For sale is a strong running towing & family hauling machine. I have had to cash out of a couple of higher priced luxury trucks, and with this one I went too far towards brawn from my urban cushy trucks. I had a 2008 Yukon Denali XL I owned outright and sold to try and free up some cash to pay some family bills. I used some funds from that sale to purchase this truck. However the wife won't drive this, and hates the exhaust. So we're buying back into a less beastly third row truck that she's more comfortable in. I bought this truck trying to see the diamond in the rough. It had TONS of cosmetic issues- too many to list. In the last few months, I've addressed virtually all of the mechanical & cosmetic issues that were within reason... Here's a partial list:- remove bad window tint job & have new, quality window tint installed.- change out filthy carpeting & floor mats with new carpet & floormats- Change out rusty generic chrome step/nerf bars with new lifetime warranty black powdercoat Westin step bars- All new 10 ply (proper for a 3/4 ton) Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires from Dobbs- Replaced partially defective dash cluster with refurbished unit & had mileage properly programmed in- FULLY cleaned almost every surface of the interior to make is as clean as possible. Even replaced several parts that were just too dirty or broken. Apart from the wear on the driver's seat, this truck is CLEAN on the inside!!!- Replaced crazy 1+ ton rear leaf spring set with new, proper 3/4 ton set made by St. Louis spring Company. New shackles, bolts & bushings. Rides WONDERFUL now...- Replaced rear brakes when doing the springs.- Replaced right front wheel bearings- Replaced ratty trailer wiring at rear plug with a good condition used pigtail that is soldered & marine heat shrinked. Trailer lights & electric brakes now work perfect.- Replaced cloudy & leaky front headlight, parking & fog light lenses with new aftermarket units & all new light bulbs.- Total tranny fluid flush. All other recommended fluids flushed and/or changed. I'm sure there is more I've done that I'm not thinking of. This is a very solid, strong and smooth running truck. I honestly wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck across the country. It has the towing-desired 8.1L (that 496 cubic inches!!) big-block with a 4L60E transmission with 4:11 rear end gears. Shifts smooth and strong, with or without a trailer. 2WD/4WD all work perfect. The previous owner installed a full Magnaflow exhaust... sounds great to me, wife & kids aren't too fond of it. Window sticker & manual are still in the glove box- this was a $50,000+ cowboy Cadillac when new. All leather interior & includes 3rd row seat. Heated seats work great. Great sounding Bose system with the console mounted sub with AM/FM/XM/6 disc CD (though I've never tested the CD). OnStar controls. All power windows & locks work. 2 sets of original keys with working keyfobs. Vehicle does not have rust issues- it was bought new in Alabama, and lived in Alabama & Florida until 2012, when it came to St. Louis. I have an AutoCheck report I'd be happy to send as well- shows no reported accidents, title issues, etc. The truck does have it's issues... This truck does have an abundance of small scuffs & scratches. There has also been some questionable body work around the driver's door handle & the rear lower quarters (where it appears someone crunched it). The dashboard has some peeling of the dye (no cracks, though). The driver's seat has holes worn in the base of the seat from sliding in and out as well as on the back of the seat. You can see these spots in the photos; I did NOT hide them with cheap seat covers! The driver's seat rear tilt motor isn't working; the front tilt and all other motors in this seat work. The mirror controls are touchy to switch between telescoping & adjusting the mirrors (though they do work fine). This truck also has the auto-ride, but the sensor linkages are messed up, and it shows "service ride control" in the instrument cluster. After I fixed the rear spring issue & had such a drastic improvement in ride quality, I didn't feel any need to mes with it any further. My mechanic seems to think it would be fine if the sensors were made right. Regardless, I've priced the truck accordingly based on these items, the mileage, and the few interior defects. It's priced right about "average trade-in"on NADA, which makes it over $4,000 below retail even considering mileage. Not desperate to sell, so please make a reasonable offer. I have free and clear title in my name in-hand and ready to go.
