Selling a 1957 Chevy 3100 Pick Up. Great running with a strong motor and newer rebuilt automatic transmission. Car does freeway speeds no problem. Lots done to the truck by previous owner and myself, but just not getting used like it should here in San Francisco and hate seeing it sit in my garage. Now is the time for me to pass to someone else and use the funds for other projects. Here are the details:ENGINE AND BODY 1957 Chevy 3100 small window/shortbed pick up Clean title in my name and registration paid until December 2014 Chevy 350 V8 rebuilt by previous owner (not sure about mileage...but I have only put about 2000 miles since I bought it in 2006. What can you say, San Francisco is a pretty small city) Rebuilt THM 400 automatic transmission Just had new top end done with new head gaskets, rebuilt cylinder heads, valve guides, hoses, plugs, etc. New big fan and fan shroud helps this truck run without getting hot. New Edelbrock intake manifold with new thermostat and carb gaskets (2 barrel carbs) New Bosch alternator and Bosch starter New engine motor mounts New brakes and hoses Newer exhaust front to rear Brand new (less than 100 miles) Firestone Destination LE tires all around (P215/70/R15 Fronts - P235/70/R15 Rears) New rear chrome bumper / Rechromed front bumber Newer chromed hood and fender ornaments and side step plates / door handles Fairly new chrome wheels all around New, larger engine fan All windows work well, all glass has no cracks, windshield does have some wiper blade scratches on passenger side Recent tune up with new spark plugs, timing checked, new serpentine belt, hoses, fluids New turn signal lenses and newer chromed headlight rings. Truck does NOT have power steering or disk brakes (drums all around) Paint looks good from 10 feet...but there are scratches and touch ups around truck and in bed (I used it to move motorcycles and parts...it got used as a truck when working on the house).INTERIOR Bench seat gone through with new dense foam, springs fixed where needed and new upholstery Uncut original dash / gauges and speedo non op / dash lights work as well as interior cab light B%26M floor shifter Brand new under dash gauges (Volts/Water Temp/Oil Pressure) with copper lines New sound dampener and black molded carpet kit New kickplates with speakers built in. Just never got stereo put in New glove box insert New seat belts / sun visors / rearview mirror / headliner insert Aftermarket turn signals and horn on steering column Gas tank located behind bench seat in cabTHINGS TO NOTE: Though the radiator was gone through and repainted a few years ago, a new small leak has just appeared. Will work with buyer to remedy that. There are some minor rust areas under doors (common) and in the inner front fenders/wheel wells and inside cab edge (not cab corners) Doors still need some aligning and adjustingYou can see more detailed/larger photos through this flickr link (copy and paste into a browser):https://www.flickr.com/photos/126290382@N08/with/14931685296Here are a few videos of the truck starting (starts right up with the turn of the key) and engine running/idling. (copy and paste into a browser):http://youtu.be/47dK7gZ1pyMhttp://youtu.be/6S2UwJ6fOT0Please email me with any questions or if you are interested in seeing the truck. Please include your name and phone number and I will call you. Due to spamming, emails with no phone numbers/contact info will be ignored. Asking $12,000 or best offer. Thanks! For sale in our Detroit showroom is this head-turning 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. With the classic street rod look on the exterior, this slick pickup has plenty of new parts underneath to make it an absolute joy to cruise around in. Upon lifting the pinstriped hood, you\'ll be presented with a ZZ4 Summit Racing crate motor that breathes through Sanderson headers, cranking out 355 hp and 405 ft-lbs, and exits through dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, producing an unforgettable rumble! All that power is backed by a 700 R4 automatic transmission, so this truck will handle highway driving just as well as any new car on the road. Also under the hood is an oversized radiator with twin thermostat-controlled Flex A Lite electric fans, so this truck will stay cool, even in gridlock traffic at cruise nights and car shows. Rolling stock consists of BF Goodrich Radial TA\'s mounted on American Racing wheels. The interior is just as clean as the outside, consisting of two-tone gray tweed with vinyl trim, with the iconic bow tie logo embossed in the door panels, and even the headliner. The dash is fitted with late model Stewart Warner gauges and even Vintage Air, so while it has the sought-after vintage appearance, it is quite accommodating with enough luxuries to rival brand new cars. Options on this truck include: A/C, AM/FM radio, CD player, power steering, tilt wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, radial tires, and aluminum/alloy wheels. This Chevy is a fine example of a classic cruiser that has been tastefully modified to attract crowds wherever it is taken, so visit our Detroit showroom, or call (313)-982-3100 for more information. We\'ve got plenty of nice Advance Design Chevy pickups but if you want something truly remarkable that will stand out anywhere it goes, this 1948 Chevy 3100 absolutely delivers. Chopped, channeled, shaved, and expertly finished, it\'s a show-stopper that\'s also quite streetable thanks to a potent 383-inch stroker motor. Obviously the big thing here is the chopped top, which gives the vintage 3100 a long, low, sleek profile without diluting its rounded contours. The work is absolutely seamless and you can\'t find any evidence of the chop. The A-pillars were raked back and the doors fit beautifully inside the frames, so someone took the time to measure everything carefully before they started cutting. Note how the V-butted windshield\'s crease continues into the roof and how the windows are shaped like the originals, only smaller. All of that takes an artist\'s eye as well as the craftsman\'s touch. Wrapping it in Hugger Orange certainly helps gather attention, and the finish quality of the entire truck is worthy of shows at the top levels. The door handles and much of the trim were shaved, the running boards were finished to match the body, and there\'s a custom louvered rear roll pan out back to give it a unique look. On the other hand, stock features like the shiny chrome grille, squared-off taillight housings, and the tailgate all add period-perfect touches to this truck\'s look. And no vintage pickup built today is complete without a beautifully finished wood bed, with this one cleverly raised to clear the lowered suspension. The interior is an equally stylish blend of traditional and modified components, all accentuating the hot-rod appeal of this truck. It\'s surprisingly easy to climb into the chopped pickup and it\'s quite spacious inside, unlike many other chopped vehicles. The bench seat was lowered and wrapped in black vinyl for an appropriate look, and the door panels look quite stock. However, black carpets on the floor and a tilt column suggest comfort was a priority as well. The original gauges are gone and new Dolphin dials are in their place, but don\'t worry, the original dash wasn\'t hacked up to make that happen. Also note that the bench was modified to clear the trick B%26amp;M shifter in the center, and with the new lower seating position and leather-wrapped wheel, the truck feels more like a performance car than a vintage pickup out on the road. And performance is a big deal here with a 383 cubic inch Chevy small block under the hood. Built with a 4-barrel carburetor and a high-rise intake, aluminum heads, and a set of long-tube headers, it\'s a torque monster that flings the truck up to speed with effortless ease. The show-quality engine bay shows off lots of bright Hugger Orange paint, clean wheel wells, and careful attention to detail that\'s easy to service and looks great. It\'s backed by a quick-shifting automatic transmission and a heavy-duty rear end that still hangs on leaf springs, so if you need a pickup truck in a pinch, this one can do the job. The front suspension is a familiar late-model clip with power steering and power front disc brakes, and it sits exactly right thanks to staggered 245/40/18 front and 275/30/20 performance radials on Boss alloys. A stunning show-quality truck that knocks \'em dead wherever it goes, this awesome Chevy is one heck of a machine Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
