1967 Thunderbird Landau Vehicle DescriptionYou are viewing a very clean 1967 Thunderbird “Suicide Door” Landau. This car is 95% factory original 428 Ford engine, C-6 transmission and drive-train. The 428 still retains its original Auto-lite 4 barrel carburetor and stock air cleaner. A rare find due to the very low miles and its exceptional original survivor condition. This T-Bird runs great and is amazing to drive. The big 428 has enormous power and acceleration. Sitting in the drivers seat is like being in a time capsule from 1967. Vehicle ConditionMechanically the car starts up and runs great and has lots of power! It floats down the road effortlessly and is a real joy todrive! Odometer displays 45K miles which appears to be original.The interior is all original and in great condition. The seat upholstery, headliner and carpet are all very nice. All gauges and lights work. The vary rare factory AM/FM radio and power antenna works. 3 of the 4 power windows work. The right rear window motor engages but may need a new gear installed. Dash pad and headliner are in great shape. The factory installed AC works (blows cool but could likely use a freon charge. The frame is rock solid, and even some of the factory undercoating is still present. There are no dents or signs of any past accident history. The tail light assemblies including the lenses and all trim pieces were replaced with NOS parts a few years back. Both right and left tail lights are in near mint condition. All 4 original factory “Spinner” wheel-covers are very nice. The bumpers and external chrome trim are all in amazing shape for a car this old – virtually no pitting. All the factory chrome moldings are on the car - no missing trim pieces. This is a rare car in survivor quality condition and would make an exceptional investment that you can also drive and enjoy. Starts right up and all accessories I tried work as they should. Windows,sunroof,locks,wipers, gauges all work. Oil psi is good. Tires/brakes are good. No rust on any panels. Interior is in especially good condition for the age. No bad cracks or rips in seats. non-smoker and car was garaged so no sun damage. Engine revs up fine when sitting still but under load seems to have low power. Only drove the car around our industrial parking lot a few blocks and it drove fine but I did not go over 30 MPH. Car was sitting for a year and our mechanic seems to think the fuel is going bad. Car would need to be trailered or shipped.
