This project was brought to us to tighten up a few things, after going over the car we found out that it was not built right so we did a complete tear down to metal and rebuilt the car. This is a full on beast Pro Touring car with a built GM Performance LS-3 Supercharged engine and Tremec 6 speed. Everything on this car has been gone over stripped and rebuilt. We took the body off and fixed the frame and made it right and then powder coated it, media blasted the body and fixed all the rust with new panels, after months of metal and body work we now have what you see here. The car is equipped with billet radiator, power steering, coil over suspension, Hydro boost, disc brakes, vintage air AC unit, billet vents, custom Autometer gauges, leather interior with a custom rear seat to match from Recaro seats, GM-LS-3 Magnuson supercharged engine, GM Computer system, custom drive line, new wire system, Tremec 6 speed tranny, custom Forgline line 3 piece wheels all black with Michelin 345/30/19 in the rear so this car will go. This car is about 4 weeks from being finished and we have just about everything to finish the car, here is what it needs to be completely finished. Engine-1968 CE 396 engine with TRW pistons 10.25:1 compression, Comp 520 lift cam, Seal Pro rings, Clevite bearings, Delphi lifters, 781 heads with new valve job and triple springs, stock high rise manifold with new Holley 750 cfm carb with electric choke, Cloyes timing set, HEI distributor, stock exhaust manifolds, and a Felpro gasket set. Transmission-Original Muncie 4 speed with original linkage. Completely rebuilt with Muncie parts. L78 clutch and flywheel. Suspension and Brakes-Sandblasted a-arms, New front suspension including tie rods, ball joints, power disc brakes on front, rotors and lines, new bushings, new master cylinder, springs all the way around, new shocks, new drums on rear and shoes including all hard hardware, springs, new rear lines and front to rear lines. Misc.-New gas tank and sending unit, new 3/8” fuel line, new 4 row aluminum radiator, new exhaust system, new battery, new emergency brake, new engine wiring harness, front and rear light harness, front to rear harness, Camaro close ratio power steering box, new heater core, generator and power steering pump. I have been saving this body for a long time, due to the rare color combo and unusual cloth bench seat (SS was standard vinyl).Gobi Beige body,black vinyl top, black interior,black stripes.Was Not an LS6 or L78,has return line. Its a real 1970 SS, no trim holes under the quarter windows and has the L code which many Chevelle collectors believe the Kansas cars to be. Took out the back section as whole to replace divider and speaker tray that someone cut out to make the car lighter. Along with a little rust in the trunk from shag carpet. Only rust is a little in rear right toe boards. Rest is super rust free. It looks to have been raced in the past, right quarter was hit and left front frame spring pocket was welded up after cracked. Frame has some waves on the bottom center rails, we had a lot of dirt roads back then. It will need work but is the original frame, no vin but does have the correct date and part number. Have doors, both needs skin from damage,not rust, trunk lid, Harrison 3 core radiatorW/large 4 core tank,all the heater parts, bench seat, back seat. If you come for the car, then you can go thru and round up any hardware you need. I do have access to the 70 parts car I was going to use for the trunk pan,tail panel along with back seat divider, speaker tray and tulip panel as one piece-its an extra $500.00. It is in El Paso and my friend is waiting on some space to open up here to bring it. If you are the winning bidder, half deposit and 2 weeks time to bring it out. I wanted to keep the body original and have spent much time looking for the quarters and fenders. I am sure someone could either rebody the car with a new shell or buy new repop parts and finish it that way. I only have a bill of sale,had to select Clear as my only close option, I checked with MVD and its clean vin, just out of the system. I have the Arizona license plate last tagged in 1982 somewhere. I have many photos that I can email. The car will be very rare if built as the data tag shows and being a heater car, you can clone it up to an LS6.
