1980 CorvetteA stunningly beautiful car that turnsheads every time I take it for a drive!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zkj772042YISolid, dependable, looks good, sounds good, needs nothingFly in and drive home! This is a super nice 1980 Corvette that has 65,700 original miles since new. The car is never driven in the rain and is stored during the winter months. It has just been serviced I would drive the car anywhere. If you are looking for a Numbers Matching car, you\'ll have to pass on this one it has a new crate engine. Here are the main features:A brand new350 Cubic Inch V8 GM Crate Engine-- installed 2,000 miles agoAllnew belts and hosesHigh performance8mm spark plug wiresTune up, oil change, cooling system flushedThe stock automatictransmission was rebuiltat the same timeThe car has acustom metallic silver(with a touch of Rose) paint jobAll 4 BF Goodrich Radial tires were mounted at the same time the engine %26 transmission work was done.Tires are new, 10 wide on stock 1980 corvette rimsNew brakesall aroundNew exhaust system (Dual Glass Packs) Sounds Very, Very nice!Air conditioning updated uses the newer R134-A Freon(3.75 pounds)Brand new,Custom, wood and chrome steering wheelBrand new, simulated Wood Burl gauge cluster surroundsBrand new,European Air Horn System with quad trumpets and dual compressorsBrand new, custom louvers for the rear window. Without the louvers, the car can soak up quite a lot of sun and heat. With the louvers the car is very comfortable. The louvers are hinged at the top and can be swung up for cleaning the rear windowBrand newbattery cutoff switchBrand newsecurity devicewhich locks the steering wheel to the brake pedalComes with2 custom corvette covers. A heavy duty one ($250) for when the car is parked for longer periods of time, and a lightweight cover ($40) for use when traveling. Both covers are breathable, and do not harm the lustrous finish. The expensive cover comes with it\'s own duffel bag. Also included are a newChiltons shop service manual%26 a very complete, Corvettefactory assembly manualin a 3 ring binder. The headlights pop up %26 down as they should, all lights work, the electric windows go up and down, and the windshield wipers work.2 sets of keys %26 Clear Title in hand.I never got around to installing new T-Top weather seals or new door weather seals. I never drove the car unless it was clear and sunny out, so these things kept getting put to the end of my things to do list. The T-Tops function just fine, however to stop drips when washing the car, I put a bead of clear silicone around the T-Tops. I would just leave the T-Tops on until you get around to replacing the gasket seals so it won\'t drip when washing the car. You wouldn\'t know the silicone bead was there if I didn\'t point it out to you. Two custom carry bags for the T-Tops are included. Also:The inside door pulls are in need of reinforcing. This was pointed out to me when I bought the car, and this item also ended up at the tail end of my to-do list. The doors open and close just fine I just don\'t use the door pulls. I was told that this is a very common problem with these cars and that there is some kind of upgrade kit available from places that specialize in Corvette restorations and repairs. I don\'t feel comfortable messing with the inside of the doors (I don\'t know anything about whatever is in there).I am located in Fairfield, Iowa 52556. The nearest airport is Cedar Rapids. Nearest train station is Ottumwa, and Trailways Bus stops in Fairfield. I can come and get you at any of these three locations. If you would like to fly in and inspect the car, I can come get you at the airport (which is a 3 hour round trip). If you choose to use this option, there is a $50 pre-paid fee via PayPal, which will be deducted from the sale price if you buy the car. Please feel free to email me with any questions,%26 I will try to answer all inquiries as quickly as I can.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zkj772042YII have tried to think of everything I can, to be as informative about the car as possible.
