I bought this car several years ago from first owner, a lady who kept the car until health condition forced her to sell. Once I drove the car I noticed a problem with the automatic transmission, was slipping a little bit, and I sent it to the automatic transmission shop for repair. I decided to perform a valve job and took the left engine head off, this was done but never installed back in the car because other priorities were arising and the car has been seating for 4 years now. Because I do not have the time now to finish this project I am selling it as is. The following work need to be done on this great car. 1.- Install the engine head (new gasket will go with car) 2.-Passenger ¼ needs body work, as you can see in my photos new sheet metal is needed. Car has ben taken well care of even a new windshield. Front seats have ben changed taken out of a coupe same year- I didn't like getting burnt with leather other than that interior is correct. This car preforms like new with NO issues. Motor and transmission have less than 60K on them. (RARE) Only a little over 3 thousand were produced in 82 this car over time will only gain value. About the 1985 Chrysler LeBaron As a luxury vehicle, the Chrysler LeBaron was a successful, long-running addition to the Chrysler and Imperial lineups. Through the years, multiple LeBaron body styles were available, but the convertible coupe LeBaron is probably the best known. LeBarons were relatively safe, and reached the apex of their popularity through the 1980s and early 1990s. The car was capable of serious power and represented the best in Chrylser styling and luxury, but production ended in 1995 to make way for new Chryslers like the Sebring. The later LeBaron sedans used fairly powerful engines and had fairly decent fuel economy. The 1994 LeBaron sedan, for instance, featured a 3.0-liter 141 horsepower V6 engine and was capable of about 21 mpg in city and 27 mpg on the highway. Sedans seated six and had ample trunk space. Like many Chryslers of the era, they were large cars with high safety ratings. Reliability was average to high depending on the model of the LeBaron. When Imperial became its own brand outside of Chrysler, it introduced the LeBaron in 1957 as a luxury model. Over time, numerous body types and designs were used with the LeBaron; throughout the 1970s and 1980s it became a station wagon, sedan, and an especially popular two-door coupe. They were especially popular racing cars, but the LeBaron was phased out and replaced by other Chrysler models in 1995. The Chrysler LeBaron was assembled in Toluca, Mexico and in Newark, Delaware for its last generations. A large number of trim options were available for LeBarons. In the 1990s, the car was avaiable in a base trim, Landau trim, and LE trim. The LE had a three-speed automatic transmission while other trips featured a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Other differentiations between trim choices included improved interiors and sound systems and the addition of a sunroof. Convertible models were also available throughout the run of later LeBarons. The LeBaron was considered a relatively safe vehicle in head-on collisions, with a four star rating in this area from the NHTSA for its 1994 model. It was also lauded for its luxurious interior and compelling looks, as well as a history of powerful engines and reliable construction. Eventually, however, the Chrysler LeBaron sedan was discontinued, and in its place Chrysler kept a steady stream of similar front-wheel drive sedans such as the Sebring and the New Yorker. Being sold AS IS and as a 'MECHANICS SPECIAL'. BUT LOTS OF POTENTIAL!! If it doesn't sell here it's going to the local crusher. It has not run in four years. I started it once many ears ago and it took some cranking to get it to go. Then it took more and more cranking each time to get it going, until it wouldn't start at all.Was a turbo, 2.2L, turbo which has been REMOVED. Turbo exhaust remains. NO BATTERY INCLUDED.Please, do not contact me telling me what you think is wrong with it. It just doesn't matter to me anymore. It's an extra I no longer want or need or have any interest in. Air conditioner DOES NOT work.DOES NOT start/WILL NOT start. It will crank but will only fire on two cylinders once, then just keeps on cranking. Three Chrysler mechs (one with 40 years experience) have diagnosed it 7 ways from Sunday, and though they were told not to take extreme measures to bring it back to life, they cannot/could not, determine the problem.The pics are 4 years old. But the only changes in those 4 years are issues with the theclear coat, that has peeled off the tops of all four fenders and the third brake lighthousing. The plastic bumper covers have also sun faded down to the black plastic, inspots. The grill's in excellent condition.Maybe you can get it to run or better yet, part it out. The body's in EXCELLENT condition. No body damage whatsoever, unless you count the little bit of rust shown in the one pic, and the fact the driver's front floorboard is BEGINNING to open up from rust. There is an aluminum repair panel I made for that purpose, in the trunk.It has a new fuel pump, new fuel tank inlet grommet. Replaced many years ago, but very little use on the them was, the starter ring gear, the alternator and the starter, one hydraulic cylinder for the top, and the rear seat speakers. New pickup coil and dist. cap, ASD relay, a REBUILT COMPUTER, that works, but DID NOT help to start the engine.Two original 1988 shop manuals come with the car. Electrical fuel & emissions and wiring diagram. See the pics. The original spare tire, original jack, and the 'vert boot is included. PLUS a car cover.The interior's in excellent condition, just like the body. STUDY the pictures.It has a Bloupunkt stereo with removable face. There is a pullout cup holder below theradio.The vinyl top is SHOT!! It was in SD most of it's life and the hot sun shrunk the vinyl so bad and so tight it's no longer water proof. It no longer meets the edges, and snow and rain get in over the two windows. The top should not be put down unless it's at least 72 above because the vinyl is shrunk so tight two people are needed to put it up and close it, plus someone working the electrical switch.Everything electrical works, including all four windows and the diagnostic center on the dahsboard. The headlight motor runs but does not close the headlight doors. The top motor works.There is a pressure release valve for the top hydraulics in the trunk, so the top can be put up or down manually.Tires are in fair shape but have not been on the road in four years and are badly 'weather checked', but haven't lost a pound of air in all the time it's been sitting.If questions call my cell, 1-701-235-4698.
