Henry Ford’s 1932 V-8 roadster set the bar for the hot-rodding crowd with its balance of simplicity and timeless roadster styling, but purists have long looked questionably at the relatively common practice of swapping out the classic flathead V-8 for powerplants sourced from other manufacturers. But the Ford-only contingent will certainly appreciate this custom-built 1932 roadster, which the builder made sure would be 100-percent Blue Oval in nature, a decision that earned the car the Goodguys Builder's Choice Ford-in-a-Ford Award in 2012. Based on a new Dearborn Deuce body and a TCI Engineering chassis, it incorporates a 4.6L version of Ford’s V-8 engine mated to a Ford automatic transmission with overdrive. Complementing this 21st-century drivetrain is equally up-to-date independent front and rear suspension using chromed coilover shock absorbers at all four corners and incorporating power steering and high-performance four-wheel disc brakes. Body-painted wheels with chrome wires, center caps and trim rings are fitted with staggered-sized radial tires for a slick nose-down attitude in classic Deuce style. The roadster’s classic shape positively shines in Dark Blue Metallic paint, which is matched with a contrasting Buttermilk interior featuring sharp leather upholstery. Carefully chosen upgrades include air and heat, electronic door poppers, a chromed Ididit tilting column with custom steering wheel, Kenwood sound and a display screen for the car’s rear-mounted backup camera. Power windows and a foldable soft top make cruising a pleasure in practically any conditions, good news for the owner who loves to drive, and drive often. RB Collection is very pleased to offer this incredible 1932 Ford “Dearborn Deuce” roadster, built by Downs Manufacturing of Wyoming, Michigan in 2006/2007. Originally commissioned by an RB Collection client, this car was custom built to an extremely high standard in the Downs workshops using the highest quality components and materials available. The fiberglass body is beautifully constructed with outstanding fit and finish, with a specially-built, louvered three-piece steel hood. The gorgeous red-orange paint is a DuPont shade called Red Hot Meltdown, and presents today in virtually flawless condition. Shaved exterior handles are operated via a Dakota Digital 10 function keyless remote system that operates power windows, doors, and the power trunk lid. Breaking from modern practice, this Ford is properly powered by a Ford V8. In this case, a 351W “Blue Oval Intimidator” crate engine, fitted with Vintage Air A/C, Holley 4bbl and March Performance serpentine drive, making a stout 400 horsepower. The block is painted to match the body, and mated to a fully detailed Ford AOD automatic transmission, which feeds power back through a Ford 9” rear with 3.70 gears and disc brakes.Pop open the door using the remote power door opener, and you are greeted to a clean and stylish interior. The seats and door panels are trimmed in very high quality Camel-colored leather and the beautiful tan carpets are bound in matching material and protected by embossed floor mats. Every component used was of the highest quality, and this car has completed just over 840 miles since its completion. Performance is impressive and it drives beautifully. It remains absolutely fresh, tight and ready for enjoyment.***This car was commissioned by a passionate enthusiast who spared no expense on the components or the build quality and it still presents in virtually new condition. The styling combines the proportions and simplicity of a classic Highboy roadster, with period details such as the round Pontiac tail lights, in combination with modern materials and finishes. Such is the quality of this incredible car that is was selected by Ford Motor Company as the promotional car for the 75th Anniversary of the 1932 Ford, where it was driven on the show field by Ford CEO Alan Mulally. It was also featured by Dennis Gage on the “My Classic Car” television show, as well as in Goodguys Magazine. It is an exceptional car that cannot be recreated at this price. 1932 Dearborn Deuce convertible with only 1800 miles since completed in 2010. The Dearborn Deuce convertible is an all-steel roadster body redesigned around an amazing, fully disappearing top assembly. Several body design changes were necessary in order to package this top mechanism in a 32 roadster but also preserving the original look of the standard vintage '32 roadster body. Look closely and you will see the doors have been stretched 3" rearward to meet the new top. They are also reshaped at their front edge to bring the side glass forward. The cowl was reworked to accept a specially designed windshield that meets the side glass. The new side glass is curved and it has been tooled exclusively for this car. An opening "tulip panel" behind the seats stores the entire top assembly completely out of sight. The cockpit was deepened by stealing 2 1/2" from the tulip panel allowing you to sit back further in the cockpit and have more legroom. The outer dimensions of the body, and even the stock trunk lid , have remained bone stock. The hood (Rootlieb), fenders(Brookville) and running boards (Bob Drake) are all steel as well. The chassis also comes from Dearborn Deuce with complete chrome 4" Super Bell axle, Wilwood front disk brakes, Unisteer rack and pinion steering and 9" Ford rear end with drum brakes and coil over suspension. The drivetrain was built using a brand new GM 350 crate engine with edelbrock aluminum intake and three Stromberg 97 carbs that have been completely rebuilt. A brand new 700R automatic overdrive was utilized as well. This car also features power windows, Dakota digital dash, Vintage heat and air conditioning, remote doors, AM/FM/CD radio (mounted behind the seat with remote control sitting on the center of the front floor at your fingertips) and a Haartz cloth convertible top with glass rear window. The Viper Red paint is excellent with no dings, dents or scratches. The body and alignment are laser straight and all chrome shines brightly. The custom interior looks beautiful in the car which uses 60 Chevy inserts in the seat, door panels and trunk. It looks even better in person. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. If you see this car, you will want it. All reasonable offers will be considered. Car was professionally built using quality components, however as most used cars on Ebay, it is being sold as is, with no warranty whatsoever.

Freshly built, this ALL STEEL '32 wears its sinister black paint job like a tuxedo and skillfully embraces tradition while creating a minimalist rod for the 21st century. Black paint on a '32 is nothing new, but the incredible finish on this roadster definitely gives it a slick high-tech look. The body is a steel Dearborn Deuce, which means it comes out of the box better than new. It was finished so recently that you can still smell the fresh paint, so it's poised to start collecting trophies and tearing up pavement right away. The body was finished to an exceptionally high standard, particularly since it's wearing black, and it's so smooth and clean that it looks like it will slip through the air without a ripple. The body moldings are crisp and the gaps are laser-sharp. The painted grille shell has a trick look that shows someone was thinking carefully about how it would look before a drop of paint was sprayed, and unnecessary stuff like door handles and hinges were left off the build sheet. Bright work consists of a stainless grille insert, old-school headlights, and the cut-down windshield frame. Out back, '39 Ford taillights are LED units for a high-tech look, but beyond that, it's pure traditional Ford roadster. The interior is even more impressive than the bodywork, with bright red leather seats that echo the slick, contemporary look with spectacular stitchcraft that's really impressive. A custom bench in a roadster is the best way to make it feel spacious and it features pleated stitching that looks like it cost a fortune. Custom door panels were made to match, and all the materials are first-rate. A 1940 Ford steering wheel on top of a custom tilt column gives it an old-school look, and the instruments are neatly arrayed on the dash. This is a modern rod, so it also includes such niceties as Vintage Air A/C and remote door poppers. A column shifter manages the TH350 3-speed automatic that's probably overkill for this lightweight flyer and with a tilt wheel and billet pedals, it's easy to get comfortable. More red carpets and leather in the trunk keep things simple, and even with the gas tank back there, there's plenty of room for long cruises. As with the rest of the car, the 350 cubic inch crate motor is fresh and has just over 1500 miles on it today. There's no need to reinvent the wheel here, so it sticks to the basics with a 4-barrel intake manifold and carb, plus an HEI ignition system. Everything between the firewall and radiator is new, including the radiator itself, so it runs beautifully and has been dressed to show off with a few chrome bits and a set of beautiful long-tube headers with a ceramic coating. The front end is pure tradition, with a dropped I-beam and hairpins, while the 9-inch rear end hangs off a 4-link setup, all of which give this Ford a traditional look that still works rather well. The exhaust system is fully customized, the frame is finished as well as the bodywork, and there's a disc brake at each corner. Staggered Torque Thrust wheels wear fat Goodyear performance radials instead of skinnies and slicks, with 15s up front and 17s out back. Not radical, but beautifully built and definitely gorgeous, this '32 roadster is a fresh build that'll be impressive for years to come. Saleen recently painted and assembled the classic Ford GT sports car at this facility. Last fall, Ford announced plans to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the 1932 Ford, noted for the advanced styling by Edsel Ford, Henry’s son, and the performance of the first mass-produced V8 engine, the Ford “flathead.” Although in production for only a single model year, the Deuce has become an American icon as the quintessential hot rod. In addition to numerous celebrations and events planned for the coming year, Ford officially licensed DSR to produce 100 Deuce roadsters to commemorate the anniversary. The Ford 75th Anniversary Deuce is based on the highly acclaimed and award-winning Dearborn Deuce TM roadster that combines the beauty of Ford’s original highboy design with contemporary technology. The first Anniversary Deuce was actually built for Edsel Ford II, Edsel’s grandson, and gifted to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to sell at January’s Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., where the roadster brought $330,000 for the charity. Fred Blum, DSR’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expects Anniversary Deuces to roll down the Saleen assembly line by April 1 and that’s “no April Fools joke.” The remaining 99 Ford 75th Anniversary Deuces, including ten Edsel Ford II-signature models, are currently being sold through Ford Racing Performance and select Ford dealers starting at $165,000.
