1987 Chevrolet El Camino Base Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door 5.0L. I purchased this at an Estate Sale of a friend. He was 80 years old. He owned this car at least the last 15 years. I don't think the mileage is accurate, but this is what the paper work stated. The best thing about this car is how solid it is. I put a headliner and new carpet in. I took a picture of the floor with no carpet in the car to show how clean it is. Dash was cracked and is covered with carpet. Car has its share of dings and scratches. But still looks good. Has a bed liner, Took pictures of bed with liner out. It looks good. Air conditioning blows cool, but could be colder. I am not going to mess with this (R12). Catilytic converter has been removed, therefore it displays a check engine light. Runs and drives decent. Power windows, locks, tilt, cruise. Has a Sony CD player. Previous owner made the wood console lid. I left it that way. I knew he was really proud of his handy work. As far as the downside... Car has a frost plug seeping on back of engine. Needs rod from vacuum canister to carb. for cruise control. Drivers mirror glass is glued in place. Serious buyers are welcome to come and look at the car located in OH. As I said before this car is extremely solid. Would make a great builder or driver. They don't make these anymore. Has many possibilities. Selling as is. Adult female owned and operated. Here is a very solid restoration , frame and underbelly undercoated by previous owner/s. clear Ohio title on hand... solid body. runs and drives. many new parts. 110k , 305 V8 with an automatic transmission. shifter is on column. power windows and door locks, AC, am/fm/cassette. 2 tone black and silver, silver interior bucket seats, extra bench seat and wirehub caps come with it... no noises knocking ticking no smoking or burning of oil. purrs like a kitty. Runs strong and smooth on the highway. I have the carpet behind the seats unsnapped to show the spare tire is in there.. All new parts listed below NEW PARTS: * brand new headliner material * good tires , wheels were changed to whats on it now * new exhaust from the cat back * replacement gas tank was put on used but good ..original one had a hole in it * replacement radiator was put in used but good.. original one was bad * brakes checked out good * new heavy duty shocks with springs put all the way around * plugs wires cap and rotor * oil was changed * high flow fan blade from summit racing * all belts replaced NEEDS: * carpet cleaned or replaced * carb cleaned its not real bad but when you first start it is when you notice it.. once its warmed up it glides down the highway * body work mainly sanded and painted 99 percent is on the passenger side, mostly surface rust if one spot on the passenger door was sanded you might get some pinholes but that would be the extent of that. a couple spots like in the picture the tip of a fender needs some TLC. inside rockers and outside are SOLID!! floorboards and undercarriage are SOLID! FRAME IS SOLID!! bed is SOLID! * AC has a leak. we put some coolant in last night and it leaked out by this morning but the compressor came on fine and it blew out cold till it leaked out. El Camino is located in AKRON OHIO. I wouldnt hesitate to drive this anywhere. fly in to CAK and we can drop it off for you to drive back.. trailer it or have a company come and get it for you. we will assist with the paper work. Buyer is responsible for setting up the shipping. This is a 1980 El Camino in poor condition. It runs though, and it would be an excellent project car or source of parts. It is rusted at several places along the body, but has the original wheel center caps, rims and beauty rims (one beauty rim in bad condition). It has had two owners total, both nonsmokers. The windshield was replaced about five years ago and has a built-in antenna. The radio is the original pushbutton am/fm. The car has air conditioning. The bed of the pickup is solid, with a liner and tarp in good condition. The door locks are operational with key. The engine has new plugs, wires, distributor cap, good battery and radiator. Some of the instrument panel bulbs need replaced. NOTE:Existing crossover member is completely rusted out and frame is in poor condition. A used crossover membrane in good condition is available at an additional cost. The buyer will need to pick up the car Car has a clear title
