Up for sale is my 1965 Ford Galaxie Convertible. It was purchased from my friend, who’s father used it very sparingly prior to his passing. His son kept the car for 5 years and had the vehicle repainted approx. 5 years ago. His father was a machinist by trade and rebuilt the current 390 engine himself to factory standards. I can personally attest to the quality of this rebuild, which is a term that gets tossed around fairly casually in the classic car world. This rebuild was exemplary in quality. The oil stays cleaner between changes than any other car I’ve worked on. The car has about 20,000m since the complete engine rebuild. I have personally driven this car from Minnesota to Atlanta with no issues at all. No overheating at speed or idle, no smoking, no engine noises. Perfect highway car, 2700 RPM at 65 MPH. I have spent a great deal of time and money making sure this car performs flawlessly as a daily driver. I have completely flushed and sealed the fuel tank and installed a new fuel pump, Holley 750 carburetor with electric choke, and a quality fuel pressure regulator. As for ignition, all new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, Pertronix ignitor, and flamethrower coil. I also did a complete coolant flush and installed new belts and hoses. All new filters, power steering flush, overflow tank for radiator, new battery and dedicated transmission cooler. Just about every detail has been addressed to make this engine utterly reliable. The transmission is flawless and was rebuilt last month($1700) by a local specialist as the gears were beginning to slip(12 month warranty). The non-matching #’s 390 (car was 352 originally) exhausts through true duals with extra-long glass packs that are pretty quiet actually with just the right amount of sound. The car has new rear coil springs and isolaters, four new shocks, a new heavy-duty polygraphite front sway bar from Performance Suspension Technology and four new Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires and a brand new, unused spare tire. I replaced all four front ball joints in addition to adding brand new inner and outer tie rod ends, idler arm, and pitman arm. The front end was then aligned. It has great handling with all the suspension updates. It offers a confident driving experience. Cosmetically, this car outshines the competition, as seen in the pictures. It has a super glitzy, sparkling vibrant metallic candy green paint. This paint job is by far the number one compliment about the car by passerby. Everybody takes notice, everybody loves it. Get used to hearing, “what’s that color? I love it.” every time you take the car out. Old school Cragar SS wheels finish off the exterior. The stainless steel is in good condition and the bumpers in good driver shape. It has a brand new convertible top professionally installed. It’s a high quality Electron brand-name top, not a no-name cheap top from the internet. It cost $1435 installed, and the receipt and blank 5-year warranty card are included with the sale. Power top motor works perfect raising the top from the down position, but it needs a little helping hand for the first few inches to put it down. However, it’s very easy to operate with just one person using a couple fingers. As for the interior, it is a gold velour for the upholstery and door panels. It’s extremely beautiful and super comfortable for long drives. Plus, it stays pleasant in both cold and hot weather, unlike vinyl. It’s very tastefully and professionally done, and in excellent condition. I had new gold carpet installed with new gold seat belts and door sills. The dash is in perfect condition, no cracks or fading. All the gauges work and are clear and bright, all dash lights work perfectly. It has the original radio in the dash and a new aftermarket CD / IPOD. We replaced the frightening single-circuit master cylinder with a new power dual system running the 4-way drum brakes. The front brakes are completely new. The heater, windshield wipers, and all exterior lights work perfectly. It has a triple gauge pod mounted nicely under the dash to display oil pressure, engine temperature, and voltage. Tachometer on the steering column. Original FoMoCo windshield washer system—and it works great! Undercarriage looks good. Floors are solid as can be and there’s NO inch-thick layer of undercoating to hide rust issues. This car has nothing to hide. Au Natural, just the way it should be. The body has a few dings and a couple paint chips here and there. Not perfect, but so unbelievably nice. To conclude, this is a gorgeous car that’s ready to own, enjoy, and collect. It’s not 100-point perfect, nor is it #’s matching to a fault. It’s a classic that any car guy would lust for. It’s a classic you can be damn proud of. And, it’s eye-catching and unique to the nth degree, a true one-of-a-kind. I am a private owner and the vehicle title is shared with the bank as the car was financed through Collector Car Lending. The car is located in Atlanta GA safe and sound under covered parking. The odometer shows 34,231. No warranties expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for shipping if applicable. I welcome personal or third-party inspections and test drives for serious buyers. The vehicle is for sale locally so the listing may be ended without warning. If you want the car, don't hesitate to call me! 678-528-1936 Leave a Message ad Phone Number. No soliciting. DO NOT TEXT. As you can tell I have put a lot of time and money into updating this car mechanically. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

this galaxie came out of a garage in Idaho one owner. very original car and it runs good. has about 133k miles on it and has never been apart. factory original carburetor, distributor all the factory stuff is all still there. it has a big block 352 with a factory holley 4bbl carb and an automatic trans, power steering and power drum brakes. this has been sitting for a few years and tires are showing there age. i have driven it for about 100 miles and all systems seem to work except the original radio and the fuel gauge, i haven't been able to figure that out. it also has a rear end howl at about 50mph so that will need to be addressed. at one point the owner put a lower gear in the rear end so the speedo reads faster than you are going. so the actual mileage is lower than indicated. the interior was originally green and was in very poor shape so a new factory correct black interior was installed. including new carpets, head liner, front and rear seats along with new front and rear door panels arm rests and a very expensive wind shield. there is no rust in this car, i have gone over all of it and the body is very strait there is a small stress crack at the base of the rear window that is shown in the pictures. take a good look at the pictures and you will see how nice and original this galaxie is. feel free to email or call with any questions. Please read the entire description prior to bidding. I'm selling my 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. I purchased this car from the son of the original owner. She passed it along to her son when she was unable to drive it any longer. This car is an original California car with black plates. It has the original 352 cubic inch engine and Cruise-O-Matic transmission, and both perform very well. It starts very easily, even after sitting for weeks at a time. It's a very smooth driving car. No rattles or squeaks. Drives very straight down the road. After I purchased the car, I gave it the requisite tune-up. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor and flushed the fuel and cooling systems, including new fuel lines from the tank. It needed brakes and wheel cylinders, so I replaced those. Brake hoses looked as though they had been replaced fairly recently, no cracking or dry rot. I really wanted to preserve the originality of the car, because the patina is so nice. The paint has been muted over the years and has some places where it is thin. Because of that, the body hides absolutely nothing. Not a smear of filler anywhere on this car. It is about as honest as they come. The body lines are laser straight, like a tailored suit. It does, however, have a couple of small waves and dents (pictured) that were the cause of taking her driving privileges away. No major damage, just a couple of bumps. As mentioned, there is some very minor rust on the right rear quarter and the left drip rail. Aside from that, I have not found a spec any place else on the car. Even under the old carpet kit, or in the trunk. It's a very dry car. All stainless trim in with the car and in better than average condition. All chrome is in good condition.I purchased an interior kit from Dearborn Classics that included complete front seat upholstery, complete carpet kit, Dyna mat, headliner, door scuff plates, and door panels. I have installed the carpet kit and the seat covers, and scuff plates. They are beautiful. The new owner will get the remainder of the parts. Just know, the existing door panels and headliner are in good condition. They show signs of wear, but are still fully funcional. I had the wheels powdercoated to match the color of the car. I replaced the rear 14x7" wheels with a wider 14x8" with correct off set. I installed brand new tires all around the car. It has a very nice stance. Please look at all of the pictures and ask questions. More pictures available on request. I encourage local inspections. Please don't bid if you aren't interested in owning this car. I have all of the paperwork in my name and ready to transfer to the new owner. I will require a $300 non refundable deposit immediately after the auction ends. I require full payment within 5 business days after the auction. Payments accepted can be cash in person, cashiers check (allow time to clear) or wire transfer. I can store the car for a reasonable amount of time if you require shipping. We can discuss this after final payments have been made. I will assist in shipping, just ask.

1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible w original 352 engine that has been fully overhauled. 133k original miles on car, only 3,500 miles on rebuilt engine. I have had ton of work done on this car to make it a daily driver for the summer months only. I have rebuilt the transmission, new rear gears, new tires, battery, full tune up, fuel pump, brakes, emergency brakes, and have all receipts to show it. The engine compartment along w the engine it self is CLEAN. Loud exhaust, sounds runs excellent. There are tons of extras that I have with the car, most importantly which you will not see on the car yet are the GALAXIE 500XL fender scripts. These sell for $750 per side on Ebay and I will NOT separate. I also have all the emblems for the rear quarter panels as well, 352 emblems, hub caps, and many other parts. Outside has minor blemishes. Overall the car is a 10-15 footer. It can be taken to the next level in the right hands. Good luck and happy bidding. Rick

Excellent condition. But not perfect. Its the original owner. Indoor storage. New ford ragtop has been installed only because the top was a little grey from the years past.. A collectors find. Very little needed body work and paint to be in show condition. Estate Sale. Car is in Utah will ship world wide. Buyer pays for shipping. Guaranteed to be a find for a collector looking for a 1965 Galaxy 500XL with the original 352 motor worth adding to their collection. No BS straight up seller. Pictures are as the car sits right now. Owner has past away. She always took the best care of her cars. Parked inside 95% of the time. Starts and runs perfect. Drive it home across the country with confidence. Recently tuned and timed. This car is a sweet car. I Really hate to see it go. There's no other find like this I'm sure. The rear window is glass and that also has recently been changed out with an original ford motor company replacement. Everything on this car works perfect. Even all the dash lights and kick ass AM radio ! Interior has no tears or obvious wear on it. The dash isn't cracked or anything wrong with it. The car has had no modifications anywhere except for a new carb and air cleaner and rims. I have the original air cleaner and original carburetor. The original rims had to be replaced because of the rust under the hub caps that went unnoticed by my mother for 50 years. Tires are new. She was very proud of this car. It was the very first car she purchased new. very carefully taken care of by her thru out the years. I had previously listed the car but the ebay site kicked me off before I could complete my listing and from there the site added what it thot should be. The car was originally listed as an auction and was supposed to have a reserve price of $15000.00. So that is my buy it now price. ok lets try this thing again and see how many interested people ask the stupidest questions. READ THE LISTING iVE PUT EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT THE CAR IN THE ADD. THERES NOT A POSSIBLE QUESTION THAT YOU COULD ASK THAT ISNT ANSWERED IN THE ADD. AND AS FOR ALL THE SCAM JACK ASSES THAT ARE OUT THERE TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. IM HIP TO YOUR STYLES AND WONT FALL FOR YOUR STORIES. ITS CASH AND DRIVE AWAY OR ILL SHIP IT ONCE I GET THE CASH IN HAND. C-A-S-H !

I.V.E. Auto Sales 335 E. Solomon St Griffin , GA 770-233-0060 1965 Ford Galaxie $37,950 Year: 1965 Make: Ford Model: Galaxie Trim: Stock #: 65gal59 VIN: 3S601010101 Transmission: Automatic Exterior Color: Black Interior Type: Leather Mileage: 0 Primary Contact: IVEautosales.com Phone: 770-233-0060 Vehicle Comments The 1965 Galaxie! Once seen that's what you will call this 1965 Satin Galaxie 500 5.9 Cummins! Yes I said a 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel powered by a built automatic transmission with a manual valve body, putting that 500+hp through a DANA rear end. Im going to tell you...It's the coolest car we have ever owned...I say that to tell you when you drive this Galaxie that 5.9 rattle turns heads (Everyone is looking for a truck) when they see this beauty they lose their mind...this ride turns almost every head on the road. We here at IVEautosales.com we love the satin look, we picked satin Black with a satin gold roof accented in gloss contrasting emblems. The interior we had done in flat black with beautifully completed black seats with brushed gold piping. The headlights have been upgraded to ballasted xenon's which looks great, reminds me of the Green Hornet. This is one good looking ROD. Below is a article from Bangshift.com from a couple of years ago on the car::::::::::::::::::As youll see more of today, the diesel swap in a car thing is gaining more and more steam by the week. From 1980s economy boxes getting smallish turbo diesels to cars like this 1965 Galaxie getting a face full of wicked up Cummins power, the economy and performance of these engines is really taking the hot rodding world by storm. Never in a million years did we see this combo coming, though! We have to thank Chris Cabe for the tip on this Galaxie that is currently for sale by IVEautosales.com. With a 500hp Cummins 6BT engine in the front, a Dana 60 axle in the back and a rebuilt and refreshed overdrive automatic trans between the two, this thing has to be awesome to rattle down the road with. The seller is claiming 30mpg and we have no reason to dispute that. With a slightly lowered stance and larger wheels, the car has a whiff of a pro touring vibe. The one thing we would change if we took ownership would be to go with a set of body colored steelies with some fatter meat in the back to give it more of a street racer/drag racer look. Were not knocking the car at all, just a personal stylistic choice, thats all. The 500hp output of the engine means that it is barely breathing hard at this point. There is a TON more power to he had there. In fairness, it is making prodigious torque and enough horsepower now to be hilarious to drive but this thing could be made into Captain Insano levels of fun by standing on that inliner a little harder. A six speed manual transmission would also add to the top end fun here, but again, were just dreaming out loud. Four wheel disc brakes on the corners, a beefy Dana 60 axle out backwhats not to love here? Yes, the Cummins weights in at about 975lb wet and thats a few hundred pounds heavier than a 427 FE engine would be so corner burning may not be its thing, but scaring the pants off of unsuspecting street squirrels sure would be. The want is definitely strong here. 1965 Galaxie rebuilt motor runs good always starts. Not a show car she needs some TLC ,you don't see many around and she draws a crowd at any cruise in. The top is in working order but torn up so a new top will be needed if you plan to use it. leaks some tranny fluid when it sits in storage for extended time ( I am told that is normal) This would be a great car to restore.

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible. The Engine is the original 352. The Engine has been fully overhauled and runs perfect! it has only 3,300 miles on it and is only driven in the summer months. I have improved many parts on it to make it a daily driver, so there are no issues mechanically. Some of these include, rebuilt transmission, new rear gears, new tires, battery, full tune up, fuel pump, brakes, emergency brakes, drive shaft. The Engine compartment & engine it self is CLEAN. There are tons of extras parts that I have with the car, some include the rear quarter panels as well, 352 emblems, hub caps, and many other parts that I just never got to putting on. I have put much work into this car and you would be very happy with it, it turns lots of heads. There is some body work that would need to be done, there are some minor scratches and one small quarter size hole on driver door. Underneath is solid. I'm asking $14,000 with all parts! Please email me back if your interested. Serious inquires only please.
