For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette 454. In 1970 the C3 Corvette underwent a few changes body wise such as wider wheel contours, egg crate grille and side vents, and a change in exhaust separated it from its predecessor. This 1972 comes to us bathed in a gorgeous red paint scheme and is the last year for the dual chrome bumpers that would be phased out in 73 to compensate for tightening DOT standards. Outfitted with a great set of custom wheels, these large diameter polished beauties give a clear view to the recently rebuilt 4 wheel disc brake system that comes in handy when trying to reign this beast in. Under the hood is a nicely equipped 454CID V8 that was recently rebuilt and tuned. Putting all that torque and power to the ground is a rebuilt 4 speed manual for all of the fun of rowing your own. This vette is not just a head turner but a great cruiser as well, equipped with A/C, power steering, power brakes, and AM/FM radio, this stingray is just as much fun to drive as it is to look at. Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer a 1964 Corvette Stingray Coupe. The 1964 Chevrolet made only evolutionary changes to the Corvette. Besides the coupe\'s backbone window, the two simulated air intakes were eliminated from the hood, though their indentations remained. Also, the decorative air-exhaust vent on the coupe\'s rear pillar was made functional, but only on the left side. The car\'s rocker-panel trim lost some of its ribs and gained black paint between those ribs that remained; wheel covers were simplified; and the fuel filler/deck emblem gained concentric circles around its crossed-flags insignia. Inside, the original color-keyed steering wheel rim was now done in simulated walnut. A few suspension refinements were made for 1964. The front coil springs were changed from constant-rate to progressive or variable-rate and were more tightly wound at the top, while leaf thickness of the rear transverse spring was also altered thus providing a more comfortable ride with no sacrifice in handling. Shock absorbers were reworked toward the same end. The 1964 Corvette arrived with a new standard shock containing within its fluid reservoir a small bag of Freon gas that absorbed heat. Chevy added more sound insulation and revised body and transmission mounts for the 1964 Corvette. It also fitted additional bushings to quiet the shift linkage and placed a new boot around the lever. The result was a more livable car for everyday transportation. Drivetrain choices remained basically as before but the high%26Acirc;%26shy; performance pair received several noteworthy improvements. The solid- lifter unit was massaged with a high-lift, long-duration camshaft to produce 365 bhp and breathed through a big four-barrel Holley carburetor instead of the base engine\'s Carter unit. The fuel injected engine also gained 15 horsepower, bringing its total to 375, but at a then%26Acirc;%26shy; hefty $538.00. Although transmission options remained ostensibly the same for 1964, the two Borg-Warner T-10 four-speeds gave way to similar pair of gearboxes built at GM\'s Muncie, Indiana, transmission facility. Originally a Chevy design, it had an aluminum case like the Borg-Warner box but came with stronger synchronizers and wider ratios for better durability and drivability. If enthusiast publications liked the first Stingray, they loved the 1964, though some writers noted the convertible\'s tendency to rattle and shake on rough roads. Sales of the 1964 Sting Ray reached 22,229 - another new Corvette record, if up only a little from banner-year 1963. Coupe volume dropped to 8304 units, but convertible sales more than compensated, rising to 13,925. This 1964 Corvette Stingray was the 1680th Corvette built at the St. Louis Plant in 1964.The car has original dark blue interior. The exterior is also original but recently painted the same color Silver Mist Blue. The engine was installed in the car as a dealer option in November 9th 1964. The Chevrolet High Rise Manifold and Stinger Hood was installed at a later date; Probably 1966 late in the year. The Webber 4BBL Carburetor remains original. The Knock off Wheels were added after the fact and are from Eckler\' s Corvette Parts in Titusville Florida. Long Tube tuned headers were installed at the same time the Engine was installed. The Original 4: 11 Positraction is stored for possible re-installation, the new one being 3:36 Positraction for better over the road mileage. The only non-Chevrolet Corvette parts on the car is the ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP, and the HEAT and OIL PRESSURE GUAGES, which could be returned back to the dash gauges with simple adjustments. This 1964 Corvette is what we call in the classic car business a great survivor. This 1964 Corvette Stingray can be seen including 100+ HD pictures and video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. In 1974 Chevrolet gave the Camaro quite a face lift. Taking inspiration from the high selling Vega lineup the front fascia received a more european style that was definitely well received from the buying population. The 1974 Z28 saw production numbers only slightly crest 13,000 which makes them very collectible and was the last year for the Z28 until it was returned to service in 1977 but with the post 75 body updates. This stunning yellow Z28 has been in its current owners hands for a little over 15 years and has been through with meticulous attention to detail and care. The first thing that one notices on this Camaro is the great stance and appearance given by the coil over suspension and oversized wheels for that pro touring appearance and feel. There have also been subtle changes to the exterior that make it a little different such as body matched bumpers instead of chrome which have been moved in and flushed with the rest of the body to bring it into the modern era. Inside the cockpit more modern touches have been added such as a complete set of carbon fiber series Autometer gages, B%26M Stealth magnum shifter, and all black interior make a powerful but clean impression. Under the hood this beast is carrying a stout recently rebuilt 355cid 4 bolt main V8. Backing this beast is a built TH400 with a healthy shift kit for when things get serious. The rear end is packing 3.42 gears with posi traction and held in by slide a link control bars and over sized sway bars that keep everything in check at the local stop light drag. With the low production numbers, attention grabbing looks, and plenty of power to back everything up, this Z28 is sure to gain in value and will be a great piece for any collector or even someone that wants a great looking street demon. Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer an ultra clean 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS Convertible. Chevrolet\'s Camaro is an unmistakable name in any car culture. Whether you\'re a car of drag racing, road racing, or just cruising with the top down, you know the Camaro. Introduced in 1967 Chevy started by making an affordable, lightweight, and attractive vehicle that US buyers ate up. Through the years Chevrolet added more horsepower, power equipment, and more trim levels. This 2001 model comes from the Camaros \"last generation\" until 2010 of course. This particular convertible is a Z28 SS. Up front you\'ll find the legendary 5.7 Liter LS1 V8. The LS1 has quickly become one of the most popular swap in engines. They are rugged, simple, and very powerful. In this application, the LS1 puts out a conservatively rated 305 Horsepower. The V8 is backed by a stout 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission running to a 3.42 rear end ratio with posi traction. This SS is finished in bright red exterior with a Tan convertible top. It sits on a great set of SS wheels wrapped in fresh low profile rubber. The interior hardly looks used and features tan leather and power accessories galore. The Camaro comes with: A/C, AM/FM/Cassette/CD, automatic convertible top, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, power seats, tilt column, keyless entry, seat belts, driver/passenger airbags, leather interior, and alloy wheels with radial tires. For sale in our Orlando showroom is a freshly restored 1979 Camaro. The Type LT fought the good fight, and had a great production run, but the folks at GM thought it was time to be replaced, so they ushered in the luxury oriented Berlinetta model for the 1979 model year. The instrument panel and dashboard for all models were redesigned with a more stylish look and total production hit an all-time high for the Camaro that hasn%26acirc;??t been replicated since. The Z/28 now came with a front spoiler and fender flares much like the Trans Am, and came with Z/28 decals that ran from the beginning of the front flares to the bottoms of the doors. The RS was once again available for the 1979 model year. The Berlinetta featured a host of interior and exterior cosmetic treatments. With good looks and a long list of options, it became very popular. It had a new suspension designed for a smoother ride and had custom-tuned engine mounts. This 1979 Camaro was restored less than 1 year ago where it undertook an off frame restoration. The powerful 350 engine was completely rebuilt. Futures added to the engine were Edelbrock power package (Part # EDL-2022) which consists of aluminum heads, roller rockers, aluminum intake %26 cam, Holley 4 BBL dual line carburetor, and headers with flowmaster exhaust installed. The paint looks sharp with little to no blemishes and the underside of the car was stripped and painted with pro 15 and then clear coated. The AC system was converted over to R134-A with a new compressor installed. Options included: AC, Power Breaks, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, %26 Raised White Letters. All restorations were completed less than 500 miles ago. This car is fresh and ready to drive, don\'t hesitate because this one will move fast. For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1966 Chevrolet Corvair. The Corvair from Chevrolet came at a time when America\'s auto makers were producing one size of vehicle, large. Seeing the trend start to unfold in the late 50\'s towards smaller more economical imports, Chevrolet jumped on the design bandwagon to bring their own flavor to the lineup. Built to compete against foreign competitors such as the Type 3 VW and Fiat 1300 the Corvair also held its own with domestic offerings such as the Ford Falcon and Plymouth Valiant. In 1960 the first Corvairs were well received by the press and the general public for its engineering, style, and performance. Providing a plethora of firsts for GM such as uni body construction, 4 wheel independent suspension, and air cooled flat 6 cylinder engine it\'s easy to see why this was the Motor trend car of the year for 1960. The Corvair we have in our Orlando showroom is a wonderfully restored example of the Monza version. Packing a 110hp air cooled flat 6 engine in the back the Corvair was hailed at the \"poor man\'s Porsche\", the performance of the Corvair revolved around light weight and exceptional handling. This silver monza definitely has a great amount of street appeal that gets plenty of attention. The Corvair is a breed that was unfortunately saddled in controversy which makes their numbers small and highly desirable. Treated to a recent restoration the interior and paint on this Monza are stunning in the sunlight and definitely are an eye catching combo. The 2 speed automatic transmission shifts great and you can feel plenty of pep from the 110hp all aluminum flat six in the rear. Located in our Orlando Showroom this 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza can be seen including HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
