THIS CAR HAS ORIGINAL CORRECT FACTORY T- SHIFTER AND CONSOLE THIS INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS IT WAS JUST REPLACED A COUPLE OF SEASONS AGO. THE MOTOR IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR BUT HAS HAD SOME MODS-ELDERBROCK HI RISE AND 4 BARRELL CARB. NEW DUAL CHERRY BOMB EXHAUST-SOUNDS NICE!! ALL THE LINES/ GAPS ARE FACTORY CORRECT OR BETTER....TALK ABOUT LASER STRAIGHT-WOW! COME AND SEE IT ON THE LIFT FOR YOURSELF! THE FLOOR PANS ARE AS GOOD AS NEW. NO PATCHES OR BUTCHER WORK ON THIS 64 BEING A SOUTHERN CAR ALL IT'S LIFE! THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED WITH 3 OTHERS FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION IN SOUTH CAROLINA. THE GENTLEMAN HAD OVER 36 MALIBUS /CHEVELLES/ EL CAMINOS.... I FEEL WE GOT THE BEST OF THE BUNCH! THIS IS GREAT FOR CRUISIN AND GOING TO YOUR LOCAL CAR SHOWS. HAS THE CORRECT RALLY RIMS AND COAKER REDLINE TIRES. According to Hagerty: An SS option was immediately available, as was a new Chevrolet Division sourced four speed floor shift. Initial descriptions of the Malibu did not include the 327 V8 option which magically appeared before the end of 1964, boosting maximum power to 300 hp. Curved side glass and crisp styling combined with sparkling small block V8 performance helped give these cars a nice send-off, and given the fact that compact sales had started to wane during 1963, these cars proved to be perfectly timed to capture the mood of America, which was once again moving towards somewhat larger, sportier and more powerful cars.
