From the original two-tone paint colors and correct trim to the untouched dash, this car exemplifies a classic 57 in its finest form. Style 1011A denotes a Delray Club Coupe, making this a very low prodcution car. Unlike the mass produced Bel Air 2 door model (166k units in '57) this 210 Delray is 1 of only 25,644 built. Better yet, this 210 Delray has some options such as the 4bbl carburator, two tone paint and Bel Air style front bumper which make it a rare 210. The final cost of this car was nearly as much as a Bel Air which tells us that the original owner probably preferred the 210 body style with its painted rear 1/4s and shortened rear fin trim. This car needs to be viewed in person to really appreciate just how nice and solid it is. The panel gaps are tight and the body lines are factory straight. The panels show true and straight down the sides and our digital paint gauge shows minimal filler throughout (see pics). The car was painted (we estimate 15 years ago) in its original two-tone colors and looks outstanding. A look inside the door frames shows the original paint in the most excellent condition (see pic of vin tag) proving the quality of the car prior to paint. We also note unusually dry and rust free paint inside the rear fuel fill area as well as inside the front fenders. Notice the upper fender bolt pictures, showing the patina and originality. You will also notice the original rubber upper hood seal. The trim is in near perfect condition, showing bright and straight from the hood darts to the window and side body trim. The windshield glass does have a hairline crack in it. The bumpers are straight and free from pitting. The doors have no sag and close crisp and tight. This car is an absolute stunner. Inward, this 57 sports her original dash and instrument cluster. Patina to last a lifetime on the optional charcoal and black dash paint. While the original Charcoal/Ivory vinyl interior was replaced with newer covers, the interior retains its original seats, dash, headliner, accessories, and is very charming. Equipped with Heat. The seats are firm, the tracks move nicely and they fold forward with ease allowing access to the rear seats. The door trim panels and all knobs are in excellent condition and the windows roll smoothly. This 210 sports an in dash clock which we believe to be an option. Under the hood is as nice as the rest of the car. The firewall retains its original paint and shows nice and dry. The 283ci turbo fire V8 is fed through a carter 4bbl carburetor with an original oil bath filter. The block is stamped CEG which denotes an over-the-counter replacement so we know this is not the original motor that came in the car off the production line. More than likely a dealer had to replace the original block with a factory replacement. The power is fed the rear wheels through the standard powerglide automatic. This hot rod chevy runs and drives great. It idles smooth and smoke free. The original wheels are pictured with 'dog dish' centers and we have the original centers (see trunk pics). The wheels are wrapped in an excellent set of cooper whitewalls. The underside (see pics) is as DRY as you will ever find for any 1957. It still has the cobwebs from the barn it had been sitting in for years. We note original dealer undercoating which has kept this 210 in phenomenally dry condition. The rails, rockers, and body mounting positions are all in unusually nice condition free or rust and damage. All floor pans are straight and dry and show nicely as well. The suspension appears correct (rear shocks replaced with air at some point) and does not show any signs of impact damage. You can see the backside of both the 1/4s and fenders are in excellent and dry condition. We do notice that the drivers side glass has a long crack through it possibly from slamming the door with the windo lowered. The window is still intact but one might consider replacing. This car is sure to turn heads and will certainly make a great addition to any collector or enthusiast. Please call for more information or pictures. You are looking at a very fine example of a '57 Convertible with its original 283 ci Power Pack 4bbl motor and driveline. We bought this car from what we believe to be only the second owner (less than a year). The car was purchased from an older neighbor who had passed away. What began as a Colonial Cream colored car over a Yellow and Silver interior is now an all White car over a Black and White interior. We are not sure when the switch was made but based on the paint and condition we believe it was refinished about 10 years ago, possibly more. The car is in fantastic condition and is as nice in person as it appears in our pictures. Outward the body shows nice and straight all over. The paint color is deep and shows a quality refinish job. The outer finish is deep and shines nicely, free of major surface scratches and paint blemishes. We do not detect any noteworthy bondo cracks or blisters and the body looks extremely true and straight. The trim, chrome, bezels and emblems are in amazing shape and show in top quality condition. The fender look great, free of the notorious headlight vent rust. Normal light chips on edges are noted as you can see in our pictures. The panel gaps are all consistent and the doors, hood, trunk, bumpers all line up nicely. They close just as nicely as you would hope. The lights, bumper rubbers, and grilles show in top condition as well. The rockers show nice and solid throughout. We note only a few minor blemishes in the body. There is a low door scratch that was touched up on the passenger side. We noticed that the left rear bumper chrome appears off center (possibly from backing into something). This can be adjusted on the mount easily. We note very light blistering on the lower rear edge of the passenger fender (see pic). We also notice 1-2 patches on the floorboards that were done in fiberglass and can be replaced with metal if desired. The trunk is very solid throughout and we only note 2 minor rust spots in the rear corners (see pics). The rear body panel is solid which is most important. Inward the car stand just as nice. The interior shows a nice original look. The seats material is in excellent condition as are the door and trim panels. The dash shows the perfect patina and the gauges and switches look fantastic in their original condition. The glass is perfect on the car and shows only some normal windshield nicks and a light wiper blade abrasion. The top is in excellent condition and the power mechanism and frame move smoothly and properly. Window gaps are nice and tight. The carpets look nice although a little worn on the edges. Seat belts are present and look era correct. All windows roll up and down smoothly, free of excess play or slop. The orininal radio (not working) is present as is the clock. Mechanically the car is unusually sound. It is very evident that the car was well looked after over the years. The original 283 ci 4bbl Power Pack engine fires up on one revolution and idles perfectly. No smoke is detected on start up or under acceleration. The valve train is quiet and the oil change is up to date. The Powerglide transmission shifts in and out of gear perfectly and smoothly. We do not detect any linkage slop consistent with older Chevys. The trans shifts nicely and is as smooth as can be. All heims, zerks, and moveable parts are properly greased and move freely. The control arm bushings are nice and the car doesn't have any noticeable road noise. It stops nice and straight and tracks straight under power. The steering feels nice and tight free of slop at the steering wheel. The rear end is nice and quiet at speed. The lights and signals all appear in good working order. This is such a fantastic driveable Tri-Five example. The underside is equally as impressive. The dual exhaust is in good condition and we do not detect any maniofold leaks or holes. The underside of the engine and trans show normal drip marks, none more than you would expect. The frame itself is nice and straight. We only note some small tears where the car was proably loaded or strapped down from over the years. The floor pans show heavy undercoating which we believe to be as old as the car. We do note the couple of fiberglass patches (see pics) but nothing of significant concern. The spare tire are is solid and the adjacent fuel cell looks fantastic. All body mount positions look good. This car is consistent throughout, showing in great shape. This car needs to be seen in person to be appreciated and we encourage you to do so. We are here to answer any questions that you may have.
