DESCRIPTION For sale is my 1990 Chevy 454 SS truck. Title in hand. I bought this truck this past summer for a fun toy, and it sure did deliver. I buy vehicles like this as an enthusiast. I usually find myself working on them, getting them up to par, and then selling them to move on to something else. Well, that time has come. I will sure miss this vehicle next summer, as it is a blast to drive! I really didn’t have to do too much to this truck because it was in great shape when I got it. It was more or less something to fiddle with on the weekends in the garage. I bought this truck locally. The guy I bought it from was going to build it into a drag truck. He actually already had a set of aluminum heads purchased for it. He decided to do a Chevelle instead, and sold the truck. The truck is pretty much stock, but does have some upgrades. The wheels are aftermarket and so are the valve covers. It has an aftermarket motorized back window. The side mirrors are aftermarket. The truck is in excellent shape for the year, and is just plain bad a$$ looking. I've only put about 1,000 miles on it since I've owned it. Overall, the paint is in decent condition. You can see by the pictures that it shines up to a mirror like finish. We that said, it does have its fair share of blemishes. It has some scuffs, some scratches, and a small ding in the hood. Previously, there were a few other dents/door dings that I got repaired by a dent removal company. I would call this a 10 foot paint job. From 10 feet away, it looks excellent. You get any closer than 5 feet away, and you can see the blemishes. I hadn’t planned on painting it. It is what it is. A 25 year old truck that has a mirror like shine to the casual observer. I was planning on doing some touch up work but haven’t gotten around to it. With any skills, you could really take the paint to another level. There are a few spots where surface rust is starting to form (bumper, rockers). I have included pics. These spots are in their infancy, and in my opinion no big deal (again. . 25 year old truck). Some garage time prepping & painting, and they will be taken care of. I was planning on doing this this winter, but it doesn’t look like I will get a chance. The 454 starts & runs great! It drives great down the road. As far as I know the truck needs nothing mechanically. The suspension is solid, no clunks, or pulling off center. I would drive this truck anywhere. The exhaust is Magaflow, 40 series I believe. It is a true dual setup, is loud, and sounds AWESOME!!!! You really get an excellent exhaust note with the big block chevy. The previous owner bough brand new American Racing wheels & new tires right before he sold it, so they are like new. The wheels and the quality of chrome plating is superb in my opinion. As you can see by the pics, the interior is near mint. I was super surprised that it was so nice when I first saw it. Included is a set of custom made floor mats ($100). I recently replaced the headliner with one from stock interiors. Before this, it had the usual sag you find in these trucks. I don’t think I’ve even drove it since the install. There are no tears or rips in the seats. No noticeable stains on the carpet or seats. The interior is PLUSH. I haven’t gotten around to replacing the sun visors. I will include the original ones, but to do the truck justice, new ones will need to be ordered from stock interiors to match the headliner. It's a great vehicle, and gets a lot of attention. Total number of units produced of this vehicle was 16,953. In 1990 alone, there were 13,748 sold, making this truck (regardless of year) a low production model. From the factory, these came with an advertised 230 hp, 385 foot pounds of torque. I've always been a big fan of these trucks, and they really did start the sport truck revolution back in the day. Good examples of these are getting harder & harder to find as they only made them a few years. They are only going up in value. I have this registered as a classic car, which in MN means you don't have to buy plates every year. For classics in MN, you don't even have to pay the full sales tax. Full coverage insurance is only like $14/month! Costs obviously vary by state, but this is my experience. THE BAD The vehicle does not have the sun visors installed currently. As described, some rust starting on bumper, rockers. Easily treatable Scratches, scuffs, & knicks on the paint A/C needs repair Parking break is a little temperamental 1990 Chevy 454 SS C1500 ** Amazing ** YEAR: 1990 MAKE: Cheverolet MODEL: 454 SS VIN #: 1GCDC14N7LZ162678 DETAILS MILES: 98,XXX Original.
