I have for sale my 1986 military m1008 one ton and a quarter chevy diesel. The truck has 44,000 original miles, I got it with just under 40,000 a year ago. The truck runs and drives great and only has seen one winter since it was decommissioned from the military, and I only drove it when I couldn't get my car out of the driveway. The truck has no body rot and most of the paint is still on the frame, and the paint is relatively new(painted a month or two ago). I just had the seat reupholstered last week. I have never hauled anything with/ in the truck, I used it as a commuter vehicle 17-19 mpg. Not perfect(dent here or there but good shape/great shape for the year), I was told that the military swapped out the 6.2 for the 6.5 before it was decommissioned.
