It runs and drives great. 2995 Syclones were built in 1991, and 3 in 1992. 113 (estimated 31 returned) were reported as Export Sales including a subset now referred to as the Saudi Syclones — a small number were delivered to Saudi Arabia and modified with a metric dash cluster, leaded fuel chip, and a resonator in place of the catalytic converter. This is my Fully Built GMC Syclone. This truck has 39k original miles, never hit, no rust or rot and has a fully built drivetrain with 1500 miles on it. This is a very fast truck, it is not a toy or a budget build. This truck runs on E85 and uses a Bigstuff FMU. It starts, runs and cruises like a stock truck and races what ever you choose. This truck runs super clean on E85, no fumes it is awesome. The truck makes 650 wheel horsepower proven on an all wheel dyno. This truck will run deep in the 10's all day long and will live to do it over and over again. This truck has big money in it and took 3 years to build, all the best parts totaling close to double my asking price which I will discuss in detail upon buyers request. The truck uses a 4L80 trans with TCI trans controller and a Circle D Billet triple disc lockup converter. It has fully ported Vortec heads with all top quality head components, Stainless valves Vitron seals, machined Locks and race retainers etc. the Block has 4 bolt splay caps, Nitrided Scat crank, Eagle rods, SRP forged Aluminum pistons, all ARP head studs and main studs, custom stainless headers, RPM aluminum valve covers, fully balanced etc. Magna fuel 725 pump and all -10 and -12 and -8 braided fuel lines with AN fittings, custom fuel rails and regulator. Custom grind roller cam by Comp cams. Carb intake converted to fuel injection etc etc etc. truck sits on 4 new drag radials with perfect polished original wheels and rides on Caltrac suspension including monoleafs and Caltrac bars with adjustable QA1 shocks. Trans cooler with thermo controlled fan and engine oil cooler as well. MSD BIllet distributor with MSD coil and digital 6 plus ignition with 2 step. All black, all business and packed with Professional Grade performance hardware, this prim and polished pickup backs turbocharged V6 power with factory all-wheel drive and a tuned sport suspension! BODYWORK/TRIM Feeling especially whimsical, and privy to leftover parts from its empire of mass transportation appliances, GM set the automotive marketplace on its ear with a curve ball known as 'the 1991 Syclone'. But, unfortunately, the corporation's own bureaucracy killed the world-beating truck almost as fast as it hit dealerships, limiting production to 2,995 units. This Syclone's wet-looking coat of GM code 19 Black highlights original sheetmetal that's both crisp and sharp. The truck's vertical panels center straight surfaces in even gaps, showing no signs of damage or accident repairs. And, topped by great looking, factory-correct trim, the finish on those panels is every bit as glossy as it is deep. ENGINE Speaking of survivors, and GM's core strengths, if anyone ever creates an ultimate engine survivors list the corporation's stalwart Vortec 4300 V6 will surely be at the top. Introduced in 1985, that rugged powerplant has been a mainstay in most of the general's light truck offerings and, in massively re-engineered EcoTec3 guise, continues as the company's entry-level lump for the current Silverado and Sierra. For Syclone duty, the LB4 4300 saw significant mechanical upgrades that included better pistons, freer intake and exhaust manifolds, a Mitsubishi TD06-17C turbocharger, a Garrett water/air intercooler and a 48mm twin-bore throttle body that was borrowed from Chevrolet's 5.7 liter V8. All those carefully calculated tweaks and improvements added up to a very impressive 280 horsepower and 350 lb./ft. of V8-slaying torque. And the truck's strip-scorching times would not only best GM's own Camaro and Corvette, but also catapult it to the forefront of '90s performance!
