1993 Mercury Cougar XR7. Runs and drives. Brand new tires. Less than 10 miles on them. The car is licensed and insured right now and can be driven, but not recommended. Mechanic says it will need struts or idler arm bushings soon. Will need body work. Driver's side door and fender will need to be repaired, but are functional. Interior is in good condition. Needs stereo system because I'm keeping it . Paint is peeling on hood. Recently replaced rear window. Old one was knocked out by our city mowing ditches. They replaced it at a cost of more than $400.00. Interior brake light is coming on, but the brakes work fine. Told it is probably just bad and needs replaced. Engine rebuilt a few years ago and runs strong and the transmission fine. It will need a battery because I'm keeping it for my Ford Ranger. Call 618-548-8908
The Pontiac Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar. which shared its platform with another pony car. the Ford Mustang. In 1993-1995 (1995 non-California cars) Firebirds received a 3.4 L V6 with 160 hp. or a 5.7 L 275 hp LT1 V8. The LT1 was very similar to the one in the Corvette C4. only with 2 bolt mains. and a more restrictive intake/exhaust system. This Trans Am is equipped with the LT-1 engine.
