This is the true classic Ford enthusiast’s car, the previous owner even kept the original registration cards from the sixties! Finished in a dramatic, rich and code correct Rangoon Red over an exceptional black interior, this very special Fairlane shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and compliment the body. The Fairlane name was moved to Ford’s new intermediate, introduced for the 1962 model year, to bridge the gap between the compact Ford Falcon and the full-sized Galaxie. Like the Falcon, the Fairlane had a unibody frame, but the body incorporated an unusual feature Ford dubbed ‘torque boxes’, four boxed structures in the lower body structure designed to absorb road shock by moving slightly in the vertical plane. Suspension was a conventional short-long arm independent arrangement in front with Hotchkiss drive in the rear. Inside, the vinyl black front split bench seat and rear bench seat all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels and dashboard are matched to the exterior of the car and look fantastic. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find. This nicely presented one owner (with original registration cards from the sixties!) Ford Fairlane 500 features a 289 cid, 195hp (C-code)V8 engine with 2 barrel carburetor coupled to a 4- speed manual transmission making this one of the most unique finds one will find now or in the foreseeable future! One of the greatest aspects of the early muscle care era was the capability of these cars to be excellent daily drivers with smooth mild-mannered everyday driving, then with a few modifications, ready for the track at the drop of a hat…or flag! This has to one of the finest low mileage original Fairlanes available on the market today, do not miss out! These C-code Fairlanes are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well kept condition, especially fitted with the 4-speed manual transmission from the factory. As Ford themselves said, “The 64 Fairlane has family-size room and sports-car feel” GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Current mileage on the odometer is original and showing 16,452, it is sold as is on an actual mileage Pennsylvania title. VIN: 4K43C155288 Please contact us for more information. We buy cars! The fully-executed forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Each vehicle has its strengths, styles, tendencies and shortcomings. Therefore, despite our best efforts to verify a vehicle’s mechanical condition, we are not able to warranty a manufacturer’s workmanship or previous owner’s diligence in care. Here is a very nice and sharp 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Hardtop that has had alot of money spent on it doing the restoration back in 2009. The previous owner passed away and his family sold it to us. He loved this car dearly and you can tell. Here is part of what he did to this Fairlane:Built 351 Windsor ( Balanced )Aluminum Heads and IntakeForged PistonsNew HeadersMSD BoxTCI Transmission3000 StallReverse Valve Body Racket ShifterNew 9" Rear with 4:11 GearsNew Gas TankNew Electric Fuel PumpNew Fiberglass Hood and Bumpers ( Has That Thunderbolt Look )New Interior ( Seat Covers, Carpet, headliner, Door Panels )New Aftermarket Gauges For Oil, Temp and Amps that workGrill And All Trim Was Straighten and Polished ( Cost of $1,400 )All New Weather Stripping and RubbersNew Tires and WheelsThe paint is slick and looks great and the body is straight. No rust on this car. It has one place on the trunk lid where the paint had flaked off but that is the only flaw I have seen. ( Easy Fix ) This car runs strong and is very fast. Sounds awesome as well. All lights work including Head Lights, Tail Lights, Blinkers and Brake Lights. The guy who built it was wanting the Thunderbolt look. Very nice car!! I don't know the miles on engine or transmission since rebuilt. Was told by previous family less than 3,000 and I am sure that is true. I have alot more pics of this beautiful car if anyone is interested in seeing them just let me know. This car is also For Sale locally and on other sites so auction could end early. It is being sold as is with no warranty given or implied in anyway. Pre Sale inspections are welcomed and encouraged so you will know exactly what you are bidding on but this must be done BEFORE END OF AUCTION!! If you make an offer and it is accepted then you have bought it. This car is being sold with a current Georgia registration as Georgia is a non title state on older cars like this. You will be able to get a title in your state with the paperwork I give you so don't worry about this. Any questions please ask. Thanks for looking

One of the most special features are it's signed deck lid. It has been autographed by four of the original Thunderbolt owners and racers: Dick Brennan, Bill Holbrook, Hubert Platt and Phil Bonner. With additional signatures of the Dearborn Steel Technicians...and even Albert Ford (the great great grandson of Henry Ford himself). It has won numerous awards including 2nd place in the Fairlane Club of America's national show in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the Thunderbolt in Dearborn, MI.
