The car was originally built for the IMSA Firestone Firehawk showroom stock series where it was driven to 4 wins by PJ Jones son of Indy 500 winner Parnelli Jones. This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. In 1980, both front and rear bumper covers were restyled with integrated aerodynamic spoilers that resulted in a significant reduction in drag and increased radiator air flow. The hood was also restyled. The crossed-flag emblems disappeared from the front fenders and were revised to a more elongated style on the nose and fuel door. 1980 was also the last year for the carbureted engine. Tilt the hood forward and you will see the original SBC 350 with a 4 barrel carburetor sitting on top. Turn the key and it comes to life and sounds absolutely amazing. It is relatively quiet until you hit the gas and then she comes roaring to life. The 350 CID engine is mated to a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic. Keeping everything moving down the road is a set of Firestone Indy 500 Firehawk Tires. The t-tops are in excellent shape; the seals are not hard or dried out. The original transport bag is even included so when you go topless you can securely store them in the rear cargo area. The interior is in decent shape with the only thing missing is the radio. The AC is their but does not work. Options include AC, T-tops, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl and Radial Tires.
