We were selling a 64 Ford Galaxy and the buyer asked if we would take his El Camino as partial payment. We are not car dealers, but the El Camino looked cool and seemed to run good, so we decided to do it. We have had it for a couple years and had a lot of fun with it. But now it is time to sell it and put the money into another project. It is a great truck and runs like a champ. Goes down the road straight and true. We have done a lot to the car over the last 2 years to assure it is in very good running condition. Please read the details below and don't be afraid to ask question. Suspension:The front end was pretty loose when we got it, so we completely went through the suspension including bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, an alignment and brakes. Basically if it needed attention, we had it fixed. Engine:The engine is a 383 Stroker ZZ4 Crate motor. It wasn't running like it was supposed to and it has an oil leak. So we invested a few more $$ as the story goes. We had the engine pulled, tore done. Once inside, we could see there are little to no miles on this engine. So we cleaned everything up, put a set of quality gasket on it and tossed the stamped cheap valve covers and replaced them with some nice aluminum ones. The running issue was basically the carb, so we tossed that too and installed a New Edelbrock. We set the timing correctly and now it purse a kitten at idle and roars like lion when you put your foot into it. Now this car sounds awesome, doesn't leak anymore and drives like it was meant to. We are not much for fast cars, but this machine rocks and roll if you know what I mean. It also has an aftermarket floor shifter installed too. Wheels and Tires: It has American Racing Rims on it with 235/65R/16 tires in the rear (70% tread). The fronts tires are 225/50R/16 (60% tread) Body:I am an old bodyman, so I am pretty picky, but I will say the car looks awesome with its two tone base - clear finish. I did notice when it was on the hoist that a little detail work could have been done better on the bottom. It is very clean and no rust issues, but just not fully detailed. I posted underside photos and you can make your own assessment, but I didn't see anything that was alarming to me. As you can see, it is very clean. Not the usual rusty vehicles you see in this part of the country. It has a very nice finish on it with a Cowl Induction Hood. The bottom of the doors have had the seams filled and smoothed showing someone was putting in a little extra effort to make this car look nice. Again, the car is very clean as far as rust and much cleaner than the vehicles usually found in the Midwest. There are 4 stickers on the outside of the car and I wanted to take them off, but decided not to. On top of both doors forward section there is a "Harley Davidson" sticker and I actually like the way they look. On the bottom of both fenders there is a "One Nation Under God" sticker too. Of course if you don't like them, you can take them off once you have the car. Interior: It has a really nice interior. Check the photos and you will see that the seats, dash and door panels are really nice. Full instrumentation with custom gauges and a really nice floor shifter. Due to the custom gauges, the true mileage is unknown, but with the Crate Engine, it is pretty much like starting over. We listed it at 1,000 miles, but really feel the engine probably has less than 500 on it. It was like new when we opened it up. No wear, no metal or metal shavings in the pan. Just a super clean engine that needed a quality gasket set. Couple items to disclose:The speedometer is about 18mph off. I believe this is due to the custom gauges and just needs to be calibrated, but that is one thing I haven't looked into yet. The rear differential has a small spot of wetness, nothing that is hitting the ground, so I don't think it is anything to worry about. If it was, we would have fixed it. Again, I am pretty picky, so want to disclose all I am aware of. All funds must clear my bank before the vehicle is picked up. You will find me easy to work with and I will help you make this a smooth easy transaction. Thanks for looking, like I said please ask any questions and I will answer the best I can. Happy Bidding Folks. It's a really nice ride with lots of good work done to it. You will enjoy this truck!!!

Please see below for HD video of this vehicle as well a photobucket link to hundreds of pictures. As presented by The Bearded Pickers of Wabasha, representing the current owner, we give to you: With thousands of dollars in receipts on this modified SS, as well as it's known history, this vintage Chevy, complete with original build sheet, has everything an El Camino could have to offer. A 1977 true SS, this ride has been beautifully restored & performance modified over several years in the late 1990's. Paul, the current owner of the car, sold this new to Pat at Yarolimek Motors, Wabasha, MN. back in September of 1976. Pat had traded in a 1975 El Camino. A few years later the dealership became Paul Busch Auto Center. Paul, a personal friend of Pat's, bought the vehicle back after Pat's passing in the early 2000's. The car originally was on the showroom floor back in '76, in the same exact spot that it is now in the photos. The vehicle has been in town its entire life. In the mid 1990's Pat began a very extensive restoration/modification process. We have lots of paperwork for it documenting the car at each stage of its life such as the build sheet, inspection sheet, invoice, manual, & a huge stack totaling thousands of dollars in receipts. Way too much to list, some of the many many upgrades include a new GM crate 300 HP 350 CID engine. The new engine was ordered in or around '96 by Al, the same guy who signed the inspection sheet back in '76, amazing, he still works there today and remembers the car. Virtually every component in the engine bay and underneath the car is new or rebuilt. We believe the car had around 100,000 miles on it at the time of the restoration. The custom Auto Meter gauges reveal the current odometer reading of 5,940 miles. It has all brand new front suspension. New control arms and bushings. Gabriel HiJackers air adjustable on the rear. Has lots of chrome under the hood. Has braided lines throughout and underneath. Has stall converter. Has headers with flowmaster exhaust that sounds perfect. Has a rebuilt for high performance 3:08 rear-end with posi done professionally by Corvette specialists. All brand new brake system. Original wheels with Goodyear Eagle ST tires that are moderate. Bucket seats, seat belts, and carpet are from a 1992 chevy shortbox pickup in excellent condition. That pickup was also Pat's. It was lowered and performance modified. He hit a deer and totaled it. He bought it back from the insurance company for the parts. It was a show-truck in it's own right, and he wanted a part of that truck to go toward this new build he was about to take on. Pat was a gear-head and hotrod guy through and through. His heart and passion shows in his work. Car has B & M shift kit. Aftermarket power windows. The power door lock system is new in the box and not installed. Dash is painted grey and has a Pioneer cassette player with Blaupunkt speakers. The cubby hole behind the seat was not integrated into the new interior but does come with the car. Comes with an Edelbrock exhaust reader that plugs into the header underneath. This car operates and performs perfectly in every way. Has new chrome around the grill and new headlight bezels, the originals come with the car as well. The bed has some dents and a spot of rust toward the back. The tailgate is nice and works perfect. Body has a scratch and dent behind the right wheel. Also has some scratches on the right rear fender and a couple of other small areas. Has some rust behind the left rear wheel and a little at the bottom of the doors. Steering wheel is original. Glass is perfect. Battery is a brand new AC Delco installed on 10-10-14. Has original spare with cover. Has a new in the box OEM SS decal kit. Comes with an excellent condition vintage Paul Busch Auto Center jacket, men's large. Has full wiring diagram. Has all the fancy stickers that come with performance parts from summit racing and the like. Modern performance with a vintage look. Looks as it should, performs like it wants. You can almost consider this a one owner car as Paul sold ( & signed the original invoice) to Pat. After Pat's passing, the vehicle was left to his son. His son soon after sold it to Paul. The car has since been driven around town a couple of times a year, just enough to keep everything fresh.
