Red Exterior with Black Interior- car originally equipped with a 302 and now has the Crites parts mounts stands to set a 385 series down in the frame rails. This sale also includes the Crites Howe aluminum radiator. The Rob MC fuel sending unit with return line provision and pressure regulator. It has the Boyd Butler suspension parts on the front end. Shelby drop camber correction and bumpsteer kit installed. New lower control arms with the bigger Granada disc brakes intalled. New adjustable triangulated 4 link new nodular 9 Inch with nodular support detroit locker with new Richmond 3.89 gearson the new 31 spline axles with new disc brakes on the rear. I do have a brake clutch assembly for the car to convert it to manual if buyer wants them. NIB Crites headers to fit a 385 block into this body. New Koni front shocks installed inside new big block road race springs. The car is set up for AC and I have both AC units for the SB and the BB to include condensors for both.. Custom subframe connectors welded in and also tied to the transmission stubs for better rigidity. Torque boxes have been rewelded solid for piece of mind.. At this point An engine and transmission needs set in and driven to settle in the all new suspension. Then tires and rims can be ordered as then you will find the ride height at that time. Brakes fuel and translines need plumbed. Stock lines are still intact. It sits on good rollers that hold air right now.. This car was built to take a 650 plus horse 521 stroker and the suspension was built to put that power to the ground. In a corner. Flat out. On the street or track. Front bench seat. B and M floor shifter in car. Interior is fairly clean and well kept. It has a seat cover on the bench. Some of the stitching is gone but the material is still all intact. For sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1957 Ford Custom 70D 2-Door Business Sedan. This unique vehicle has undergone a full frame-on Resto-Mod restoration starting with a clean, solid, low mileage car from Washington. The Business Coupe had the same exterior styling of the 2-Door sedan but was void of a back seat and came stripped of any options including radio or clock. Only 6,088 of these business sedans were made in 1957 compared to almost 117,000 2-Door sedans. In the days before the internet hardworking salesman would bring products to you for demonstration. These door to door salesmen needed additional room for their wares whether they be Stanley Home Products or Electrolux Vacuum cleaners. This vehicle has been meticulously restored using OEM and New Old Stock Parts. Power is delivered from a stock-appearance 312 Cubic Inch V8 with 3 deuces (Edelbrock Carbs and Offenhauser Intake Manifold) mated with a T-5 Transmission. Cooling is no problem thanks to a Griffin Aluminum radiator with custom made shroud. New mechanical parts include Pertronix Ignition, Electric Fuel Pump, All new Painless wiring, gas tank, Granada front disc brakes and Optima Redtop battery mounted in the trunk. No expense was spared in brining this old girl back to life. The Heavy Duty Sway Bars (Front and Rear) are new and the entire front suspension was rebuilt with Polyurethane Bushings. As you open up the door of this Ford you are drawn back in time by the Original-Styled vinyl and cloth gray interior, German square weave carpeting New Old Stock steering wheel, floor shifter with a gray and black slag glass shift knob from Moon Eyes. The interior is finished with the same degree of detail as the rest of the car. The dash and all gauges were meticulously restored and the radio and clock delete covers were polished. The CD Stereo is neatly tucked away in the glove box and is ready to play your 1950%26acirc;??s tunes as you cruise around in style. The exterior of this car is sure to grab your attention. Keeping with the same nostalgic style the exterior sports a beautiful Woodsmoke Gray paint job accented by freshly replated chrome and chrome-plated stainless trim.
