RB Collection is very pleased to offer this incredible 1932 Ford “Dearborn Deuce” roadster, built by Downs Manufacturing of Wyoming, Michigan in 2006/2007. Originally commissioned by an RB Collection client, this car was custom built to an extremely high standard in the Downs workshops using the highest quality components and materials available. The fiberglass body is beautifully constructed with outstanding fit and finish, with a specially-built, louvered three-piece steel hood. The gorgeous red-orange paint is a DuPont shade called Red Hot Meltdown, and presents today in virtually flawless condition. Shaved exterior handles are operated via a Dakota Digital 10 function keyless remote system that operates power windows, doors, and the power trunk lid. Breaking from modern practice, this Ford is properly powered by a Ford V8. In this case, a 351W “Blue Oval Intimidator” crate engine, fitted with Vintage Air A/C, Holley 4bbl and March Performance serpentine drive, making a stout 400 horsepower. The block is painted to match the body, and mated to a fully detailed Ford AOD automatic transmission, which feeds power back through a Ford 9” rear with 3.70 gears and disc brakes.Pop open the door using the remote power door opener, and you are greeted to a clean and stylish interior. The seats and door panels are trimmed in very high quality Camel-colored leather and the beautiful tan carpets are bound in matching material and protected by embossed floor mats. Every component used was of the highest quality, and this car has completed just over 840 miles since its completion. Performance is impressive and it drives beautifully. It remains absolutely fresh, tight and ready for enjoyment.***This car was commissioned by a passionate enthusiast who spared no expense on the components or the build quality and it still presents in virtually new condition. The styling combines the proportions and simplicity of a classic Highboy roadster, with period details such as the round Pontiac tail lights, in combination with modern materials and finishes. Such is the quality of this incredible car that is was selected by Ford Motor Company as the promotional car for the 75th Anniversary of the 1932 Ford, where it was driven on the show field by Ford CEO Alan Mulally. It was also featured by Dennis Gage on the “My Classic Car” television show, as well as in Goodguys Magazine. It is an exceptional car that cannot be recreated at this price. The sale of this rare and collectible Mustang will benefit our friends at America On Wheels of Allentown, Pennsylvania. America On Wheels is a non-profit, educational museum featuring all types of over-the-road transportation. Among the many services they provide the community, America On Wheels hosts school children and young adults, introducing them to the delights of the collector car hobby and encourages them to consider a career path in the world of historic automobile restoration and preservation. America On Wheels is an incredible asset to our area, and RB Collection is proud to present this fantastic Mustang GT/CS for their benefit. *** At the 1967 Los Angeles auto show, a special Shelby known as Lil’Red was shown for the first time. Lil’Red was a GT500 prototype with a notchback coupe body in full Shelby trim, supercharged 428, C-6 automatic and plenty of luxury equipment. While the prototype and its sister car, Green Hornet never reached production (Lil’Red was crushed by the factory while Green Hornet still exists in private hands) the car did was inspire the Southern California district sales manager, Lee Grey, to discuss a special California-only model with Ford boss Lee Iacocca. Grey wanted a special limited production model mainly for the California market, one that would attract buyers who wanted something more than a standard Mustang, but perhaps didn’t want to step up to the expensive Shelby. Iacocca loved the idea and green-lighted the project, enlisted the help of Shelby Automotive and the California Special was born. All of the approximately 4,000 California Specials built were based on the coupe body and were available with all engine and transmission options that could be had on a standard Mustang. ***** RB Collection is very pleased to present this well-documented, low mile 1968 Mustang GT/California Special. It presents in very good restored condition in striking Candy Apple Red (Ford #2008) with black stripes. This 26,000 mile car appears to have been a solid well-kept example from new, with no evidence of prior rust or even a major restoration. The paintwork, in the correct color per the Deluxe Marti Report, is of very good quality with good panel fit and straight, clean reflections. Correct California Special badges, stripes and panels are all in place. Original equipment includes a 289 2V, C4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission, 2.79 Rear Axle, power steering, AM Radio, tinted glass and deluxe seat belts. The car remains in largely correct condition today, with a few upgrades present such as a four barrel carburetor on a Weiland intake manifold. This is a turn-key car that runs strong and drives very well. We recently returned from a 70 mile journey where it performed flawlessly. Wearing a high quality driver-restoration, this Mustang can be thoroughly enjoyed as-is, or easily detailed to factory original standards without having to spend excessive time or money. Honest, usable and attractive, this is a very collectible Mustang that is well suited for driving or casual show. It is not known for sure how many examples of the GT/CS survive today, but it is believed that about 2000 remain, with fewer than 800 in the official GT/CS Registry. Sale includes a framed Deluxe Marti Report, a binder of receipts and records, display boards and original period advertising. For sale is an excellent running and driving,3 owner classic. Factory heat and air conditioning, good tires all the way around. I would drive this thing across America without thinking twice! Low miles at only 50k and the way it drives shows. Paint is dead, but is straight all the way around with no dings or anything, and the wood trim is all in good shape. Car is ready to go and just needs a driver, if you have any more questions, please message me and I will be more than happy to answer them, and also can provide a few more pictures if wanted. This handsome 1941 Ford Pickup is a fine example that has been lovingly restored by a passionate enthusiast. The most recent owner purchased it in Colorado in 1982, after finding it on the side of the road in solid but tired shape. He brought the truck to his home in Michigan where he and his son embarked on an extensive body-off restoration. The chassis was fully restored, the original 90 Horsepower “24 stud” Flathead was rebuilt, and the body was professionally prepped and painted in correct Ford Blue over Black fenders. In 1996, it finally emerged from the workshop in show condition. In the following years it won multiple awards, including a prestigious AACA Junior award at the Dearborn Centennial Meet. The purchase and restoration of the truck has been well documented and is presented in a binder, organized by year. Since the restoration, it has been lovingly maintained and still presents in excellent and highly correct condition. After 19 years, the paint remains deep and glossy, a testament to the quality of the prep work. There are a few minor blemishes which can be expected with an older restoration, however it is still quite attractive overall. Panel fit is good and the body has been nicely accessorized with Deluxe fog lamps, deluxe headlight bezels, grille guard, whitewall tires, and oak bed rails. The chrome bumpers, signature “waterfall” grille and bright work are in very good condition, having been professionally replated during the restoration and well cared-for since. The headlight bezels show some minor pitting but are otherwise in good condition. The bench seat is upholstered in the correct green material, and a black dash, rubber mats and correct cab paneling complete the proper look. Original instruments are supplemented with an auxiliary temperature gauge. This truck also has a period heater and add-on turn signals for additional safety. The correct and original flathead V8 was fully rebuilt as part of the restoration and is a strong runner today. It is tidy and correctly finished, showing some signs of moderate use. The chassis and undercarriage are well detailed and properly finished, also showing some signs of regular use but free of rust, damage or excessive leaks. We performed an extensive, in-house 110 point inspection to ensure it is safe and enjoyable on the road. Since being restored, this 41 Ford Pickup has taken on a light but pleasing patina, and remains very attractive. It has clearly been cherished and we are very pleased to offer it to the next keeper who can continue the legacy. We welcome trades of classic and special interest vehicles, so please do not hesitate to contact Geoff Isabelle or Alex Ruozzi at 610-398-9700 with your questions.Sale includes history binder, several period manuals and books.
