Buy with confidence – this might just be one of the best finds on Classic Cars!HISTORY OF THE DESOTO ADVENTURER:As an automotive swan song, it is hard to imagine anything more impressive than the 1960 DeSoto Adventurer. It was built in an era when designers had free rein to explore the limits of what their draft pencils and fertile imaginations could conceive, unrestricted by the restraints of corporate average fuel economy. In today’s world of plastic coated compacts, it is easy to forget just how big the full-size cars of 50 years ago actually were.Weighing in at just under 2-tons, there was nothing subtle about this graceful, four-door hardtop, with 18 feet of sculpted sheet metal flowing liquid like from the leading edge of a massive chrome grill to the tips of the twin tail fins. This 1960 DeSoto Adventurer four door Hardtop was priced at $3,727.00. The highest priced DeSoto for 1960. The Fireflite Four Door Sedan was the lowest at $3,017.00. Engine performance was down on the 1960 DeSoto's but the Fins were still flying high. Please contact John Sherman at 314-291-7000 or [email protected] with any questions. Also available via cell at 314-704-2040 for a complete walk around description of the car. Ad provided by ClassicCars.com
1960 Desoto Adventurer two door hard top. Came from a private Desoto collection in Spencer Iowa. Underwent a frame on restoration including stripping the old paint down to the bare metal and refinished at high level in Raven black. Original refreshed drive train, interior which is flawless. Everything works including the original radio. This low mileage, rare example of Desotos top of the line model has got to be the nicest in existence. Ad provided by ClassicCars.com
