1951 Merc for sale!! Willing to take partial trade for a 1936 -1937 Plymouth humpback sedan. Any condition, must have title. Body: nosed, decked, shaved, and frenched. Painted with a 1990 Chrysler red inferno metallic. Drive line: Chevy 454 bored to .060 with mild cam, turbo 350 trans, ford 9" rear end with 350 gears. Suspension: Front - Aerostar springs with new shocks. Rear - 4" blocks with new shocks. Other: Buick front grill, brand spanking new Hooten tires radial fat white walls, rims have spider caps and beauty rings, new gas tank, 23" double bend Lokar shifter, new exhaust - straight pipes with 8" cherry bombs and pencil tips, and custom pinstriping. This Merc turns tons of heads and gets the thumbs up every where you go. Things that need work are the interior. It is in good shape but was redone cheaply. It's great for those looking drive this a lot and good enough for shows but not the best thing about the car. The passenger side front window is cracked but still rolls up and down with no issues. Gauges need to be redone. The oil, volt meter work but the odometer and gas gauge do not work. The good: This is daily driver ready. I was driving it every day for over 6 months with no issues. It has a clean California title and I'm the third owner. please feel free to pm me with any questions. To see the video of my Merc search for "1951 Mercury FOR SALE custom led sled" on youtube.  The reason I'm selling it or to help fund a new business. This is my dream car and I hate to see it go but I need the money to better my family's financial future.

**Open to Reasonable and Legitimate offers, please have your funds in order prior to contacting me. I will not finance or wait for your bank to approve you. Please take care of everything prior.Inspections are welcome. - Original Unchopped 1951 Mercury - California Car - **with 1951 plates- Car is Black with Custom Flames, it's a older paint job and still definitely a head turner- 3 on the tree manual transmission (does have a boxed shifter opening on the floor, someone prior to me had another transmission installed)- Professionally paint detailed 09/15/16- To my knowledge all of the body panels are original to the car, there is only surface rust on the chassis, floorboards are solid. There is a small 4x2 section of rust on the passenger side lower fender area but is otherwise solid. It is not eating through the panel but will need to be addressed to be a 10 point car.- Brakes have been gone through, new front shoes and drum resurfacing.- New Master cylinder- New 12v alternator- New 12v Napa battery- New front and rear lights- New tires all the way around, with painted whitewalls- Does have ALL of the panels for the car, front door cards are in the trunk and will need to be redone, but the templates are there!- Chrome is in great condition and does not have to be redone.- All glass is intact, the drivers side front vent glass does have a crack, but new glass is included (may even get installed if time permits)- All new oil and transmission fluid- New Thermostats- New Radiator Cap- New Tail light reflectors- Car does have rear fender skirts, not currently installed due to the new tire installation. **More photos to follow, Probably some more stuff I missed, will update as I refresh my list **Buy it now, I will cover shipping to 48 states** International bidders, please contact me BEFORE placing a offer or Buying it Now

1950 Mercury Sport Sedan up for sale.Mercury has been a California car all it's life according to paperwork history and also according to VIN number stating the build plant "LA meaning Los Angeles " . Body has zero rust anywhere on the car and was repainted once in late 2000 the original Trojan Grey / Roanoke Green color again and completely gone through with mindset of being a dependable daily driver that can go anywhere while still looking good. This sedan is a solid driver with a sbc V8 mated up to the stock 3 speed on the column with factory overdrive. Overdrive works well going down the highway and drives easy at 65 mph. Overdrive cable pulls out smoothly and engages nice. Motor, transmission and rear end are sealed tight with no leaks left in the garage when parked. Motor has approximately 23,000 miles based of the mileage on the speedometer when motor was installed around 65,000 miles. Has electric fan hooked up with on/off with under dash. Has additional mechanical temp gauge under dash to give an accurate temp. Rear end has stock gearing and was serviced in 2013 with paperwork. Power steering makes for easy steering. Interior was redone in a stock but comfortable fashion along with matching trunk interior. All glass is nice with all door glass rolling up and down easy. All gauges work well along with all lights/headlights and dome lights. Also has iPod hookup with amp and speakers in trunk that work well. Heater/fan works well with all knobs and switches working as they should. Suspension is all stock with only 2"lowering coils in front and blocks in rear with new shocks. Nice Firestone 7.10/15 whitewalls on stock rims with factory hubcaps. Car has been nice and reliable to get in and drive anywhere without hesitation. California title and current registration. If car stays in California it will come with YOM license plates with are match car with title. If car leaves California I will retain license plates. This body-on restoration was a 3 year project completed in early 2010 and started with probably the most pristine rust-free stock body you could find. No rust anywhere, body-off not required. The car hadn't been re-painted or re-upholstered since 1964. Originally a California car, the second owner in Tacoma, WA bought it in 1965, gave it to his son in 1975, who sold it to me in 2000 with 99,900 original miles on it. Always garage stored, very little driving in rain. Most of the interior stainless trim had been removed during re-upholstery in 1964 and I spent years acquiring it again. Body is still stock with 1951 Mercury fender skirts added; engine & running gear mostly stock with re-builds and a few changes for safety & convenience as well as a few "WOWS". Options available from factory but not on car were found and added. BODY & INTERIOR: Stock 1950 Mercury 8 Coupe with 1951 fender skirts. Re-painted in 1966 Corvette "Trophy Blue" with some Pearl added. Detailed pin striping by Jr. Nelson both inside & outside. Upholstery done in similar styling to original including all stainless trim, and is leather w/naughahyde trim matching exterior color w/Pearl White accent colors. Hand assist straps added to side posts and rope assists on back of front seats. 4 lap seat belts added matching as close as possible. Carpet is a slightly darker blue. Headliner is Pearl White as accent trim but shows darker in photos. A custom console was added for me and is short enough for seat to be pulled up all the way. Glove box is shallow to allow room for the Vintage Air heat/AC ductwork and is wired to plug in an I-Pod to run off radio as well as charge it. Alpine iDAX100 is AM/FM & iPod, displays playlists & content playing. 6 speakers & amplifier make a terrific sound. Original radio & clock remain but are not working (radio face only). Original dash/gauges but only speedometer & fuel gauge wired to work. Vintage style Autometer gauges added for oil pressure, voltage, tach, and water temp gauges for both left & right pumps. OEM steering wheel reconditioned and colored to match accent trim & dash. Front & side window frames are chromed and has opening rear quarter windows. All new seals during restoration (makes quarter windows difficult to close). Trunk interior finished same as interior and upholstered panel added to hide amplifier and battery. Custom Mercury head emblem added to panel. Spare wheel/tire match the rest. Original grill & bumpers, chrome & stainless is original, OEM or NOS and restored as necessary. ENGINE & RUNNING GEAR: This is a numbers matching car. Original V8 Flathead was re-built by H&H Flatheads in California. Originally 255CI bored to .125 over for 276CI. Holly 39 CFM 4 barrel carb with chrome air cleaner; Edelbrock polished aluminum heads & intake manifold; Fenton polished duel exhausts; 100 AMP chrome alternator; power steering using the stock column; chrome pulleys & AC pump. Chrome radiator support-pretty much all chrome or polished under the hood! New custom Walker 3 core radiator keeps it cool and looks like original. Electric fan with manual override; new Ron Francis wiring throughout for 12V (reducer for 6V used for fuel gauge) with a master fuse that cuts all power when removed, built in connector for a trickle charger. JAMCO front end suspension & power front disc brakes, stock rear drum brakes. MSD Billet Ready Distributor & Blaster II Coil. Original 3 speed transmission on the column without overdrive has been gone through and new driveline installed that is "beefier" than original. Dana 44 rear end with 3.91:1 gear ratio. This car runs great and sounds great!! It's the only classic car I've owned that doesn't leak anything. OTHER: Chrome wheels & baby moons with Coker wide white radial tires (matching spare); stainless door handle guards, Halibrand stainless tail pipe deflectors w/Mercury head, curb buffers & chrome gas door trim. Blue Dot tail lights. At the time of this posting the mileage is under 1000 miles since restoration, stored in a heated garage, and trailered any long distances. It was featured in a 1998 story in 1949-1950-1951 Ford Mercury Owners Magazine prior to my restoration; this will be included for it's history plus an Owner's Manual and other literature I have accumulated. Also comes with 2 car covers-1 for indoor, 1 for outdoor. I doubt you can find another 1950 Mercury in this condition that is un-chopped, not shaved and essentially stock. It has won many awards for Best of Show and Best Engine; including a Best Engine at Reno's Hot August Nights (pretty good for a flathead)! Appraised in 2010 for $70,000

1951 Mercury Custom Coupe "Gray Ghost" This Mercury was built many years ago and I bought this car a while ago from my long time antique car mentor who owned it for a very long time. It survives exactly as it was when originally customized and has been featured in print over the years. Excellent, powerful cruiser that is beautiful and fun to drive. Chopped 6" Lowered 4" Frenched headlights Shaved door & trunk handles with remote solenoids 1953 Chevy grille w/ extra teeth 1954 Mercury taillights Shaved hood with 132 punched louvers 460 Lincoln engine C6 transmission with Lokar Shifter Chevelle subframe Power steering, brakes, windows, & antenna Custom built steering wheel from Van Nuys, CA using House of Kolor candy paint from silver to burgandy Tilt Lincoln steering Air conditioning CD player/iPod ready, amp New Coker radial wide whitewalls Fender skirts 1978 Mercury interior in gray & red Pertronix Electronic Ignition Spyder caps (also can include spinner caps car wore years ago) Caddy air cleaner Lake pipes New rear springs Lots of extra parts Also have 1953 Buick side chrome pieces that were extended for this car but never finished, as well as rear window trim package. Will include with car. Body is in great condition and has always been garaged. Paint is gray and has a few, typical road chips but no dings or dents. If next owner wanted to change, the gray color would make an easy background for a two-tone paint job with the Buick chrome or ???? Car is not 100% flawless with many years behind her, but is in great shape and has always been a "get-in-and-go" car. I don't know of anything mechanically the car needs. I'm selling off several of my prize cars (including a real 1932 Ford Coupe) to built a bigger garage for collection. Happy to send any extra pictures, videos or set up a time to inspect and drive. I can work with you on delivery or setting up for a shipper. Dave 828-885-8311 or cell at 828-553-3217. Please call both numbers. I live in mountains and cell phone doesn't always work.

Extreme Kustoms Extreme Cruiser Air Ride Frame for 49 50 51 Mercury Car or Woody This frame has our Extreme Cruiser Air Ride Suspension front and rear. It will lay frame and lift up 7"or more, Drive smother, Handle better and Stop better than your Mercury did when it was new !!!!All this plus without having to cut up your rear seat and whole trunk floor pans except for a small mod to the trunk pan directly over the third member the size of a large cake pan. This is an old and well proven design of ours as we have been installing this setup for about 2 decades and is under many high & low dollar Cars and even in a few Woody's In the front we install our Extreme Cruiser Ball Jointed A-arm Kit, Slam Specialties SS6 Air Bags, Dropped Spindles, 10.5" Disk Brake kit, New Gas Shocks and our Cruiser Tie Rod setup. We also Gusseted the outer spring pocket area to prevent cracking. Our Ball jointed A-arms are designed for Air Suspension so they have a very stable Camber & Caster Track Cycle so your tires do not camber stupidly in like most MII set up or Bump Steer due to a Steering Rack In the rear we installed our 2 Link Air Ride Suspension kit, Universal Air Air House II 5.75" Air Bags and new Gas Shocks. We also have Gusseted the inside of the rear frame and installed large C notches. Our rear suspension set up uses 2 large front pivot flexable busting and 4 flexable rear axle mounting busting resulting is more than ample side to side flex plus an quitter & smoother ride than most 4 Bar setups. Our long pan hard bar almost completely has no rear end moment with 1/4" total movement and that less the stock springs as they flex more than that while you are cornering We also box the frame's main rails with 1/8" thick steel plate so there is no frame flex. We also media blast the frame two times. First before we start the mods and when finished we do it again so its clean and ready for paint Note; The pics attached are of this frame and is a work in progress so it's about 80% finished but will be soon and will be posting newer pics !!!! The Buy it Now price does not include a Frame Core Charge of $800.00 and will be added to the price if you do not have a frame to exchange !!!! Please contact us before hitting the Buy it Now button as we have many other options avail and do have it listed for sell direct !!!! We also offer our Extreme Cruiser Air Ride kits here on E-bay so you can build your own and save some money !!!! Tech questions and Support are welcome so please call Extreme Kustoms @ 951 678-3520

RARE 1950 Mercury two-door sedan, ALL ORIGINAL, in outstanding condition. Mercury’s from 1949-1951 are often referred as the third generations who were made popular from films such as Rebel Without a Cause (1955) American Graffiti (1973) Grease (1978) and more. In the James Dean film “Rebel without a Cause” he drove a Black Mercury that was hopped-up portraying the cool teenagers of the era. His significant enactments and his custom Mercury became legendary symbols of the disaffected youth culture of that time; the car has become one of the most famous movie cars in history. This car has had three owners, the last owning it for 30+ years. (Names of the 3 owners can be made available to the buyer.) The car has been stored in heated and air conditioned garage and is rust free, in excellent condition. It starts easily, runs well and sounds great. Two door, manual transmission, 8 cylinder, 37,400 miles. We are located in southwest Michigan, between Kalamazoo, MI and South Bend, IN. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping costs. This body-on restoration was a 3 year project completed in early 2010 and started with probably the most pristine stock body you can find. No rust anywhere; photos of under carriage show why a body-off wasn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t needed. The car hadn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t been re-painted or re-upholstered since 1964. Originally a California car, the second owner in Washington bought it in 1965, gave it to his son in 1975 who sold it to me in 2000 with 99,900 original miles on it. Always garage stored, very little driving in rain. Most of the interior stainless trim had been removed during re-upholstery in 1964 and I spent years acquiring it again. Body is still stock with few modifications; engine %26 running gear mostly stock with re-builds and a few changes for safety %26 convenience and a few \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"WOWS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". Options available from factory but not on car were found and added.BODY %26 INTERIOR: Stock 1950 Mercury 8 Coupe with 1951 fender skirts. Re-painted in 1966 Corvette Trophy Blue with some Pearl added. Detailed pin striping by Jr. Nelson both inside %26 outside. Glove box is shallow to allow room for the Vintage Air heat/AC ductwork and is wired to plug in an iPod to run off radio and charge. Alpine iDA X100 radio is AM/FM %26 iPod, displays playlists %26 content playing. 6 speakers %26 amplifier make a terrific sound. Original radio %26 clock remain but are not working (radio face only). Original dash/gauges but only the speedometer %26 fuel gauge wired to work. Vintage style Autometer gauges added for oil pressure, voltage, tach, and water temp gauges for both left %26 right pumps. OEM steering wheel reconditioned and colored to match accent trim %26 dash. Front %26 side window frames changed to chrome %26 opening rear quarter windows. All new seals. Trunk interior finished same as interior with upholstered panel added to hide amplifier %26 battery. Custom Mercury head added to panel. Spare wheel/tire match the rest. Original grill %26 bumpers, most of chrome %26 stainless is original and restored as necessary.ENGINE %26 RUNNING GEAR: This is a numbers matching car. Original V8 Flathead was re-built by H%26H Flatheads in California. Originally 255CI bored to .125 over for 276CI. Holly 39 CFM 4 barrel carb w/chrome air cleaner; Edelbrock polished aluminum heads %26 intake manifold; Fenton polished dual exhausts; 100 AMP chrome alternator; power steering using stock column; chrome pulleys %26 A/C pump. Chrome radiator support-pretty much all chrome or polished under the hood! New custom Walker 3 core radiator keeps it cool and looks like original. Electric fan with manual override; new Ron Francis wiring throughout for 12V (reducer for 6V for fuel gauge used) with a master fuse when removed cuts all power, built in connector for a trickle charger. JAMCO front end suspension %26 power front disc brakes, stock rear drum brakes. MSD Billet Ready Distributer %26 Blaster II Coil. Original 3 speed transmission on the column without overdrive has been gone through %26 new driveline installed that is \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"beefier\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" than original. This car runs great %26 sounds great!! I have 2 other classic cars and this is the only one I have never seen anything leak!!OTHER: Chrome wheels %26 baby moons with Coker wide white radial tires (spare matches); stainless door handle guards, Halibrand tail pipe deflectors w/Mercury head, curb buffers %26 chrome gas cap trim. Blue Dot tail lights. At the time of this posting there are only 895 miles on it since restoration. This car was featured in a 1998 story in 1949-1950-1951 Ford Mercury Owners Magazine and will be included for it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s history plus the Owner\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Manual and other literature I have accumulated. I doubt you can find another 1950 Mercury in this condition that is un-chopped, not shaved and essentially stock. It has won many awards for Best of Show and Best Engine, including a Best Engine at Reno\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Hot August Nights (pretty good for a Flathead)! Appraised in 2010 for $65,000. I will consider very serious offers only. No trades as I need to downsize and have 2 other cars; another is also for sale (want to keep one).Funds in USD only. $2,000 non-refundable deposit required with balance paid within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for shipping %26 costs. I will assist in preparation %26 loading. PayPal preferred for deposit. Clear Washington Title in my name. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

THIS RADICAL KUSTOM HARDTOP HAS BEEN IN MAGAZINES & CAR SHOWS SINCE 1958 ! This 1947 Ford was radically customized over a 2 year build period between 1955 1957 FIRST INDRODUCED ON THE 1958 show circuit As “The Gooney Bird” This 1947 Ford was radically customized between 1955-1957 in upstate New York by Ronlyn Collision. This Ford was Named after the historical Douglas C47/ DC-3 used in WW2 and Korean War known as “The Gooney Bird”, by the pilots who fly them, the name was given to the car by the owner who was a member of the U.S. Air force during the Korean War, he also was responsible for grafted on the 1951 Crown Victoria top at his shop Ronlyn Collision. The car now official known as “The Gooney Bird” competed and WON FIRST PLACE in its class at the very First Clutch Artist AUTO-RAMA in Buffalo New York , July 12-13 1958. The car has been featured in late 50’s and early 60’s Car Craft and Hotrod Magazines as well as in the 1958 NYC NAPA Calendar. “The Gooney Bird” was featured in Car Craft magazine while being shown at the 1962 Buffalo New York Autorama show at the Masten Ave Armory, by the time that show was held the car had already won 6- 1st place trophies in it’s radical hardtop class, it is considered one of the most significant historical customs ever built in the 1950’s to still be fully 100% road worthy and operational today. This 1947 Ford is a true example of an all steel old school 1950’s kustom. I HAVE INCLUDED A COUPLE OF SPECIAL HISTORICAL PHOTOS, WHEN THE CAR WAS FIRST BUILT IT WAS CAMPAIGNED ON THE SHOW CIRCUIT IN ORANGE AND ONE OF THESE SHOTS WAS COLORIZED TO ILLUSTRATE THAT. The Famous George Barris Crest: The story go’s that When Barris first saw “the Gooney Bird” sometime in 1997 while in Buffalo NY it had just undergone a frame off restoration and was still being prep for paint, his initial instinct was that his brother Sam had either built this 1947 Ford or somehow had a hand in building it, when he realized that Sam hadn’t built the car he wanted to badge this 1947 Ford Coupe with his logo Crests stating that it is a true example of a traditional historical 1950’s custom that he and Sam would have built and deserved to ware the famous Barris Crest, this is the ultimate endorsement by the King of custom cars., George also signed his name to the dash. “The Gooney Bird” has worn those famous Barris Crest ever since that time. The car was frame off restored between 1996- 1997, most of the original lead from the 1955/57 build was removed during this time, the body was soda blasted and a fresh engine was installed, the car had ran a Buick Nailhead engine since the 1950’s, that engine was replaced with a big block Oldsmobile engine which remained in the car until 2009 when the 2002 Ford GT 4.6 engine & trans was installed. 57 years after its original build the body lines are still beautiful and the car runs flawlessly. After being taken out of the public eye for many years “The Gooney Bird” showed up on the show circuit again in 2000 and went on to take second in its class at the 2000 Detroit Autorama, it’s also on the 2004 December cover of KKOA magazine. It won a Preservation Award at the 2009 -6th annual Ink–n-Iron show held at the Queen Mary in Long Beach California then it took 2nd place “Post War Custom” in 2010 at the Long Beach Motorama. Was chosen Best Custom award at the 2011 West Coast Kustoms “Cruisin Nationals” Santa Maria show by Rodz Deluxe for its workmanship. In 2012 Car Kulture De Luxe did a beautiful 3 page color center fold spread on the car. In July of 2014 the car won The Crown Of Lake Arrowhead for best Kustom car on the mountain. Here is a overview of the vehicle; all Items highlighted in RED were upgraded on the car since 2009.
