For 1969 the Chevy II nameplate was retired, leaving the Nova nameplate The 1970 Nova was basically a carryover from 1969. The side marker and taillight lenses for the 1970 Nova were wider and positioned slightly differently. The car finally became simply the Chevrolet Nova this year after two years of transitional nameplates. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome 3rd generation and rarely seen 1970 Chevrolet Nova . This is the true classic Chevy enthusiast’s car! Finished in a dramatic two tone color scheme, the deep rich Maroon and light gold metallic paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers show nicely and with the body trim, compliment the exterior. Inside, the gold and maroon theme is continued on the vinyl front bucket seats and rear bench seat and all look great with only slight signs of wear visible. The door panels and dashboard also match the exterior theme of the car and look fantastic. Carpet and headliner add to the period feel created by the rest of the interior. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. This nicely presented Nova features a Weiand 350 V8 engine Holley 4 barrel carburetor mounted on a Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock valve covers, aftermarket headers and performance exhaust, power steering, 4 speed automatic provides smooth everyday driving, but with the Hurst Pro-matic 2 shifter it’s ready for the track at any given moment! Car is also equipped with iEquus Performance temperature, voltage and oil gauges. The polished 17 inch American Racing alloy wheels wrapped in staggered Fuzion Z rated tires create a very serious street racer stance and ground clearance. This extremely good looking and well equipped Nova will delight even the most discerning early Chevrolet collector or enthusiast. These Novas are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well kept condition. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Current mileage on the odometer shows 87,276, it is sold as is and is mileage exempt. The car is being sold on a clean & clear Missouri title. It was an exercise in building a clean and simple car with a killer suspension and serious power plant. It's immaculate from top to bottom, with a power-to-weight ratio that is pretty legitimate.  The motor is a Dart 427 small block with RHS aluminum heads, flat top pistons, Edelbrock performer intake, a custom built Holley carb, and Eagle rotating assembly. The engine exhales through a set of Super Comp headers and a custom built exhaust with a signature rumble. The powerplant is cooled via an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and pushing the coolant is a Meziere electric pump. The engine compartment is a sterile thing of beauty. All the wiring is tucked away and the plumbing is clean. If you let the engine rip, its the car turns into a tire burning monster but cruising at a comfortable pace is not an issue either. The rear end is a Ford 9" with 4.11 gears, and the transmission is a built up Turbo 400.  The interior is very simple, clean and like the rest of the car, has a brand new wiring harness. The dash boasts Autometer gauges in a custom housing and the seats are low backed units out of a 1967 Chevelle. All of the soft parts are new and so are any hard parts. The exterior is comprised of a base/clear paint job, accurate body lines and gaps and restored trim and chrome. Both the hood and trunk use billet hinges with gas shocks which only further drive home the clean nature of the build.  Original suspensions leave a bit to be desired but this Nova takes care of that problem from the get go. The Nova sports a Heidts Superide II front subframe which is a handling masterpiece. Utilizing tubular control arms, billet coil over shocks with polished springs, a rack and pinion steering unit and dropped spindles, this setup really rocks. The geometry is significantly improved over a stock car, adjustability options are numerous and the resulting handling and ride are sweet. In the rear of the car sits the Heidts 4-Link kit set up mated to the Ford 9" rear end, and billet shocks. On all 4 corners, the Nova is equipped with Wilwood 11" rotors with Wilwood 4-piston calipers which are powered by a Wilwood master cylinder. The wheels are American Racing Salt Flat 16" with modern radials for a much improved ride.  So many custom cars try to do too many things at once producing a confusing design language and easily dated look. This purposefully clean Nova is tight, timeless, and fast as hell. It was a feature car in the Super Chevy "Nova Annual" edition which highlighted its awesome performance and quality build characteristics.  The motor is a wicked 406 small block with a Gallies crank, Howards Rods, SRP pistons and a Comp Cam. Managing the fuel and air is a Barry Grant 850 Demon carb and providing a wicked spark is an MSD distributor and 6AL box. The motor exhales through a set of Sanderson exhaust manifolds and a custom-built 3-inch exhaust with Dynomax mufflers. Cooling down the motor is a trick Be Cool Radiator with Dual fans as well as a Be Cool oil cooler. The Chevy puts out nearly 500 HP and is very responsive. It's also a rocket out of the hole and a ton ton of fun to cruise! The body on the Nova is a wonderfully straight and was stripped down to bare metal before it received its new base/clear paint job. The paint has been freed from the bonds of orange peel via a thorough wetsanding and then polished to perfection. The chrome is new and the trim is polished out and the original stainless the fits as it should. The Chevy II has all OEM panels with the exception of the cowl hood and is has excellent panel fitment.  The transmission is a 700 R4 with 3 forward gears and an overdrive gear. It might seem tame, but the 2,800 stall helps launch the car pretty aggressively.  The rear end is a trick Ford 9" with Trac-Lock 3.50 gears, and Strange 31 Spline axles. The grip off the line is just right and the car track nice and even while laying down the rubber.  The rear suspension consists of Global West multi-spring set up with a 3" drop combined with calipers and rotors from Strange. The front suspension is a Fat Man independent front suspension. With the Fat Man set up, the Nova gained disc brakes, power rack and pinion and an adjustable coil over setup that handles so much better than the factory Nova stuff ever did.  If you are looking for a mean cruiser that has the ability to get downright wicked, this little Nova is big on power and handles like a charm.  Engine: SBC 400/406 11:1 compression Gallies Comp.
