1971 Ford Ranchero 1971 Ford 429 Cobra-Jet Ram-Air. (CJR) Ranchero GT partially dis-assembled \"resto-mod\" project vehicle. This is a low mileage ( ) numbers matching VIN and date correct 429 cobra jet ram-air GT Ranchero a Very Rare example of a seldom seen Muscle Pickup from my research less than 100 of these equipped as this one built more likely in the 50-75 production numbers. Originally equipped with the 429 Cobra Jet engine Ram Air \"Shaker\" air cleaner assembly air conditioning (been removed) power assist steering (ps pump is gone I planned on going with manual steering) remote engine oil cooler power front disc brakes GT package vacuum powered hide-a-way headlights wheel well trim originally a vinyl roof model (been removed but I am including the stainless roof trim) GT lettered finned aluminum rocker panel trim (1971 only option) high back bucket seats \"ribbon\" in dash 8000 rpm tachometer console with floor shift 3 speed C6 automatic.. I originally drove this as purchased for about 2 years untill I decided to hunt down and replacere-do the few missing rare options on it. So it was completeley dis-assembled and reassembled over a 6 year period. Completly undercoated floorpans and wheel wells (rust repair behind drivers seat was done at this time) all suspension parts were sandblasted and powdercoated stain black (9 inch rear end housing front control arms etc) once completed I drove for 2 days then it was T-boned on passenger side. Went to body shop for 4 months I then drove it regularily for 2 years until I decided to make the 429 into a 540 stroker. So I removed enginetrans disassembled engine sold the internals to finance the stroker build. While collecting the funds for the stroker build I started to remove body trim bumpers and started shaving marker lights gas door (the door handles and mirrors I had done the 1st time around) My business took a turn for the very worse late 2001 which back burnered the project and in 2004 closed shop and moved 600 miles N.E. and the project still sits.. This is a partially disassembled custom Resto-Mod project car engine and trans have beenremoved as well as the bumpers and trim.
