In 1970 Plymouth started a new line and it was the E Body that had the Cuda and Challenger. It was wider and lower than the A body. The one we have for you is a V Code Car which means it's a factory 440 Six Pack car. This Cuda has a date code correct 440 Engine just not Matching #s. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Plymouth, but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website. We will start off with the exterior of the Cuda. The body is solid and straight with good lines and fit. This being a Six Pack car it has the shaker hood along with the rear wing and front spoiler. It also has the road lamp package. It's painted in the factory Color scheme Banana Yellow with the Black 440 Stripes. The paint shows very well with a slick finish. This Cuda has nice glass and trim. All the bumpers look new as well as all the weather stripping. The rear valance has the cut outs for the dual chrome tips. The final touch is the factory Ralley Wheels with White Letter Tires. Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '70. On the inside it's also done in the factory black color scheme. It has the correct bucket seats and console. Also it retains the factory seat belts. The seats, console, door panels and headliner all looks good. The radio was changed to an Am FM Cd Player. To finish off the interior it has the custom Wood Steering Wheel. Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Plymouth. Under the hood it all looks correct with the only change being the vintage Heat and AC. It's powered by a '70 Model 440 with the 3x2's. The trans is a 727 Torque Flite Automatic that is mated to the 8 " Rear End. The engine looks as it would have new with it being painted and no chrome. It has the stock manifolds and dual exhaust. To help it stop it has factory Front Disc that are Power with drum out back. It also has Power Steering. When you look under this 'Cuda the bottom looks great with solid floors and frame rails. It has a new fuel tank and lines. This is a Muscle car many people dream of, don't sleep on it because she won't be here long. Designed to combat the Mustang Boss 302 and Camaro Z/28 it emphasizes high-winding small block power and razor-sharp handling over brute force, and it totally works. This numbers-matching AAR 'Cuda benefits from an extremely high-quality restoration, which is only appropriate as it's among the most highly prized pieces of Mopar muscle. Refinished in its original Lemon Twist yellow, it's a high-impact E-body that looks like none of its other siblings. The blacked-out hood features a bespoke scoop and the strobe stripes along its flanks terminate in the AAR logo of Dan Gurney's All American Racers, from which the car draws its name. You'll also note side exhaust peeking out from under the car just ahead of the rear wheels, a critical part of the AAR 'Cuda look. This one also features a rear spoiler and a set of driving lights up front, completing the highly aggressive look. It was repainted just a few months ago by noted pro Darrell Wilson and the paint is absolutely show-quality in every possible way. Awesome gaps, super smooth sheetmetal, and crisp decals make it look showroom fresh. Actually, no 1970 Chrysler product ever looked this good and this one is truly remarkable. The interior was restored to the same exacting standards. New upholstery on the high-back buckets, a center console, and a full complement of Rallye gauges, including a tach, make this an awesome place to do some serious driving. It isn't flashy, although the woodgrained wheel adds an upscale flair, and unlike its Ford and Chevy competition, the AAR could be had with an automatic transmission, as is the case with this one. There's also an AM radio in the dash, but precious little else to slow it down, and the effect is clean and well-honed, an ideal weapon for combat on the streets. It's Spartan, yes, but the quality of the materials and workmanship ensures that it'll be a joy to drive and if you like collecting trophies, this car will probably do it for you pretty easily. Even the trunk is expertly finished using a reproduction mat and a proper space-saver spare with jack assembly. The AAR's powerplant was a 340 cubic inch V8 with Six-Pack induction, and this is indeed the car's original, numbers-matching engine. It's fully rebuilt and freshly detailed for show, including proper decals on the massive oval air cleaner, reproduction hoses and clamps, and even a yellow-cap battery. It's extremely fresh and crisply rendered, making it a shoo-in for competition and it even runs superbly, something you don't often get with show-caliber cars. It was rebuilt by legendary engine builder Matt Bishop, so you know there's a lot of talent behind it. The 727 TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic is also rebuilt and while it's not numbers-matching, it is date-code correct and the heavy-duty 8.75-inch rear end was standard equipment. The underside is completely show quality thanks to a rotisserie restoration, and the floors offer just the right amount of overspray, proper finishes on the hardware, and just about everything you can touch is new. Restored Rallye wheels look great and carry reproduction E60-15 front and G60-15 rear Goodyear Polyglas tires, making the AAR 'Cuda the first production car to carry staggered tires. Documented with goodies like the original fender tag that says simply, "TRANS AM" plus an original owner's manual, this is one of the finest AAR 'Cudas in the country. 1974 PLYMOUTH CUDA - REAL BLACK ON BLACK CAR - FOR SALE 1974 PLYMOUTH CUDA - REAL BLACK ON BLACK CAR - FOR SALE! This auction is for a truly rare car, a REAL 1974 BS23 ‘Cuda, factory TX9 Black paint, with a Black interior, and a white stripe! Although it is a project car, it is very worthy of restoration, and will make someone a great winter project car. It originally came with the 318 2bbl 150hp engine, with a 904 automatic trans. The original powertrain is missing, and someone back when converted it to a 4-speed. As you can see from the pics, it has a manual trans floor hump, and a clutch pedal installed in it. I am unaware if these parts are identical to what the factory would have installed, if it had been an original 4-speed car. If you’re a MOPAR guy, we all know that the 1971s are the King ‘Cudas, then the 1970, due to the 426 Hemis, the 440 Six-Packs, etc. In 1972, 1973, and 1974, these were gone. However, 1974 was the last year of this great E-body style, and this year had the SMALLEST production figures of ANY of the years! For all 1974, there were only 11,734 Total Barracudas, with only 4,989 of these being BS23 ‘Cudas, leaving 6,745 that were the actual Barracuda. (For reference, consider that over 151,000 Camaros were built for 1974, over 362,000 Chevelles, and 386,000 of the UGLY 1974 Mustang IIs were made!) According to the best sources I can find on short notice, it appears that there were only 2,412 BS23G4B ‘Cudas, with the automatic transmission, and although I can’t narrow down exactly how many were Black on Black, there were numerous colors, so it is a VERY rare car, and how many are left? Also, the 72-3-4 ‘Cudas have been appreciating quite a bit over the last several years, as have other mid-late 70s models, so this car is a WORTHY resto project! If this car was a 1971 ‘Cuda, you couldn’t TOUCH it at 3 TIMES this price! The ‘Cuda has its original tag, as broken down as follows: E44 – 318 2bbl D34 – Auto Transmission – 904 Torqueflight BS23 G4B 244391 – VIN# TX9 – Black Paint A6X9 – Black Interior 000 – No Upper Door Frame Paint C10 – Build Date December 10th, 1973 331360 – Vehicle Order# TX9 – Black Painted Top U – Made for USA B41 – Front Disc Brakes w/std 10” Rear Drums C16 – Console w/Floor Shift C56 – Bucket Seats G11 – Tinted Glass G54 – LH Remote Chrome Racing Mirror J25 – 3-speed Wipers J54 – Sport Hood M21 – Chrome Roof Drip Moldings M25 – Chrome Sill Moldings M26 – Chrome Wheel Lip Moldings M31 – Chrome Belt Molding M88 – Chrome Decklid Molding N76 – Coolant Recovery System N85 – Tachometer w/Rallye Gauge Cluster R11 – AM Radio V6W – White Longitudinal Stripe L2 – Assembly Line 2 743 – (Unknown) I got this car from a local friend of mine who has owned it for about 15 years, and just recently decided to sell it. I would LOVE to fix it up myself, but I just don’t have the time, too many other projects to deal with. What I would do with this car is make the “Ultimate Rat Rod”, at least for awhile, anyway. I would build a killer 440, get a 5-speed stick (with an original pistol-grip shifter, so it looks like a stock 4-speed), get all the suspension, steering, electrical, brakes, etc redone, stuff as fat rear tires as I could on some 8-1/2 inch offset Rallyes, get the 3.55 rear end all set up, but LEAVE THE BODY ALONE for now! Can you imagine the FUN when you pull up next to one of these new pretty Mustangs or Camaros or Corvettes in this car that looks all ratty on the outside, and then you proceed to BLOW THEIR DOORS OFF??? Besides, you wouldn’t be worried about getting door dings at car shows, or the local Wal-Mart! I’d have some fun for a long time, and THEN restore the body LATER!!! (I’ve had perfect show cars, and I’ve had imperfect drivers, and quite frankly, drivers are more fun!) Some of the ‘Cuda’s sheet metal will need rust repair or replacement, but most of it can be saved. The entire floorboard is in good shape, including under the back seat, there are only a few small holes in the driver front floorboard that will need welding. Some touch-up welding needs to be done in the front wheelwells where there was some previous work done, but they aren’t too bad. The trunk floor is going to need either complete replacement, or a lot of repair, along with the trunk extensions. I would replace both lower quarters, at the mid-body seam, if I was doing the resto. Then, there is a little hole on the lower rear corner of the passenger door (pic# 38 on my site, see below), and some rust repair on the lower front passenger fender. Of course, there is a lot of regular body work to be done, dents, old bondo removal etc, after 42 years, as you can see from the pics. There are many extra items that come with the car at the Buy-It-Now price, including: A complete 440 engine that is 1974 date-coded, that came out of a 1974 Dodge Motorhome, but without the carb/intake manifold that are shown in the pics in the picture link below. Pair of ‘Cuda doors that are in great shape. A 3.55 Sure-Grip rear end “pumpkin”. If you wish to purchase the car without these items, I’m open to it, make me a specific offer. Also please note that pic #24 is of someone else’s ’74 Cuda, that shows what this car looked like when new, that pic IS NOT of this car! One other note, I have a complete roof section that is also for sale separately (I included a pic of it in this auction), but I wouldn’t use this roof section for this car, get a $600 Roof Skin from AMD, and just section out the sunroof part, use the rest of the new metal for a few patches where needed. Save this complete ‘Cuda roof section for a 1970 or 1971 high-$ ‘Cuda, that had a vinyl top and is totally rusted beyond saving. MUCH better use of this roof! Or, just leave the pop-up sunroof in it, it was probably put in 35 years ago, very retro! I'm not sure if ebay will allow this link to my own website, so you can see almost 100 pics of the ‘Cuda, but here it is: See Picture List If this doesn't show up, I’ll try adding that link to this description later if I can, or message me, or call me, and I can give you the link. Also, my pics are about 4 times the size of the ones here, so you can really see any details you are interested in. After looking through all the pics, if there is some part of the car that you have additional questions about it, I’ll be happy to take another pic of whatever it is you wish to see better. I know what it’s like to buy a car “sight unseen”, which is why I try to have tons of pics. I have been a buyer/seller as CudaManiac on ebay now for over 18 years, have 100% positive feedback both buying and selling. I want both the buyer and myself to be happy with the deal, I don’t want to EVER get my FIRST negative or even neutral feedback, so if you are unsure of something, ASK!!! I'm asking $6,800 or best offer (US Dollars only), at this time. I'm open to offers of course, but if you have to borrow the money, get the approval FIRST. Also, I reserve the right to end this auction early, as the Cuda is advertised elsewhere. If you have any questions or comments, either send me a message through ebay, or call me (Darrell) on my cell at (405) 650-2864, I'm in Oklahoma, Central Standard Time.

1972 Plymouth Cuda Barracuda 440 Immaculate condition, 8/71 Blower with over 700 hp. The car has power steering and a front disc brake conversion. This Cuda came from the factory with a 340. It was converted to a blown 440 by Joe Keen aka (Pops). He is a premier Mopar builder in Indiana. Since the motor was installed the car has been driven 3200 miles. The engine is fresh and very strong. It does not leak any type of fluid. This car is fast and has great street mannerisms for cruising. The 727 torque flight transmission with a manual valve body and has an awesome pistol grip shifter. 390 gear ratio with a eight and three-quarter rear end. The body is incredible. The car spent most of its life in Texas. The car is laser straight. There are two scratches on the rear bumper that could be touched up. I included pictures of these scratches and they are also in the video. There is no rust wave, bubbling or any other flaws anywhere on the car. The paint is 7 years old but has always been babied and garage kept. The paint is bright and glossy. I would rate the paint a 9 out of 10. The interior is near perfect. All gauges work perfectly and are not faded or discolored. Seats, carpet, headliner, package tray and door panels are all in fantastic shape. The interior was replaced the same time as the engine and the car was barely driven. I do have a brand new dash but the car does not need it. The dash is flawless except for the speaker grill guard is warped from the sun. This is a beautiful car and will make any new owner very happy. Please contact me with any questions you have about the car. Steve 502-938-5339 VIDEOS Ebay no longer allows links to be placed in listings! I have multiple walk around and driving. Please contact me and I will email you the links to my videos on You tube.

Here it is folks, the mother of all Mopars! Don't pass up this chance to own a true piece of Mopar history........a fully documented (body VIN stampings match, 2 fender tags and 2 original build sheets), highly optioned, 1971 Plymouth Cuda, 472 ci Hemi, 727 Torqflite automatic tranny, original 8 3/4 rear-end w/3.23 gears and Sure Grip posi, original Houndstouth, original front and rear elastomeric bumpers, and painted in it's factory original Tor Red (Plymouth name for Hemi Orange) EV2 paint code. Let me start by saying that I am a private Mopar collector and not a dealer.....I have a few other Mopars. The ONLY REASON I am considering selling this car is because I am upgrading to a higher dollar car. That said, I will not give the car away and I don’t have to sell it. I know what it's worth and what I paid for it 2 years ago. Since then, I have put an additional $5k in the car........little details, making sure everything works on the car etc. If you are a tire-kicker, a dealer looking to consign/store/list and sell my car, a dreamer who can't wire me the money........please don't call or email. The car will not leave my garage until I am paid in full via a cashiers check (from a nationally recognized bank, and yes, I will call the bank on the validity of the check) or a wire into my bank account. I need a real buyer who wont yank my chain. I welcome ANY questions from qualified buyers! Once the funds are cleared, I will release the car. I mean no disrespect, but I have been down this road PLENTY of times because I have bought and sold many collector Mopars. I can not ship the car for you, but I would be happy to work with your shipper of choice to get the car to you in pristine shape. The car is for sale locally and so I reserve the right to end the listing a any time. No trades, cash only please. Now that all the "fun stuff" is out of the way, let's talk about the car. History/Documentation: I have a clean Ohio title in hand for the car. The car comes with 2 original broadcast sheets in mint condition and I have enclosed those pictures. I am also including the appraisal that was executed when restoration was complete in 2007 and it was valued at $125,000. I know the market has come down a bit, thus the current listing price. I bought the car here in Ohio. This car was purchased from the previous owner out of California, who fully restored the car from 2005-2007. There is a pile 3” thick that includes ALL of the receipts for every part that was replaced or repaired and I will include them in the deal. The gentlemen who executed the restoration in California had a simple goal: restore this 71 Cuda back to its original specs on the fender tag/build sheets, upgrade the block to a beefier Hemi, and make it street reliable to drive everyday in California weather. This car is factory original, to a tee…except for the 2 major upgrades: the Hemi and the Shaker hood….cool additions, I might add! When the factory issued block and tranny were blown long ago, the owner took the car in an awesome direction. Although we don’t have the original driveline, this thing is bullet proof and wicked fast! The original fender tags (it had 2 from the factory due to being a highly optioned car) are on the car and the codes are listed for you below. I have tried to include a picture of the VIN and the matching stamping on the firewall, but it’s a bit blurry. I also have both original broadcast sheets for you, in order to back up the factory issued direction of the car. I have listed the fender tag codes below for you, just in case anything is illegible in the pictures: Tag 1: M21 M25 M31 M88 N41 CTD J78 J81 L25 L31 L34 C55 G11 G36 H51 J45 J54 EV2 H5XV 000 926 012209 E65 D32 BS23N1B159149 Tag 2: N42 R11 V61 26 EN2 BS23N1B159149 Restoration/Paint/Body: On a scale of 1-10 (and I'm a tough critic), this car is a 2+. Why is it not a 1......because I put my kids in it and drive it to local Mopar car shows.......it gets driven a little. Not banged on....cruised with 2 little kids in the back. In my mind, it would be a 1 if it were a total trailer queen. The paint job is 8 years old, but it looks awesome....as you can see in the attached pictures. There are 2 spots the size of a fingernail that we touched up because someone nicked the paint....nothing major. One is on the hood and another is back by the driver’s side back bumper. I'm telling you because I'm not the guy who likes surprises, not because they are a big deal. Most people may not even notice them. The car had all of the chrome re-dipped or replaced. Look closely at the pictures….the chrome isn’t pitted and it’s flawless! This is a rare rubber bumper car and they are in great shape. These grills and the gills on this car are typically broken or damaged….none of that here. The car was equipped with a space saver spare and the correct jacks are in the trunk as well. I have nothing to hide here....this is a beautiful car! Interior: All original interior with new Legendary skins. All interior parts, decals, and knobs were replaced or re-chromed to look like new…..stunning. The gages were professionally rebuilt during the restoration and they are functional. Rare, orange Houndstooth bucket seats look awesome! The reverse light and dome light even work! Nothing is cracked, broken, etc. The dashboard is a new Just Dashes unit and not warped, etc. This was an automatic car so with that wood-grained console and Slapstick shifter, staring you straight in the face. This was a high-optioned, bucket seat car with new carpet, a rim-blow steering wheel etc. The window cranks are spotless, etc. All factory seat belts are in the car and functional. The radio is an original Chrysler AM/FM radio, rebuilt with modern electronics to handle the cd changer that he added in the trunk....and it all works too. The previous owner wanted to add the ability to take the car on long trips and cruise with a lot of tunes. This was a tastefully placed upgrade that gives the car an additional creature comfort. Driveline: As stated earlier, this car does not have the original driveline. If you haven’t done so already, when you check the VIN you’ll find out that it was originally a 383 car. This wasn’t a BH car that had a 318….this was a factory issued, big-block Cuda that got a HUGE upgrade with the new Hemi. I have included a copy of one of the many receipts that shows the previous owner spent over $17k…just to buy the new 472 Hemi block and the parts. So, the car now has a Mopar crate 472 Hemi that was blueprinted, ported, and polished by Ollie Hellert Racing Engines. It now produces 557 horsepower with OE Dual quad intake and correct valve covers. This car rumbles with new TTI headers, 3” TTI exhaust, H pipe, and 3” TTI tips The 8 ¾”, Sure Grip posi rear end was rebuilt and does its job well. All suspension components have been replaced and the shocks were upgraded to KYB replacements with new bushings throughout and original sway bar. The front suspension was completely rebuilt with all new components. Steer and Gear ultra firm feel steering box performs well. Although the car is driven, it looks quite nice underneath with all of these new parts. The wheels and tires are new 15x7 ralleys in the front and 15x8 ralleys in the rear with 245/60/15 and 255/60/15 tires in the front and rear. This car is wicked fast, aggressive sounding, shifts hard enough to snap your neck, stops well, and handles smoothly. Please email me with any additional questions at [email protected] . Serious inquitres only can also call me at 330-801-0061. Please, no calls from dealers/buyers who want to low-ball, or someone wanting to relist the car. the car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the listing on ebay at any time. Once again, no trades and cash only please. This is an amazing collector car that is highly documented and a huge opportunity for the right person. I look forward to seeing it go to the right home!

1970 Cuda Convertible ORIGINAL V code 440-6 engine with factory N96 SHAKER HOOD This is a rare opportunity to own one of the 12 original 440-6 Barrel Cuda convertibles produced in 1970 with an auto trans. Total production was 29 cars, 12 autos and 17 4spds. For more pics click here https://www.flickr.com/photos/131023070@N06/sets/72157650981233348/ Options: This is a loaded car with the most desirable options available, including the Rare Shaker Hood, Power Windows, Rally dash, 8 Track Radio, Rim Blow wheel, 6 way seat, Hockey Stick Stripe, PS, PB and the list goes on. Colors: Restored in the correct and original color combo of Vitamin C Orange/ White Interior/Black Top All Numbers Matching Car: The drive train and Body are original and born with this car. The following numbers match: Engine Trans Dash VIN Tag Fender Tag Cowl Stamp Rad support Stamp Door Sticker Body Restoration: The car was restored by Roger Gibson who has the best reputation for restoring Mopars in the world. No corners were cut and the best original and date coded NOS parts were used in the restoration. The car was restored in 1990 and looks like it was restored yesterday. The paint is flawless and shows zero signs of age. The paint work is second to none. For example: When some restorers paint a trunk floor, the paint may look great until you look past the shock towers and way back in the hidden areas. Those areas sometimes look unfinished and flat. That is not the case here. The paint work is exceptional on every inch of this car. The bottom of the car was painted as nice as the top. This car was undercoated from the factory so the under coating was then reapplied over the beautiful Vit C paint and correct primer over spray like the factory did. The cost of a Gibson restoration today using the NOS parts that were used on this car would cost close to $200k. for more pics click here https://www.flickr.com/photos/131023070@N06/sets/72157650981233348/ Drive Train and suspension Restoration: The original numbers matching drive train was rebuilt to factory specs using OEM parts. Then it was detailed with the correct parts like: hoses, clamps, regulator, altenator, fasteners, brackets, hold downs, wire looms, etc. The repro battery is a prop for these photos. A new auto parts store battery is included with the car. The exhaust consists of original NOS mufflers, resonators and pipes. Tires are correct reproduction GoodYear Polyglass GTs. Ride is handled by NOS Oriflow date code correct shocks. They shocks are few and far between. Collectors have paid thousands of dollars for shocks like these. Interior Restoration: The dash pad is perfect, the rally dash cluster looks like new without a scratch and no fading. The heater control panel lettering is like new. The seats are recovered in Legendary seat covers, the top is perfect and the original grain. The door panels were replaced with the best reproduction panels available at the time. They are not as nice as the reproductions that are available today. The seat belts have the original date coded labels and are the very rare deluxe seat belts with white bands around the heads and very rare clear clips that hold the tight and loose ends of the belts together. They come with a light mounted on the dash which reminds the driver to fasten seat belts. Special rear Seat belt holders allow the seat belts to be clipped in place when not in use. You will rarely see a stock set up as nice and complete as this one.
