This 1973 Chevy Monte Carlo is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This 1973 Chevy Monte Carlo was the first redesign to come to the line since its inception in 1970. The biggest change was the addition of it being a pillared coupe and not a hard top anymore. Styling features included an egg-crate grill, emblems in the taillights and a new government mandated beefier bumper. The Front and rear anti roll bars which were only an option on the SS model a year earlier came standard on the 73.The basic all coil suspension was held over from the previous year. Under the hood was the ever reliable and not be messed with SBC 350. This one has had a set of custom chrome headers as well as a chrome accent on the fan shroud that adds a little class to this 73 Monte. One thing that you will notice is this 73 has the AC delete straight from the factory which was a very rare option. The split bench makes the interior on this 73 Chevy feel even roomier. Options include AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, and Wide White Walls. For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1968 Pontiac GTO. Every once in a while we come across a vehicle with an amazing back story that has to be shared and is an integral part of the car itself. This story starts off in 1968 when the original owner was returning from Vietnam and getting ready to purchase a car for him and his wife to enjoy. Saving up most of his combat pay and trading in a 65 Mustang, this special order GTO arrived at its Tucson dealership decked out in stunning red paint, white interior and top, 400CID, and 4 speed transmission. Moving forward life had taken its usual turns and the owners were blessed with a baby girl in 1970 and in 1973 traded the old GTO in on a brand new 1973 Monte Carlo. At the time there was no inclination that GTO%26acirc;??s would be collectible so a trade on a Monte Carlo didn%26acirc;??t seem like a bad idea. In 1987 after a relocation to Illinois the owner%26acirc;??s got the itch for a muscle car again and thought that it would be cool if they could find the GTO again. With the VIN information and dealership receipts long gone it was a hard search that landed in dead ends at the DMV, original dealership, and insurance company. Their luck turned around in 1991 when they went back to the dealership they bought their Monte Carlo from. Just for grins the owners wife asked their salesman if they had records going back to 1973, he thought that they did and told them to give him some time to research it and see what he could find. Low and behold the dealership came through and found the VIN number for the GTO they traded in almost 2 decades ago. After running the VIN the owner managed to get into contact with the gentleman that purchased the GTO from the dealership and found out that it lived only 80 miles away from their house and the guy takes it to car shows on the weekend. When he was asked if he would ever consider selling it he politely declined but told them that if he was ever in the market to sell they would obviously be first on the list. At last in 1996 they received a phone call that landed the GTO back into its original owner%26acirc;??s hands and has been with them for almost 20 more years now. In regards to the vehicle itself it has been featured in multiple calendars, magazines, and even a book called motor city muscle. This vehicle is sure to please even the most discerning of Pontiac heads with more than enough documentation to make this a very stout investment for any collector. This GTO is a real 242 matching numbers vehicle that has been kept incredibly well.
