owners manual in its original case. Eight liters of displacement and 10 cylinders resulted in an engine that created 400 horsepower at 4,600 RPM and 480 lb-ft of torque at just 3,600 RPM. The engine is backed by a 6-speed transmission durable enough to deliver the Viper horsepower through the rear wheels and onto the pavement. Every effort was made to shave weight off the Viper, which scaled in at fewer than 3,500 pounds in 1994. With a focus on power and performance, the Viper was equipped with only what was needed to drive it and literally built around the V-10. The front-mid engine layout of the rear-wheel-drive roadster lends the Viper its rakish long hood, sporting cockpit and short rear deck. This first-generation Viper features factory air-conditioning, hand-fastened factory-issue side windows and hard top are included as are clean CarFax and AutoCheck reports. For sale is my 2001 Dodge Viper GTS Red with black leather interiors. Everything works on the car. Cold A/C, Original Alpine stereo with Amplifier and 4 speakers. Rear tires only have 100 miles on them. Front tires have about 90% tread remaining.Car has a clean title, never been in an accident. Engine, body and frame are in perfect condition.Installed a set of rims from a 2008 Dodge Viper. The rims are OEM purchased from another individual, they are not re-manufactured, fake or repaired. They are OEM from Chrysler. Installed a set of slotted and cross drilled rotor with new pads and they only have about 500 miles on them. Practically new brakes.Everything in the car is original. I just painted the front bumper to cover all the small dents from street debris or small rocks. Installed new headlights since the old ones were dull. About a year ago I took the car to a body shop to get the left side sill and door painted to take car of some small dents. I'm crazy about perfect paint I take the car to car shows and it has won some trophies. I only put about 500 miles every year which is the reason for me to sell it. I want to save some money for a down payment for a 5th generation Viper and upgrade. This car attract a lot of attention, people want to take pictures and I get tons of compliments for the paint and general condition as they can not believe is a 2001 car.I keep the car in my garage with the car cover on all the time. I occasionally take it out on Sundays and sometime take it to work on Fridays. It is such a great drive and the big engine noise is intoxicating.The car has high flow catalytic converters I installed about two years ago. It has a high flow Borla exhaust with two straight pipes at the back. There are two mufflers right after the catalytic converter and the cats also help with the sound. I tried several configurations of exhausts but this one is the best sounding one that is not too crazy loud but every one loves.
