63 1/2 Ford Galaxie 2dr Fastback About the Car. This is one of my favorite cars. I bought this car as an average runner/driver for around 3500 dollars. I have done a lot of work to the car and spent an enormous amount of time and money. It has been a complete frame off restoration. As you can see from the pictures it has not been completed. It needs paint, upholstery, and reassembly. I have all the parts and pieces to finish the restoration and they go with the car if it sells. So if you are looking at the pics and thinking it is a hunk of junk, it is not true. Almost all of the time consuming and expensive parts of the full restoration have been completed. The metal work and body work have been completed, it basically needs some sanding and paint. The interior for this project is not complete, I have the interior parts that came with the car when I bought it but I have not had them re-upholstered. That being said, I have a lot in this build and probably can't list everything but here are some details. The frame has been painted and undercarriage complete, whole car has been sand blasted, body work done and is in an epoxy primer. It has a completely rebuilt 406 cid V8 engine with no miles on the rebuild (it is still on the engine stand), Tri power 4 speed car. It has the factory cast iron headers, solid lifter engine, fast back body style looks marvelous (great car for a ford/nascar enthusiast). Has 17" wheels and tires that are seen in the pictures. Have all glass as well. Have everything to finish the car for a hobbyist who would like to engage in this project. The interior needs to be done and as I've stated all the original pieces I have but haven't re-upholstered them. Car needs sanding and painting, and complete reassembling. I put 12,000.00 on the price, this is negotiable. So don't email me with nasty comments. I realize I'm not going to get back what I've put into it and I realize 12k is a higher starting price. It is one of my favorite cars in the world and I am only selling it because I need the money. this car is absolutely the best original condition 63 galaxie I have seen in over 10 years. the car was imported to Canada from California approx. 25 years ago. that owner stripped the car down due to not liking the colour white and somewhere lost momentum as the car sat in the garage for approx. 20 years as you see it now. i bought this car to build it but i have too many other cars on the go and do not have indoor storage for it so I would rather see an eager appreciative enthusiast take this car and bring it back to life and not see it sit outside for the next 2 years, it is just too clean for that. the GOOD:the car is the most rust free i have seen, coming from Californiafactory AC appears to be complete car is very complete, all the parts appear to be there and in useable condition The NOT so GOOD:the roof has some pinholes in it. at sometime this car sat with tarp on it and it seems the moisture was trapped under the tarp and there are pinholes in the roof in various places. i sourced a used roof for $300 and many bodymen stated to me they would rather replace a roof than quarter panels and floors, so it is not MAJOR detriment to the car but feel need to disclose to the interested buyer.the 390 has lifter/tappet/stuck valve noise. we got the engine running but noticed the noise and do not want t push our luck and damage hard parts internally. this could be an easy fix and the engine runs really good. a lot of guys spend a couple thousand on sheet metal panels and tonne of hours to put them in, and then even more hours to do the final bodywork to make the car straight- have a good look at the pics and save yourself a tonne of money by buying a solid car to start with and give this car a new home it needs. shipping , border export is all very simple. seller has experience and contacts and will assist buyer to make the transaction seamless good luck!!

For sale is a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL. This is a nice vehicle. I purchased it a couple of years ago because I wanted a nice classic vehicle that was nice to drive and didn't need much work. The problem is, I haven't been able to enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I would like to keep it but would rather put this money towards a '34 Ford Coupe. Not sure of how many owners but from what I gathered, I am like the 4th or 5th owner. Appears that there was a somewhat amateur repainting and interior work done. I'm assuming sometime in the 80's (just a guess). Mechanic changed the oil pan and transmission pan gasket and was very impressed with the guts. He said the engine and transmission looked brand new. There is no visible rust. This classic runs and drives. There is a lil smoke when driving but not bad. It might need some attention but nothing serious. This vehicle is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is for sale locally and this auction may be terminated at any time. I don't need to sell it so don't even waste your time with low ball offers.
