1982 Chevrolet El Camino Drag Car For Sale in our Chicago Showroom. This 82 \\\"Alky-mino\\\" has a spayed cap 4 bolt Chevy 400 punched to 406 CID, with full roller AFR 190cc heads, 4340 crank, Wiesco Flat Top pistons, 603-604 Chet Herbert camshaft, all ARP fastners, Moroso 8 quart oil pan, Holley carburetor, aluminum intake, and MSD Ignition with Deadenbear Delay Box. The exhaust flows through Hooker Competition Headers, that are Jethot coated, with 2\\\" pipes, through a 3\\\" Flowmaster dual exhaust system. There is an electric water bump, and two electric fans on the Griffin Aluminum Radiator. The transmission is is a Turbo 400 with a trans brake and a 5000 stall converter. The rear end is a Strange Ford 9\\\" center section, with 5.13 gears and 35 spline Moser axles. The rear suspension setup on this Chevy El Camino is a Competition Engineering 4 link, with QA1 Double Adjustable shocks. The rear Hoosier slicks are 14:32x15, mounted to Weld wheels. The front suspension has 2 inch drop spindles, with Moroso Trick Springs. Manual 4 wheel disc brakes with line lock. The battery has been relocted to the bed, and there is a 16 gallon fuel cell with a working gas gauge. The interior on this 82 El Camino have all been replaced. The roll cage is NHRA LEGAL. There are Autometer tach and gauges, Grant steering wheel mounted to the tilt column, Kirkey racing seat, B%26M Pro- Ratchet shifter with Shiftnoid and a reverse lockout, working power windows, remote sport side mirrors, newer carpet and headliner. The body has a fiberglass hood, front and rear bumpers, all NOS replaced trim and lenses, new door locks and handles, functioning tailgate, clean and clear glass, and beautiful red paint. This El Camino has never seen snow and was an Arizona car originally. The engine is fresh and broken in and the car is ready to go, and can be street driven. It has a full exhaust system. 1978 Chevy El Camino great project car, Chevy no longer makes this car and it's a classic. This elky needs alot of TLC- Has not been driven in about 3-4 years, been sitting since my dad passed away. Owner was a mechanic, the engine has been rebuilt twice since 1982 . Miles- over 200,000 I'm sure Needs: Exhaust, brakes, tires, windshield, all weather, interior stripping,leaks when it rains hard, battery, etc.. Painted original color in 1987, Black w/ Gold two-tone Has original stereo and A/C and sunroof, minimal rust. Dad just drove it around town.. been in the family for a long time.
