We also peruse newspapers everywhere we go. Its not at all unusual to drive hours out of our way, to look at 1 car. Sometimes, that drive is really worth it. Small auctions also get our attention. You have to look at a lot of cars, in order to buy even a few. Thats a lot of crawling in & under. But thats ok. Were fussy – because our customers expect it of us. They rely on that. Many of our clients are repeat buyers. They already are lucky enough to have 1 or more "toys" purchased from us. Sometimes they want to add to their collection, sometimes they just want a different one to play with, so they want to trade. Whatever, their reason, weve got the answer. Weve got the stock. You can drive ours right off the floor & enjoy a day in the sun or take them to a car show, with pride. Lots of our cars have won trophies for their new owners. Of course, we get walk-in sellers. Someone has a car they have grown tired of, or perhaps they inherited a car they really dont want. Perhaps they just need the money. If thats a special car - if its been lovingly cared for, and is either a corvette, a muscle car, a hot rod, a classic, a foreign, or an antique auto - be it convertible, t-top, hard top, coupe or roadster...were interested. Our customers come from all walks of life and all parts of the world. Sometimes, a new owner cant physically come to inspect a particular car. Thats ok, well walk around it & describe it to them, over the telephone - so long as we speak their language. We have a reputation for giving honest information over the phone, when describing our beauties. We do have some customers that leave disappointed....sometimes a customer wants a fixer-upper". Sorry, we simply dont carry those. We dont have those "Winter Projects". The closest we can come, is a gorgeous, drivable, almost flawless car that someone wants to make into a totally flawless show stopper. It will never be allowed to get dusty - not even the engine. Those buyers will feel like theyre in a candy store. Our cars may not be of that quality, but they have won trophies. It is our top priority as former collectors ourselves, to describe all of our vehicles accurately, to the best of our ability. Even though we scrutinize each car before we buy it, we resell cars, we do not restore or warranty them. Therefore we cannot guarantee any of the claims made by previous owners, their agents, or consigners. This is a very nice 86 Corvette that I recently got on a trade. I'm told the miles are correct >23,000< The car runs and drives great and has new seat leather and cushions installed as well as a new top, mostly just due to the age of the car(they really weren't that bad but just wanted to make the car all it could be). The car also has an aftermarket exhaust(nearly new) that probably improves performance, and offers a little more rumble than stock(just a little)...... I would say the paint on the car is a 9+ unbelievable for it's age. It has the polished wheels and of course the correct Pace Car decals in place. An aftermarket new style radio(removable face, and remote control) was added sometime prior to me getting the car. Now for the last detail about the car...it looks crispy new, but does have an Iowa prior salvage title. Meaning the car had a little incident at one time and went thru an inspection process and passed that inspection, and is just like transferring any title. The story I got was that the car was a theft recovery quite a few years ago-you couldn't tell by looking anywhere. And with that said I am pricing the car reasonable and open to offers(reasonable I hope). I have two sets of original keys, an owners manual, and the car even has original floor mats.........There is no warranty offered with the car(I'm not a dealer)..........and the transporting of the car if the buyer chooses to transport will be at the buyers expense. I will be glad to show the car with notice, and answer all questions to the best of my ability. I'm a car guy-have been all my life, and will always be-thanks for viewing my auction.. **** A local buyer failed to get financed leading to me listing the car again-please have your finances in place when you bid=thanks!!***A new air cond. compressor was just installed and changed over to 134A Freon-ice cold now(compressor clutch was rattling) ********* My GF just reminded me that the rear view mirrors have some clear coat peeling..sorry I had forgotten that..........
