I'm selling my 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT. I bought it as a reconstructed title from a certified mechanic that fixes / rebuilds cars. Air bags were reset and numerous safety inspections were performed. I've owned it since it had 11,000 miles on it and now it currently has 90,000 miles. Ran great and never had any problems with it other than the recall issues and ECM/PCM which was replaced (Ignition switch, Power Steering, and ECM and PCM replaced). Had a recent oil pan leak and only drove 5 miles on it since I did not have an immediate area to pull over. Car was running perfect before leak and used it as a daily driver. Had a mechanic take a look at it for a few days. The engine DID NOT seize and they were able to patch it up and it is still running. While driving, once it reaches about 3000 rpm you will notice a little engine knock so it will need some work. Instead of putting the money in to fix it, I decided to sell it. - Ignition switch and power steering motor replaced as per recalls in 3/2014 - ECM and PCM (computer) replaced 7/2015 - Starter motor and battery were replaced 10/2014 - Regularly maintained with oil changes every 3500 miles - Tires in great shape - Heater and AC work great - Body looks in great condition on exterior and interior - Performance air intake gives it a noticeable throttle gain - Has aftermarket exhaust installed - Additional features: - ABS with traction control - Power mirrors / windows / locks - Power sun roof - CD player / radio - Rear spoiler I’m asking $2300 OBO. The back seats are removable, and the open trunk extends into the back seat area giving a 6' x 4' area for my tools. I placed a piece of Plywood over the back seats to flaten the floor space and protect the back seats. It works perfect. The vehicle is very economical on gas and runs great. The reason I am selling it is because I have too many vehicles and I am trying to scale down our overhead. I purchased this vehicle from a local mechanic who does great work. He rebuilt the vehicle and it has run great and I have had no problems with it. There was a factory recall on the vehicle for an ignition problem. I had never had a problem with the ignition, but did take it to a local Chevy dealer and had the recall work done. I replaced the batery with a new battery, and the vehicle has new tires. The car is clean and there is no rust around the doors or any other area where you would expect body rust. I have another vehicle for sale, and probably keep whichever one does not sell for my service business. We have meticulously maintained this car and it was Garage kept over the winter in a heated garage. Had to keep my tools and glues in a heated garage so I would be ready to do my service calls. I am the original and only owner of this vehicle. I kept up with all maintenance, oil changes and rotations. Car runs great and everything still works well. Muffler and battery just replaced and currently has a PA inspection good until 04/2016. Lots of nice features. Would be a great starter vehicle for a newly licensed driver as the safety features will assist them to remain safe. There is absolutely no unresolved maintenance issues.
