America On Wheels is a non-profit, educational museum featuring all types of over-the-road transportation. Among the many services they provide the community, America On Wheels hosts school children and young adults, introducing them to the delights of the collector car hobby and encourages them to consider a career path in the world of historic automobile restoration and preservation. America On Wheels is an incredible asset to our area, and RB Collection is proud to present this fantastic Mustang GT/CS for their benefit. *** At the 1967 Los Angeles auto show, a special Shelby known as Lil’Red was shown for the first time. Lil’Red was a GT500 prototype with a notchback coupe body in full Shelby trim, supercharged 428, C-6 automatic and plenty of luxury equipment. While the prototype and its sister car, Green Hornet never reached production (Lil’Red was crushed by the factory while Green Hornet still exists in private hands) the car did was inspire the Southern California district sales manager, Lee Grey, to discuss a special California-only model with Ford boss Lee Iacocca. Grey wanted a special limited production model mainly for the California market, one that would attract buyers who wanted something more than a standard Mustang, but perhaps didn’t want to step up to the expensive Shelby. Iacocca loved the idea and green-lighted the project, enlisted the help of Shelby Automotive and the California Special was born.All of the approximately 4,000 California Specials built were based on the coupe body and were available with all engine and transmission options that could be had on a standard Mustang. ***** RB Collection is very pleased to present this well-documented, low mile 1968 Mustang GT/California Special. It presents in very good restored condition in striking Candy Apple Red (Ford #2008) with black stripes. This 26,000 mile car appears to have been a solid well-kept example from new, with no evidence of prior rust or even a major restoration. The paintwork, in the correct color per the Deluxe Marti Report, is of very good quality with good panel fit and straight, clean reflections. Correct California Special badges, stripes and panels are all in place. Original equipment includes a 289 2V, C4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission, 2.79 Rear Axle, power steering, AM Radio, tinted glass and deluxe seat belts. The car remains in largely correct condition today, with a few upgrades present such as a four barrel carburetor on a Weiland intake manifold. This is a turn-key car that runs strong and drives very well. We recently returned from a 70 mile journey where it performed flawlessly. Wearing a high quality driver-restoration, this Mustang can be thoroughly enjoyed as-is, or easily detailed to factory original standards without having to spend excessive time or money. Honest, usable and attractive, this is a very collectible Mustang that is well suited for driving or casual show. It is not known for sure how many examples of the GT/CS survive today, but it is believed that about 2000 remain, with fewer than 800 in the official GT/CS Registry. This is a CLEAN CARFAX and beautiful Ferrari 360 Modena F1 coupe with 20,000 mile example. All recommended services are up-to-date plus many other detail items have been meticulously tended to. The major servicing was performed by authorized Ferrari/Maserati dealer Wide World Ferrari of Spring Valley, New York. A new clutch was installed by Wide World in 5/2015 at 19,309 miles. The timing belt service (with the addition of cam cover gaskets, rear main seal and a water pump overhaul) was completed in 4/2014 at 18,437 miles, also by Wide World Ferrari; a service which totaled over $13,000. The beautiful Pininfarina-designed aluminum body is finished in Argento Nurburgring paint which is in very good condition. The body is straight, with excellent panel fit all around, and all original glass. A gorgeous black leather interior features optional Daytona-style seats and leather headliner which are in excellent condition.The leather has recently been cleaned and treated and seats are excellent showing virtually no wear on the bolsters. There is no peeling or stickiness on the soft-touch plastics on the console. Embroidered logo floor mats are fitted, though the originals are included in the sale. The leather covered dash is excellent, with no shrinking, cracks or sun damage. All electrical features work as they should and the audio system has been upgraded with a Genuine Ferrari Infotainment System, developed specifically for the 360 and recommended by Ferrari North America. For the purists, the original Becker unit and all of its associated paperwork will be included in the sale. Also included is the original tool kit, all three key fobs (including the red one), windows sticker, original books and manuals in the leather wallet,service records, a spare Genuine Ferrari battery (tested and good) and a custom fitted indoor car cover. With all-aluminum construction and a 400 horsepower 3.6 liter V8, performance is outstanding, with an addictive soundtrack and crisp shifts from the F1 System electro-hydraulic paddle shift gearbox. I have a 1993 Dodge Viper RT/10 for sale. This viper is an excellent example of a first generation model. The car has 13,564 miles on the odometer and I have owned it for 11 years. I purchased the viper as a second owner from Monroe Dodge in Michigan. I installed a new set of Dunlop series tires on it only because originals were dry rotting. The paint is in showroom shiny condition, with no significant scratches or body damage. The interior is in great shape with no rips or tears to the upholstery. It comes with a removable canvas top and removable side curtains to go with it. The engine is in great shape, runs really strong. For those of you who do not know, this car has 425 hp and 450 ft lbs of torque...its a real head turner. The only reason I am selling the car is because I fell into some financial difficulty, otherwise this viper would stay in my possession for many more years to come. This viper does not have air conditioning, that did not start until model year 1994. I did have a buyer for the car, but he jerked me around for over a month over his finances, so I am re listing it. Please only respond if you have the funds to purchase car or can retrieve them rather quickly. I will only accept a certified bank check or fund transfer from your bank account to mine. The only thing the car will need in near future is a battery, I keep it on a battery tender in my garage. Buyer is responsible for shipping, I recommend enclosed trailer as I did when I purchased it.
