1970 RT/SE Dodge Challenger 440 Six Pack 4 Speed This is a beautiful car in every respect. It has undergone a 100% nut & bolt restoration by the previous owner who did an amazing job, It has less than 500 miles of driving since, most of which was just to and from car shows. The car was just shown at the Chicago MCACN Show (Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals) and was chosen by Hot Rod Magazine in thier selection of special cars for thier online event coverage. This car looks as good in person as it does in the photos, it starts at the twist of the key and runs & drives like new. A beautiful show car that you can actually drive! You'd be very hard pressed to find a nicer example, especially for the very reasonable reserve. Think about it, a one of 135 produced and completely restored, 440 Six Pack, 4 speed, RT/SE, a super rare and desirably optioned example, for less money than the cost of the restoration! This car has matching body numbers, engine number, dash VIN tag and Door VIN tag, Hemi 4 speed transmission is a replacement. A full break down of it's original fender tag options is shown in the sales flyer photo, the only added options are the Shaker Hood, 15 x 7 Road Wheels, and power steering. The 1970 Challenger R/T 440 Magnum “U Code” option was an upgrade from the standard 383 motor commonly found in many 1970 RT's. There is no evidence of rust or damage repair to the sheet-metal panels or frame. The "DODGE" hood letters are included but not installed. INTERIOR - The H6XW white interior is perfect condition. Dash pad, door panels, headliner and seat covers were replaced with Year One/Legendary components. Dash gauges were restored and re-colored and look like new. All glass including the windshield is good. The factory installed AC works (blows cool but could likely use a freon charge due to winter storage). The special Challenger upper interior door wood grain insert panels are include but not installed. If you are looking for a time capsule to take you back to 1970, just sit in the driver's seat. ENGINE COMPARTMENT - Engine and all additional components look just like it did back when the car was on the Dodge showroom floor in 1970. CHASSIS - Undercarriage is perfect. Factory simulated undercoating was applied during the restoration process. Exhaust system is perfect. The trunk floor is perfect. The original factory supplied jack assembly and "space saver" spare tire and rim are included. Both jack, rim are in excellent original condition. The tire appears to be original 1970 vintage. NUMBER MATCHING - The engine, transmission and body numbers all match the car's VIN. VALUE - Hemmings Motors News June 2015 issue ("Buyers Guide" article) estimated the value range of a correctly restored detailed 1970 Challenger RT 440 Magnum car at $62,400.
