For sale in our Fort Lauderdale Showroom is a 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350-H. Shelby Mustang is a higher performance variant of the Ford Mustang which was built by Shelby from 1965 to 1968. There was a total of 4,441 Shelby Mustangs produced in 1968 and of those 4,441 Shelby\'s only 1,027 were made as a GT350 edition. This 1968 Shelby GT 350 Coupe for sale has a J code 302ci engine with the dealer option Paxton supercharger. This is one of the original 1968 Hertz car (1 of 223) with a long list of factory options plus the dealer-installed Paxton supercharger! This car has been with its current family for over 20 years and that family owns a Auto detail company, which means it has also been professionally cleaned. This Shelby Hertz Mustang has been a lifetime Florida car that was originally purchased in Miami. It has 36,724 original miles on it and it runs like a top car should. This Ford Mustang Shebly GT350 for sale has the Marti report which states that is was a Hertz car, as well as the original build sheet of the car. This car is period correct and all original with the following exceptions: The steering wheel has been changed; The A/C compressor has been changed (to help accommodate the Paxton centrifugal supercharger); the black coating has been removed from the supercharger cover to match the Paxton bare metal color; the floor mats are Mustang mats, not Shelby. This Shelby GT350 fastback is a fantastic example of an original car that you can take to any entry level car show or local car meet and know that you will break some necks :) but it is a great foundation for a full frame-off restoration if that what you are looking to do. The exterior is in excellent shape, with no dents or dings. It was repainted about 20 years ago in the original Lime Gold color. The car has been stored indoors since then. The interior is all original ( except steering wheel), and is in excellent condition. This car has just 36,724 actual miles on it, and the condition of the interior reflects that, even the headliner and door panels show you how good it has been taken care of. This Hertz Shelby Mustang Fastback came from the factory with an automatic C-4 transmission, air conditioning, AM radio, tilt steering wheel, tachometer / trip odometer, and the \"Interior Decor Group\". This Shelby has the dealer-installed period correct Paxton Supercharger, which includes 2 additional interior gauges for vacuum pressure and fuel pressure. The Paxton supercharger was not available from the factory in 1968, it had to be dealer installed. The supercharger came with some parts painted in black paint originally but it threw off the color flow underneath the hood so bare metal look was the way to go but this is the original period correct Paxton supercharger. Options included : A/C, AM radio, power front disk brakes, power rear brakes, power steering, 5 point harness, Vinyl interior, performance radial tires.
