Silk Nappa leather upholstery is used, and the Recaro sport seats have 12-way power adjustment. Installed options include a navigation system, heated front seats and a 215-watt Bose premium sound system. Audi's 4.2-liter V-8, which is also used in the automaker's larger models, was modified to fit into the S4's compact engine compartment. Developing 340 hp at 7,000 rpm, the V-8 produces 302 pounds-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. A specially tuned exhaust system is installed. A six-speed automatic transmission that features a manual-shift provision is installed. Antilock brakes have front and rear electronic differential locks and electronic brake-force distribution. Standard side curtain airbags cover the entire side-window area. Seat-mounted side-impact airbags for front occupants are standard. Height-adjustable front seat belts have load limiters. For 2007, mounted on top of that long nose is a bulging hood that looks as if the engine jumped off its mounts and bumped into the hood. The wheels are pushed toward the corners to emphasize nimbleness. For 2007, standard wheels are 18 inches in diameter. The 350Z seats two. Considerable aluminum is used in the cockpit. Three gauge pods are installed on the instrument panel, and the steering wheel and gauges move together as a unit. Nissan's 3.5-liter V-6 develops 306 hp and 268 pounds-feet of torque and teams with a six-speed close-ratio manual gearbox. The newfound power is a product of a dual-inlet air-intake system, variable exhaust cam timing and a higher compression ratio. The enhancements allow the 3.5-liter engine to redline at 7,500 rpm, up 500 rpm from last year's manual-equipped model. Antilock brakes with brake assist are standard. Side-impact airbags are standard on this convertible. All models are equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system. We have owner manuals and one key for this car. BMW's two-seater displays a blend of convex and concave surfaces, coupled with deeply sculpted bodysides. The Z4 has more edges, especially at the rear, than its rounded predecessor. For 2006, changes include a larger air dam, new fog lamps and updated taillights. Featuring a 98.2-inch wheelbase relatively long for a roadster the Z4 has short overhangs and a low rearward seating position. The hood is aluminum, and soft-top components are magnesium. Equipped with a heated glass rear window, the top retracts beneath an integrated tonneau cover. Roll bars are located behind the seats, and the A-pillars are reinforced. Other than its two-passenger capacity, the Z4's cockpit is completely different from the Z3's. Controls are well spaced on a distinctive dashboard, and they receive upgraded materials for 2006. BMW's newest pair of inline-six-cylinder engines are available in the Z4, and both displace 3.0 liters. The 3.0i makes 215 horsepower and 185 pounds-feet of torque and teams with a six-speed automatic transmission. Side-impact airbags, knee airbags and antilock brakes are standard. BMW's Dynamic Stability Control electronic stability system offers improved response to brake fade, panic stops, hill starts and wet-weather conditions.
