I have owned this truck for seven years and it has been amazing. I decided to sell it only because I found a mega cab truck that will serve my family with more room. I still drive this daily and everything works on it except the passenger rear window has to be rolled up by the rear door switch. I'm sure it needs a driver door switch. 2003 Duramax 4X4 With 215,000 miles (currently driving everyday to work)No rust on rockers or cab corners like most of these trucks have.This is a rock solid truck with ZERO emissions to go wrong! Fresh oil change, Fuel filter, service In last 5000 Miles;New GM injectors (I run fuel lubricity additive every tank now) $3500 installedNew upper control arm ball joint and Alignment $500New door hinges on drivers side $250 installed (common problem)New GM A/C control head $300New GM fuel level sender $450 (common problem)New Starter $300 (not reman)New Batteries $250New center console lid $200Reman' Transfer Case and New GM extension housing and Merchant Automotive transfercase brace $2750 installedNew GM shift valves, solenoids, wiring harness internal to Trans and new Synthetic Fluid (This was done 10,000 miles ago, fixed a random problem that stuck the Allison in 3rd gear fail safe mode) $750New GM trans cooler line $200 As you can see I've spent around $10,000 on repairs, some of the smaller items I've done but the trans, transfer case, and injector work I paid a seasoned ASE master diesel tech to do. I hate doing things twice so I make sure and use excellent parts and do the job so it only has to be done once. Reason for selling? 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 4 Door Short bed! Top of the line model with every option! Featuring the very sought after LBZ 6.6L Turbo Charged Diesel Engine backed by the famous automatic Allison 6 speed transmission. This truck is a power house with more than enough torque for any job you may have. 205k miles and just getting broken in. Mods include EFI live 5 position tuner, MBRP exhaust, and K&N cold air intake. I average around 24mpg on the highway and 19 city in economy mode. I am the 2nd owner and this truck has been taken care of extremely well, by not only me but the original owner who had this truck serviced regularly at the dealership, full synthetic fluids have always been used. Grey leather interior, Bose premium sound system, remote start, power locks, windows, cruise, dual power heated seats w/ lumbar, and DVD player. Everything works as it should with zero mechanical problems. Unfortunately the truck has been around winter climates where salt is starting to show its effects on the underside of the truck with some rust starting to show on the lower rocker panels and cab corners. Has been an excellent truck for me that is not only fun to drive but is extremely reliable and is sure to make it's new owner enjoy owning it as much as I have.
