1951 Ford Deluxe CoupeProfessional, full mechanical and cosmetic restoration , tastefully customized into an adult's classic "Shoebox".The original 239 CI V8 engine has been retained, rebuilt and updated. The detailed engine breathes through an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a Holley 4 barrl carburetor, and exits through Fenton tubular steel headers, fed into Cherry Bomb straight through mufflers. Wiring is by "Haywire" and the electrical system has been converted to dependable 12 volts powered by an alternator. A custom, oversized radiator with special catch tank insures cool running in any climate. The body has been taken down to bare metal, nosed and decked, and given a show quality dark blue paintjob, including the engine compartment. Two inch "Fatman drop spindles lower the front end, and lower blocks drop the rear an equivalent amount. Chrome wheels with unadorned Baby Moon hubcaps, and custom head and taillights complement the exterior appearance. The interior features a custom engine turned dash, with special engine gauges, including termperature gauges for each cylinder bank. Fronat and rear seats, door and side panels and headliner are upholstered in white naughahyde, with blue accent piping on the seats. The trunk is solenoid controlled and fully upholstered to match the interior carpet and seat materials. This is a go anywhere car, comfortable, and with overdrive, economical to operate at sustained highway speeds without drawing undue attention to its special nature.
